we stayed here one night. very friendly team and very helpfull. Nice clean rooms, and good breakfast too. would come here again anytime
the restaurant downstairs asked us to wait outside for 8-10 minutes at 7.01 PM even the open at 7PM. needless to say we went somewhere else for dinner
We liked everything about this hotel, from the welcome we received when we arrived, the names of the rooms, the little tea room to relax in with tea and drinks galore, the room was so comfortable and clean, the breakfast had a nice variety, very happy here. Its also so easy to find, the number 23 bus will take you to the next street, about 5 mins walk to the hotel. It has a shopping centre across from it and a restaurant beside it. Great location. It took about 25mins to get into the city centre from here, which wascperfect for us.
The hotel is on the first floor, with no elavator but the staff did run out to help with our bags so it wasnt really an issue.
Monica and her team are absolutely outstanding. The Best !
Very quiet , good size rooms, friendly staff. Tea and cake.
Hard to find anything negative.
Small hotel w/ fine architecture, layout and interesting furnishings - from the framed golf prints (my husband noticed immediately!) To the pretty mural of Florence's skyline in our room. Well done! LOCATION: We were 3 nights at the Mulino (4 star, pricey) and we enjoyed it very much but felt too far from the Florence we flew here to see. Rosary (meaning rose) Garden is an idea location. A short bus ride from Piti Palace and Gardens, Piazzale Michaelangelo (best views of Florence from here). Just across the Arno River from Uffizi Museum, I'll Duomo, Galleria dell'Academia (statue of David). The owner,Monica, and her assistant, Julia, speak English and have been helpful and welcoming everyday. Good size Coop market nearly across the street for buying anything from prepared entrees, cheese, wine to aspirin, plastic wrap and a saute pan for your home kitchen - all of which we purchased. Enjoyed the tea and breakfast rooms, too.
Ok this may sound picky but... The restaurant next door has good Eggplant Parmasian but the chef put only a few slices of mushroom on my Funghi Pasta! Like an after thought. :( They have a huge basket of fresh mushrooms on display... So I ask for some!
Small and friendly
Warm, lovely and personal, sums up this hotel and it's staff. Quite a way from all the action but once you have worked out the bus route it's quick and easy . We liked the fact that the hotel is in an urban area where the ordinary folk of Florence go about their business.
The hotel was great, located out of the city centre but very convenient. We arrived into Florence by train and caught the no 23 bus to the hotel. The bus in and out of the city was very easy, the hotel also sell the bus tickets. The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and helpful with city info. The room ( no 21) we stayed in was one of the biggest we stayed in for the entire 4 week holiday we had in Italy. Beautifully decorated and the lovely lounge was a great spot to have a drink after dinner. We walked home one night after dinner in the city, took about 45 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel needs to update their website with the correct bus arrival stop.
Excellent for public transport to centre of Florence . Very good local restaurants
Wi Fi is weak
Helpful, friendly staff, decent breakfast, good attention to detail. A little out of the historic center, but easy to get there by bus or cab. Very quiet. Very good gelato in the shop downstairs.
Just stayed one night but pretty good overall
Had to carry the suitcase over flight of stairs
Quiet location yet handy for public transport , Very clean and tidy, room where tea and coffee plus biscuits were available, also a small selection of drinks, martini Etc. very good breakfast and a very good restaurant on the ground floor, this was a separate business but very good
WI-fi was very poor, you could log onto it but it was very poor And intermittent .
Great service The staff was always helpful and nice. The room and the restroom was fairly comfortable too.
Wifi signal is very weak The location is far from the main sights and you have to travel by bus (which is usually full of people) so if you have a big luggage this is not the place I would recommend.
family owned and operated hotel, beautifyly decorated
The Staff were excellent and very helpful. Close to bus into Florence and close to shopping centre.
That they didn't have a restaurant but I knew that when I booked.
very clean, lots of personality, staff very welcoming and very willing to give guidance.
The staff is polite and friendly. The room was clean and had plenty of outlets for devices.
I stayed here one night because I was returning to Florence for a flight the following day. We spent the first 3 days of our 14 day trip at a different hotel very near the Duomo. I booked Hotel Rosary Garden because of the low price, good reviews, and because my first hotel was booked. But I didn't save any money in the end because I had to pay for 4 cab rides to and from the hotel because it is so far away from the best part of Florence. Also, the night manager did not speak English and couldn't help us with the air conditioning (that wasn't working very well) . Yes, I know I'm in Italy, but found most hotel staff have good English.
The hotel is about 15mins bus journey from the Historical Town of Florence the rooms are butefull and the beds are very comfortable the breakfast was lovely it was just the eye for detail everything about the hotel was very quinte and the staff very helpful and friendly and there is a great restaurant right next door,
Quiet and clean. Great breakfast. Located about 10 to15 minute bus ride from the center of town.
Lovely rooms Great breakfast Some of the staff nice Nice places to eat close by
A little bit to far out of the way. But in a very nice area.
Cleanliness was a real problem - we were there four days and found things all over the room, including under the bed, that weren't ours (including someone else's comb) upon our return to the room. Found the towels unchanged. Front desk just made excuses for the cleaning crew - I don't care if things were checked off on a list - the truth is they simply weren't done. My wife cut her toe on a cracked tile in the bathroom and again there was an excuse, "well, this is an old building and things settle...." Boring neighborhood two miles from the Florence we came to see.
Nice to be off the beaten tourist path. Walking or taking the bus to the Florence Duomo or museums no problem. Breakfast good.
Not particularly clean. Found items left by the cleaning crew throughout the room, including under the bed. Towels not changed. Broken tile in the bathroom cut my wife's foot. A lot of excuses by various staff members.
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and very good. Room was spacious
Very poor internet service. The room at one time would have been lovely but the rugs looked like they were very dirty or really old. Bed cover and decorative pillows were dingy, need fresher look. Shower had mold growing. A big No No. We thought it was walking distance to center of town but we had to take a bus. It was the first time in Italy I felt a little unsafe, but we had no problems.
We liked everything about this hotel!!!
A very nice smallish family run hotel. Very friendly staff, clean and we'll equipped even had fresh coffee in rooms. In busy town square can be a little noisy outside but good sound proofing of needed by keeping windows closed.
Smallish shower that's the only downside in my room
