You are probable already aware that I am an observer specialising in customer relations in hotel groups. Your staff were very friendly and very animated but bordered false in their approach. They have quite blatantly been drilled at training stage to greet each guest everytime they come within a few meters of them. That can be quite irratating but nevertheless the theory behind this is a positive one: just one that needs some fine tuning. I hope to see this improve should I return. noticable differences in the treatment of different guests. You should never under estimate the power of the people who choose your standard rooms. Doors were closed in my face to make way for some of your impreial suite guests. Panic and fear riddled the hearts of the service staff at breakfast when the 'more important guests' arrived. This is never a good look although it did make me grin inside and certainly gave me food for thought. I did not recieve any comlimentary water and instead was forced into your serioiulsy over priced mini bar - the charges in here are beyond the realms of all reasonable imagination. Only seeing is believing! Dirty drinking glasses were left outside my door and not replaced for the entire stay. The lady at reception struggled badly to speak even the most basic english - directing any query I had to the concierge who commanded better linguistic skills - poor.

Facilities were eloquent. . It really upset me during each of the four occurances that a maid attempted to enter my room before checking out at 12 pm. Also, the maids were camped outside of my room all morning and I could hear them talking. Really lost a sense of privacy with these occurances.

Everything was really awesome...had a great stay. We tried to have dinner at the Pergola Resturant on the 9th floor and were told it was fully booked two weeks in advance. I suggest that the hotel should accomodate its guests before allowing outside guests to dine in.

The Rome Cavalieri is truly a first rate hotel, Very expensive but worth every cent. The artwork is exquisite, the staff are genuinely extremely friendly. This the the Hilton Groups flagship hotel in Europe and it is easy to understand why.

First class hotel, well situated with shuttle bus service to within a walk of the Vatican.. Hotel and facilities would rival any hotel . Staff very accomodating and staying there even in the first snow storm in 25 years was a pleasure. We would not consider staying anywhere else on our next trip to Rome. Nothing to dislike,Some building work in the restraunt meant a makeshift dining area was available but still very nice.

Great hotel with great service and attention to detail. The location (outside of the city on a hill) provides you with an amazing view over the city but makes you depended on either the hotel shuttle bus (free) or taxis. But compared to the rather noisy hotels in the city with tiny rooms, this is worth the trade off.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious. The view above Rome is spectacular. The live Piano Player is world class. Too late information about construction work in some areas of the hotel.

Fabulous artworks, gardens and view. The Imperial Club makes for an excellent experiance and deal if you use it alot and don't have a Rome view room. Pool and spa are outstanding and were still open in late October due to the good weather. Overall a great Hotel with excellent staff throughout. We had three rooms and two were late.

My wife & I were on a 7 week vacation & thought we would pamper ourselves for one night at a so called 5 star hotel. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels in Australia & throughout Asia and would only rate this as 4 at best. This hotel even charged for the use of the pool at a rate of 18 euro per person per day. We actually upgraded to a so called suite and luckily had the pool included. It was like trying to get past security just to get to the pool also having to identify your room no. When passing the spa area, very over the top, just trying to get to a pool, not even a great one at that. On checking out the number of guests were arguing about their accounts & check out was so time consuming. Location was not close to anything so you were confined as well. Only positive was they had the best pillows. Would definitely not recommend this hotel. Suggest they visit real quality 5 star hotels. Refer all above. Glad to check out. Even when our do not disturb sign was on door they kept letting themselves in & then apologizing.

The room was large clean with a great balcony, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was as large and well lit. Overpriced. Nothing was included. Charged 18 euros to lay by the pool and 27euros for a 24 hour wifi connection. Shuttle to town was not avalible on Sundays or bank holidays. No ammenities near by and taxi to town was average of 12 euros.

The views over Rome are to die for, my favourite european city hotel. From arrival to departure the employees (excluding the catering staff) are more than accommodating and seem to go that extra yard to help Very dissapointed with the service at breakfast, asked twice for milk that never arrived staff continued to chat about what they did the night before, Inga being the main culprit. Ate breakfast in the imperial room thereafter, much more attentive service although with a lot smaller choice. In my opinion the standards have slipped since i last came two years ago, but they are still superior to most top european hotels.

The breakfast Buffet and the swimming pool - The daily charge of 26 euros for connecting to internet in my room - the excessive charge of the minibar in the room - the charge of 20 euros to watch a DVD movie ( one viewing pays for the cost of the DVD) - the charge of 5 euros to listen to some music - the charge of 18 euros for a lounge chair at the pool - the cost of evrything. The price of a glass of Italian wine exceeds that charged by the top hotels in Hong Kong
