Just behind Rome's Pantheon, this charming property is in a building that was once home to Giuseppe Garibaldi. It has air-conditioned rooms with LCD TVs and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 409 reviews Very good
The room, the view of Rome, the food, the staff, the pool and spa and the free shuttle bus into town
Free wifi? If it's there, I couldn't find it. Also, "paid for" wifi is simething in the region of €20 per day. Not the hotel's fault, but there is a €7 per day/person tourist tax that you're hit with @ checkout.
Staff, room size, balcony
Beautiful resort, beautiful breakfast! Rooms where nice with city view. Close to the city centre. A very romantic place to be! Can recommend!
No free wi-fi
One of the best service that you can get!
Wonderful location with an amazing view. By foot we could reach the Vatican in 30 min otherwise they have a shuttle to commute to Rome. Excellent food: we do recommend the breakfast, which is breathtaking. Nice SPA. Very competent and friendly staff. Comfortable clean room, beautiful garden where it is possible to jog and very nice common area . In on word: We will be back !!!
The staff, the incredible comfort, the beauty of the hotel. Sheer opulence. The art around the hotel! Possibly the best I've ever stayed in.
Paying for WiFi! The location was awkward as the shuttle bus stopped too early,in my opinion but overall the hotel was wonderful.
It was a great vacation opportunity. I was treated in a special way which made me feel like a princess in a modern world.
Spa and pool area is one of the best I've ever experienced. Steam room was amazing. We had an issue in the beginning of our stay and Manager Debra was not friendly, but sufficient in solving it. Dinner food is expensive but good. Pillow menu is unique and appreciated. Room looked beautiful and it was nice to have balcony.
#1 issue: there are many hidden fees in addition to booking cost!!! Upon #check-in you are notified that the spa costs $20 per person, per day. #Breakfast is $40 per person. And wifi is $30 per day!!!! Btw wifi #didn't work properly most of the stay! Be prepared to add at least #$200 if not more like $300-$500 on top of the cost of your stay, #depending on how many people are traveling. Staff was horrible, except for the housekeeping/bell staff. Front desk was stuck-up and unfriendly and spent a long period of time explaining very convoluted package options during check-in that is supposed to help discount the extra costs, which they do not bother to disclose first. Concierge was unhelpful, disengaged, and snooty. Never experienced such an inattentive Concierge service. Breakfast was huge but not very many of the offerings were actually any good. Would have preferred quality over quantity. The room looked nice but the bed was as hard as a rock, it was so stuffy (even with the air on the highest/coolest setting). We slept with the balcony door open every night to breathe. Balcony was also nice but looked out onto an unattractive apartment building and a huge satellite tower. Free shuttle to the city center is essential because you are in the middle of nowhere, however one of the nights it simply didn't come to pick us up and we were left to find our own way back along with 20 other guests, which ended up being a $60 cab ride. Would not stay at this hotel again even if you paid me to, whichis so sad since the spa was perfection.
The hotel was fantastic, the breakfast was outstandling and the service was second to none
Beautiful, top notch staff.
Our room has been upgraded from deluxe king to imperial , so we stay at 7th level where the view is just unreal. Amazing hotel, with very good restaurants, very helpful staff, room service was perfect. We had the dinner at La Pergola where everything was at really high standards. Hope we will come back soon :)
we only stay one night :((
Thoroughly enjoyed the spa, the privileges of the Imperial Club - well worth the upgrade. Our room was lovely and the weather in February super.
Having to pay for Wii Fi in your room
Very kind staff, exellent breakfest , confortable room, high quality of used material , art pictures and sculptures. Shatle bus driver Massimo extremly kind and polite.
Contrary to driver Massimo, the other driver who was driving in second shift , was too rude and unpolite. He is not at all person who deserves to be employed by such high quality hotel.
Extraordinary city requires Extraordinary and Memorable Place to Stay.. You feel like a Caesar...
The view of hotel was nice.
The location was like 20 minutes far away by taxi to center of Rome. The breakfast was good but same everyday. Nothing was change the next day.there wasnt a free wifi in rooms.
It is like a museum but with an epic view over the City.
You need a car, taxi or a shuttle bus to the centre.
The staff were very kind and helpful and acted in a very professional manner, the rooms are as big as promised and comfortable as well with a balcony, what I like the most was the lounge on the 7th floor where they serve free beverages and snacks all day from early morning till 11pm with free high speed internet(only in the lounge and the lobby), and the staff were at service when required. There are several shops on the ground floor.
-No free wifi in rooms! I still find it odd in now days for hotels with very high reputation and standards and still not provide free wifi for the guests ! -The wifi in the room costs 25€, an outrageous price for one day wifi and for only 3 devices (note that we were 3 in one room)! -The location might be an issue for some, it is approximately 15min drive to the city and 5-10min driver to the Vatican city.
From the moment we checked in service and staff very friendly and helpful.Room was excellent with a beautiful view of Rome.Hotel facilities were excelent.
Should have been free Wi FI in the rooms.
beautiful view over Rome and comfortable rooms. short trip to centre of Rome but far enough out of the city to relax.
Beautiful art in the hotel.
Far away from Rome's main attractions. The hotel was dated and the price were high reflecting location.
We had such a wonderful stay: comfort, cleanliness, facilities, staff: great.
Internet costs €25 a day in the room!
pretty hotel lobby, Rome view rooms have a great view, bus shuttle is very pleasant
- only 1 bathrobe in room (not only in our room) - room service took old towels and didn't bring new ones (we found out late in the evening) - early request (water boiler to make tea or coffee for pregnant wife) was not considered at all - early request for a few fruits in the room was not considered at all - no free wifi (24EUR fee per day for the wifi is ridiculous!) - Room decoration partially damaged - fitness center and spa cost 20EUR per day - people at reception are nice but not service oriented - always felt like a have to beg for service
Everything I liked it's the best
Location- way up the hill, not accessible by foot, need to take taxi everytime which can be very expensive. Shuttle service doesn't stop by the Vatican. Wifi not free in the room considering the high price tag.
the broken old bed the service missing towels in the bathroom excessively expensive for any addition (8 euro small cappuccino???) 10 euro room service on a 30 euro salad ? 25 euro mediocre breakfast
