Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious (especially the homemade cakes!) and the terrace was beautiful. Location is very convenient (shopping area and tourist attractions very close but still the hotel is very quiet).

Room was not very big and quite dark.

The hotel, room and staff were very nice.

Catania can be a very dirty city. The main tourist areas are OK (ish). The rest of the city is filthy. Don't stay in the city for longer than you have too. There are much, much cleaner and nicer cities and towns. Catania needs to clean up its act. The traffic is maniac.

Hotel should add hot items at breakfast. This is needed for a four star hotel. Hotel should improve the comfort of beds. Hotel should add places to sit in lounge. There is no where to read outside of the hotel room.

The major convenience was location and being able to park conveniently in the Palazzo courtyard. The front desk staff quickly made sure that both the faulty tv tuning and air conditioning were correctly adjusted. The rooms are well appointed, though the taste of decor is "yesterday's modern rich Italian" and very heavy - not very appealing

The gadgetry involved in operating lights etc is unnecessarily complex. The service and the actual quality of the breakfast was disappointing: stale bread, no toaster, no muesli only cornflakes, cold hard-boiled eggs, unripe fruit, teabag tea made (bizarrely) in a cafetiere, no marmalade or jam or honey. It was unhelpful, though original, that the rooms were not clearly numbered - but instead named. One had the sense that the hotel was not well managed, though it was clean and the front desk and maids cleaning the rooms were friendly and agreeable.
