Located 500 metres above sea level, the Ròseo Hotel offers panoramic views across Assisi and the Umbrian valley. A free shuttle connects you to Assisi's town centre in 5 minutes.

Located in a renovated nunnery, the Nun Assisi Relais has panoramic views of Assisi and Mount Subasio. It offers a spa set in Roman excavations and uniquely-decorated rooms with design furnishings.

Set in the Medieval quarter of Assisi, Hotel Giotto is just 650 ft from the Basilica of Saint Francis. It offers an elegant restaurant with spa center and panoramic views out over Spoleto and Perugia....
Score from 227 reviews Very good
Hotel Il Palazzo is in the left wing of Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, a 16th century building halfway between Assisi's Basilica of Saint Francis and Piazza del Comune square. Rooms include free Wi-Fi.

Magnificent hotel , loved everything... Would come back and stay permanently !
Wifi was tough !
Tranquility, fabulous views and beautiful rooms. Restaurant produce sourced from own farm.
Unmetalled road approach was a little tricky especially in the dark. Need to dine in the hotel as no other restaurants nearby but not a problem as food and service great.
The site is beautiful as the surroundings ,..the buildings etc .
1)The access is rather difficult and strenuous as the road is narrow winding ,up and down and it takes almost half an hour to drive from there to Assisi ,only 11km away !!! 2)The quality of the food in the restaurant is rather poor for the area ..By contrast the breakfast is more than correct.
Wonderful place, brilliant location, couldn't fault it. The staff were well informed and friendly. The food was excellent and the room was delightful. We really enjoyed our stay.
The excitement of the narrow mountain road getting there followed by the welcome on arrival at the beautiful peaceful hotel property The fabulous food and excellent service The long walks in beautiful surroundings and perfect isolation
There was nothing we did not like
Great scenery all around. Excellent service, food and accommodation.
Location a bit too remote
Glorious countryside setting
Food not as good as on previous visits Poolside facilities need upgrading Wifi not accessible in room
The wildness of the mountain and the restaurant was very good.
It is extremely remote and the road to reach there is not very good and much to arduos to go out much.
Beautiful location, fantastic food and wine, friendly staff
A bit run down, site poorly maintained, lack of staff, especially senior staff.
personal attention, views of assisi, especially at night.
Excellent service and staff, food, room, grounds, pool, beautiful views.
Even though we are experienced New York City drivers, we found the drive down Monte Subasio to visit Assisi and other towns in north Umbria a bit daunting.
Upper swimming pool was deserted yet it has a stunning setting, infinity view across the hills. Dinner on the terrace was a must. Umbrian beer is good too. Lovely to sit on any of the terraces just to take in the views.
Breakfast is a bit limited. Egg and bacon were overcooked but cold. Room was dark and electricity was erratic. Some footpaths weren't always marked that well and can be slippy after rain. The cascara was more trickle-ata.
Exceptional service by staff, huge, spotless room with great views. Located in a game reserve with fantastic views . excellent restaurant and one of the best breakfast we have experienced in italy. This hotel will not disappoint.it has more of a luxurious country lodge atmosphere than a hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to detach from the typical tourist attractions. The hotel and views are picturesque, the staff is friendly and accomodating and the resturant is supurb.
The journey from the train station to the hotel is rugged after you leave Assisi. Our cab driver was quite experienced, I felt like I was riding a rollercoaster. Once we arrived at the hotel it was all worth it. I would recommend the hotel purchase additional tennis balls for guests. It is easy for the balls to go missing in this setting and unfortunately there were none for us to use. The ping pong table was a very practical alternative! Also no horseback riding is available thougth this was mentioned as an activity on the web site.
everything!!! the hotel, the location, the staff!!!
The property and facilities are simply stunning. It is about a 20-30 minute drive up the mountain around from Assisi, which is not too bad once you get used to it. Just an amazing place!
That there wasn't a mid-price option at the restaurant for dinner.
