Great stuff, very friendly and helpful. Location is great - just across the street from the Coleseum, room is big
No elevator, floor was broken in a certain area, no stuff is available during the night, breakfast is basic.
View - restaurant - staff - location.
Nothing, it was all great.
Great location - right next to Colosseum, nice morning breakfast, close to some good restaurants and Gelato, free wifi
AC was fair, not all outlets and light switches worked, toilet seat broke, wifi was slow
Very kind staff, location is excellent
There is a noisy bar (their restaurant) on the ground floor
Beautiful decor, comfortable beds, view to colosseum, in the city centre, near main transport stops
The noisiness of this place : I couldn't sleep all night long. The breakfast is poor, they don't give you any sweet things, althought they had some cakes on the table. We even saw a coackroach in our bathroom.
Location was good. Air conditioner finally cooled the room down but if te room wouldn't have been opened up at first and so hot it wouldn't have taken a whole day to cool down.
The man in te restaurant was very helpful in getting us a taxi in the rain, but the woman who helped us with the hotel bill was not helpful and told us to sand outside ( in the pouring rain) and try to hail down a taxi for 5 people (when it was clear no taxis were big enough for 5)
Super close to colosseum, metro station approx. 5 minute walk
Water stains on the roof, noisy atmosphere (I guess this is expected with the location), shower didn't drain properly so I had to get wet, turn it off and let it drain, soap and rinse it off, turn the water off and let it drain, then was finally able to shampoo my hair
Location was simply awesome. We arrived there very late and all the surrounding diners were no longer serving dinner, even the b&b itself. The staff was kind enough to ask the kitchen staff to prepare some food for us and our 3-year old daughter.
Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Great location and easy to find. This place is all about location, location, location. So easy to take great photos of the colosseum lit up at night just by walking across the street. That's convenience! Also, as lively as the restaurant /bar was downstairs, close the bathroom door and window, run the AIr Conditioner and you won't hear a thing.
Quad room did not have a view of the colosseum from the room as pictured. Room 102 has the view. 103 does not. If that matters. I was over it in seconds but that may matter to others.
I liked the price, location (facing the Colleseum), comfort (big room) and very clean
I didn't like the breakfast and that is no lift in it
Close to attractions and transport
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The position in front of coliseum
The is no lift. The room has only a window on the terrace so we can open the drapes because close the window there were people that were having lunch The noise of the people on the terrace We find beetle in the bathroom
Staff were so nice and very helpful, and the location couldn't be any better. Our room and bathroom were large and had a beautiful view.
The shower didn't work well at all, and the bed was probably the least comfortable I've ever slept on.
The owner was fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. Perfect Location, very clean all in all a great place to stay.
That I could only stay for one night!!
- The room was spacious and the hotel was literally across the street from the Colosseum. -You received an approx. Discount of 10% off your meals at the restaurant if you were a hotel guest. I say approx. Because our bill was originally 53.00 Euro and they charged us 47.00 Euro... So like 11.3% discount?? I'm not sure how they worked that. - The artwork on the walls was of Adam and Eve... very interesting pieces but parents should be aware that the paintings were minus the fig leaf coverings (oh the things you notice at midnight when sleep you so desperately want evades you due to the noise from down the stairs.) - The price was very good for the location... just bring earplugs and be a sound sleeper...
- The room (room 101) was above a Piano Karaoke Bar that was open until 2am and you could hear everything, loudly and clearly! Yes... We could hear every bad rendition of various disco songs sung off key and in Italian after a ten day venture throughout Italy...it was night we will not soon forget. - The terrace attached to our room would have been nice but it was also the Dinner Terrace, so we could not actually go on the terrace as it was blocked by the Dinner Terrace enclosures, and we could not leave our window open to cool or lighten the room because anyone could just come into our room from the terrace. Not to mention the conversations one overhears while in their hotel room and there are dinner guests literally eating outside your window. - The room appeared clean at first glance, but the grout in the bathroom was black when it was supposed to be grey, the bed sheets had a candy stain on them, and all the bathroom fixtures had watermarks all over them. - This is not a full service hotel, so WE had to call a taxi to pick us up for our early flight back to the States (there is a taxi stand about 20 meters from the hotel, so if you need a taxi, one is not hard to hail...but we needed one at 5:30am and there would have been no taxi cabs there that early). I was able to get the number from one of the waiters at the restaurant/bar but when I asked the taxi service to speak with someone who spoke English, they hung up on me...twice. So I had to go down to the bar again and ask the cash register lady in the bar to call the taxi company for us (she was helpful!!). A car was there at 5:30am but it was not one that had a Roma Capitale sticker on it (nor any other taxi service stickers for that matter...which was kind of sketchy) and the driver told us that the taxi fare to the airport was 50 Euro when it was supposed to be 48 Euro... but we did not argue this as I would have tipped him 2 Euro regardless....but we did get to the airport on time and for the 50 Euros.
I was thrilled to have the view out of our room window be the Coliseum right there! The room was so quaint and cozy, more like a bedroom in a bed & breakfast. Not sterile and cold like some hotels. The breakfast was sensational and they staff were very accommodating.
Great location, spacious ro and very helpful staff.
The towels are a bit worn out and there is no electric kettle to boil water.
location, location, location. It was next door to the colosseum
The location is amazing! The shutters really help lessen noise from the busy streets outside. The staff were extremely accommodating. Lots of reasonably priced places to eat around.
We only stayed 3 nights :)
Absolutely stunning room, any closer to the Collessium we would have been sleeping in it. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the staff were amazing. I would use this hotel again.
Can be noisy at night from the bar downstairs.
Excellent location, friendly staff, big room.
Our room was directly opposite the restaurant and a little noisy. No problem with earplugs though.
astonishing view from the room, looks straight at the Colloseum big bathroom big room
impossible to sleep at night, too much noise from the hotel's piano-bar no help with luggage poor breakfast first floor out of wi-fi range
staff clean, friendly very close to everything
breakfast with only one little cup of coffee. 2nd Coffee 2-3€.
Convenient location in the heart of the city. Friendly and professional staff.
View from the room; Friendly and efficient staff; Cleanliness; LOCATION!!
Noise at 3am from cafe next door - not a part of the Royal House - however would still come back due to the perfect location with ear plugs :) Excellent place!
