Location is excellent, a quiet area close to a ferry and cable car and only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Stresa. Railway is close by but not audible from our room. We had dinner on arrival in the evening but avoided eating there for the rest of our stay. Beds are too hard. Their main market seems to be short stay coach tours. |

Clean and nice room. We switched to a room with a partial lake view. We thought that the charge of an extra 30 euros per night for the other room was a bit much! |

Inaccurate description. Room overlooking garden was in fact a room overlooking the car park. Breakfast was poor. Plenty of it but quality not what you would expect, tinned fruit and awful coffee ( this is italy home of peaches and capuccino). We did not pay normal rate and anybody who did was ripped off. Location however ideal. |

Very beautiful setting, close to the lake and a couple of hundred meters from the peer for going to Isole Boromee. Nice green garden, a relaxing setting for having breakfast. Very helpful and polite hotel staff. Although the hotel (it is actually a larger villa) looks good on the outside and the garden and terrace are both charming, our room was quite shabby and furnished with only the bare necessities. Furniture looked old and a bit mismatched and the few decorations (e.g. paintings) looked quite cheap. TV only had 4-5 channels, all Italian. Quite pricey for the room comfort offered. |

Excellent value, good location close to mountain cable car and water taxi's to the Lake Maggiore Islands. Only 20 minutes, gentle stroll into Stresa for shopping and a variety of restaurants. Desk staff spoke excellent English and were most helpful. Our spacious room overlooked the gardens and outdoor pool. The air conditioning was especially valued at night, as we had such good hot weather. Also we appreciated the safe, free parking within the grounds and free WiFi access (using our own laptop computer) which was available in the main lounge. A shower curtain would have minimised water reaching the floor. The noise from neighbouring dogs occasionally spoilt otherwise quiet and restful accommodation. |

The staff at the reception went out of their way to be extremely helpful and friendly. I loved the atmosphere, the location and the personal touch given by the owners made one feel like a house guest. I am planning to return as soon as I can. No, everything was just right. |

we had a lovely room looking over the lake with a balcony overlooking the pool. nice peaceful location. easy 15 minute walk to shops and restaurants. there was no bar fridge in the room even though there was a space where it had been previously. |

The location is peaceful but not too far from Stresa, and there is an attractive garden with a pool. The roof terrace has a fantastic view of the lake and islands. Our room balcony also had amazing views. |

Though we spoke no Italian, one of the desk staff spoke perfect English and was very helful. Great breakfasts. Large airy room, with large windows, balcony and with modern clean well-maintained en-suite. Great pool and east of Stresa, 200m to the Cable Car to the mountains and the boat jetty to the Lake Maggiore islands. Must be only just short of the next star category. Hard bed. Breakfast coffee tasted awful - burnt. Is it the machine they use? |

Staff were very helpful in making dinner reservations as well as planning day trips. Building was nice and comfortable throughout. Although other guest reviews thought the breakfast could have been better, it was perfect for our needs but it is true that there was nothing hot available. The location was peaceful and we enjoyed being a few minutes lakeside walk away from the more main promenade strip. Great location for catching boats and cable car (both 1 minute away) |

The locacion is very good. Nearby the city center, one minute from the lake. The hotel is well decorated and well managged. The atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant and the stuff is very kind. Best value for money. |

The hotel was lovely. Spacious, clean room with a large balcony. Staff were very friendly. The location is good - very close to the Carciano port (where you can get boats to the Borromean Isles) and the cable car to Mount Mottarone. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Stresa, but the route is very pleasant: through gardens and along the lake shore. |

Pleasant room (at a price) and very good views of the Lake. Wonderful location near the island ferry & a short drive into Stresa. We must return to Maggiore. Very helpful staff. Quite expensive (possibly attributed to the Sterling / Euro exchange rate) and the neighbour's noisy dog sometimes spoiled the peace and quiet of a beautiful setting. |
