We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The facilities are gorgeous, with beautiful gardens. The property is located on a cliff with a breathtaking view of the bay and Vesuvius. The hotel offers very nice breakfast and dinners, served in a spacious restaurant overlooking the bay. There are two little walkways to access a beach and a smaller village with another 4 wonderful restaurants and a beach. The hotel is well connected with Sorrento and Massa Lubrense with local buses coming every 15-30min (depending on the time of the day). It is a perfect place if you are looking to visit the bustling Amalfi coast, do some hiking and sightseeing, but also want to escape the busy touristic center of Sorrento or Amalfi. We are in love with the place and the stuff who welcomed us and was extremely helpful. We highly recommend for longer and shorter says. We will be coming back for sure.

The Taverna is located right on the beach in the tiny seaside area of Nerano. It’s very relaxing and the hotel is very well kept and managed by a lovely staff. We had the largest room (suite) with a view patio so it was very comfortable.

Staff was exceptional! From the minute we walked in, they invited us like we were family with unending smiles. Beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail and cleanliness. Food was exquisite and unforgettable. Relais Blu tasting with wine pairing at the Michelin rated restaurant is to live for! Views are breathtaking, offering picturesque photo opportunities everywhere, especially sunrises and sunsets. Our room was gorgeous and spacious. Highly recommend this stunning paradise in Italy.

Absolutely everything except the bed, it was very firm. Restaurants in this small cove were outstanding! Easy bus to Sorrento right out front.

This place is unbelievable, Villa Angelina is truly a unique property. The Villa stands on the top of a cliff giving you an almost 360 degree unobstructed view of Sorrento, Capri, Vesuvius and of course the hills of Massa Lubrense (the area where Villa is located at, a few km outside of Sorrento center). This main Villa you see pictured is often used as a wedding venue. We saw three weddings take place the weekend we were there. So keep that in mind when trying to book during weekends. We ended up staying in the third building they have in the property. It was great, the building is arranged like a multifamily triplex where every room has their entrance with a porch area. The building I stayed in was deep in the property about 700m away from the main Villa, so it was quiet and isolated from the action in main property. It also had its own huge terrace where me and my friends would go watch the sunset. The Villa and the neighboring properties all grow their own olives so another neat thing about the property is that they were being harvested while we were there. Breakfast was good, let's say it was an Italian continental breakfast, and you could order tea or coffee. There was enough space to park a car or scooter (that's what I used). I really enjoyed how much this place stood out in comparison to the rest. We passed by the Villa by boat and we could point it out on the way to Capri.

We had a lovely room with typically large doors opening onto a well-sized patio with lounges overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The bath and shower were a bit small but did not deter from our experience. The restaurant that was adjacent to the hotel was excellent. Sergio was a wonderful host.

Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do.
Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do. Beaches are not nice here but there is a harbour where you can get an expensive boat trip to Capri. No buses around and taxi is ridiculously expensive... however a beautiful little village if you like peace and quiet and don't want to leave your accommodation at all for the trip. The nearest beach was Puolo beach (10 minute drive) which had dirty water, lots of boats and rentable chairs but no regular sandy beach space and quite far off if you don't take a taxi all the way there.

Massa Lubrense is a beautiful village right out side Sorrento. The views are stunning and it feels very immersed into the community, rather than the touristy atmosphere in Sorrento. There are plenty of restaurants and little shops near by. Would recommend Scooters or a Rental car however, because the busses in this region are not as reliable, but no matter where you stay in Almafi, that would be the case.

Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly...
Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly locals, but we hadnt realised it was quite so hilly.. and getting used to the Italian style of driving takes a while.. particlularly on the narrow mountain/hill roads with their hairpin bends and steep climbs, enough without someone parked on your bumper trying to get past on a blind bend.. Sorrento was particularly hectic, even at 24:00, often without any clear right of way or give way signs...tbh a nightmare to drive through at that particlular time, look on youtube for driving video to Amalfi, Sorrento etc for proper preview of conditions
Beaches although nice, with clear water were mostly pebble, and if you go in the water, watch out for the (small) jellyfish.. I had only been in the water a few minutues, about to go swim and got a sting across my leg.. ok it wasnt a Portugese Man o War but it wasnt expected.. no real pain, just an unexpected and unwanted surprise.. All I can say is research well and make sure you are comfortable with driving conditions and pebble beaches.. also for the better beach areas you often have to pay!
We came for 6 nights and cut off before time.
The house has a beautiful view but other than that in terms of value for money I believe the place was over priced - Beds are uncomfortable, only one of the showers worked and the one that did has really a weak current of water.
The washing machine was very old and didn’t rinsed our clothes.
The town was cute but at lease 35 min to Sorrento, so maybe better to split our stay worth another place
It was clean and had everything we needed. Massa Lubrense was a small little town just 20 minutes from Sorrento. So easy to get around with public transport. The bus stop was just around the corner and departed every 15 minutes. Loved this little town as it was away from the chaos of the more popular cities and had everything we needed there. There were supermarkets restaurants and most importantly it was quiet and the price was great.
Lovely pool area with beautiful views over Capri. Comfortable rooms with good air con and a proper duvet. A short bus ride (20 mins) into Sorrento with tickets available at reception. The restaurant is fantastic, the best food we had in Italy and reasonably priced. Loved the tagliatelle pasta and the steak. The pancakes for breakfast were delicious too! A wonderful stay. Friendly staff.
Absolutely stunning, highly recommended. The restaurant, Michelin starred-food and service outstanding.
The hotel, super clean all members of the staff are really helpful. We spend only 2 nights here but we wish we actually stayed shorter in Positano and Ravello and instead booked here for longer. The beach is not overcrowded as in Amalfi coast.
I would highly recommend to everyone.
Perfect stay in Sorrento area- Massa Lubrense! Away from the crowds and surrounded by nature. We loved the location and free parking, the hosts were exceptional and helped with everything we needed, the room was clean and super nice and the breakfast was super delicious. We’re considering to return here some day, very good experience.
The location is beautiful, it’s secluded and a bit far from the center but they offer free shuttle and leave you right in the center.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good for our taste - eggs, cheese, ham, fresh and tasteful fruit. There was no vegetables but I think that is pretty standard for Italy.
One of the best villa we had stayed during our vacations. Great view and clean well equipped house. Pool and lawns was also great. It was still cold when we stayed in early april, so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors and balconies. We purchased dinner one night. Great dinner and the chilled Tiramisu was once the best we have had!
Fantastic place for calm family vacation
Friendly owner, knows a lot of interesting about Italy, shares about culture, museums, interesting place to visit etc
The house is surrounded by lemon trees with a fresh smell. The house is hidden from the center of the city, its really quiet place, but just 3 mins from bus station.
I enjoyed the proximity to the city center and the fact that a driver was sent for me to get me at the Sorrento station. The owner helped me get from Florence to Massa Lubrense with detailed instructions and helped me along the way from purchasing the tickets to how to navigate which stations to go to.
The hotel is located between Sorento and Massa Lubrense. It is easy to access with car and the rooms have balconies with beautiful view of Mediterranean Sea and Capri Island. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The hotel has a nice terrace with swimming pool.
Interesting and kind host, always here to help us. Speaks lots of languages and has experience in hôtel services. Scooter rental and boat trips recommendations that are easy to organize. Restaurants are nice next to the accommodation, also in Massa Lubrense (bus 4mn).
Stunning views, the friendliest staff, a spotless hotel in an oasis of calm. From arrival to departure we were very well looked after - nothing was too much trouble for the splendid hotel team. A highlight was the wine tasting with the excellent Luciano! Thank you!
The hotel was far from Sorrento and in an Italian village.
The manager and staff were amazing and the facility was situated in an isolated but beautiful spot. Ideal for those who do not want to see anyone on their vacation.
Nice bright, airy clean room, Gianmarco, the receptionist was super helpful and friendly. The pool area was quiet and relaxing. Great location for Massa Lubrense and easy to get the bus to Sorrento, every 20 mins.
Nestled away in the hills of Massa Lubrense. Beautiful area and view from property. Luigi, the owner, makes you feel like family and assists in every way possible. Be it transfers or recommendations.
it’s 10 meters from the beach. Marco the owner is great, giving tips and can take you to sorrento or the parking lot.
the beach is nice and quiet, and it’s close enough to sorrento.
Gorgeous view from the grounds (no view from the room), ample parking, people are generally friendly, very easy to get into Sorrento or drive the Amalfi coast.
