In effect, the breakfast and lunch at Mercure was were both rich in terms of quality and variety. The staff at the counter were amiable. Rooms: quite small in capacity, bed is tiny, some of the lights are not functioning, no hot water was available in my room and no prompt compensation/alternative was offered (the 2 bottles of water that I consumed from the mini bar were regarded as a redemption/complimentary against the lack of hot water). Moreover, the satellite wasn't functioning at all and though I asked the receptionist to have it fixed, no action was taken (when I arrived late at night, I had to unplug the wire, finetune it a bit, and then place it back in its original position and it worked. Opposite to my room (501) there was some renovation taking place with painting odour and to make matter worse, the guy was playing the radio at a considerably high volume while the door was kept open. My friend also complaint about the room size, lack of porters service, and low level of room cleanlines (dusty: spending the night sneezing). Service: quite slow and the restaurant and lounge area: it took the waiter around 15 minutes to come and place the order though we informed the receptionist and my platter came after around 35 minutes though it was a mere Ham&Chees platter. In sum, our expectations were a bit high since the hotel is being ranked 4 stars but unfortunately I would be generous to give it 2 stars as compared to other 4-star hotels throughout the region. Thank you

There was nothing that I liked about the hotel. I will never stay there again. First of all, the hotel has only 1st floor renovated to a modern standard. Rooms located on other floors are outdated (especially bathrooms remind of communist times in the Eastern Europe), and definitely far from what the hotel displays on theirs and other hotel booking websites. Besides the 1st floor is all smoking floor, thus the hotel does not have in their offer any renovated non-smoking rooms. The hotel management when questioned why I was not given a standard double room like the one that they had on their website responded that the room which I was initially assigned to was a reality. Complete joke and luck of professionalism. Please be aware that the free internet connection is as fast as internet connection 10 years ago. Completely do not recommend the hotel for business stay.

1St floor and the care of the staff after our complaint. First of all it is not 4star hotel, it was build in 70ties and in 2004 or 2005 took over by Mercure. I am suprised that Mercure signed under that hotel. Floors from 2 to top are total mess, bathrooms are dirty. The only floor I can recommend is 1st floor but You need to push the staff to place You there. Internet is for free but it is difficult to get the connection, all the time there are some breaks/internet pages cannot be loaded so You need to be patient. To wrap-up it is worth to stay there for that price but only on 1st floor (executive floor). Regards

I payed 75 euros for a room which was ok but bathroom abit depressing , also had to pay an extra 10 euros to put my motorbike in the half empty carpark , a fair price in this hotel would be 65 euros and free parking ! The staff were helpful , no breakfast included !

The (only) electrical socket was loose on the wall; the mini-fridge (I could have done without) was noisy; maintenance people used the bath towel to clean after themselves and left it in the room, dirty.

Some of the staff (Silvia and another girl) was very kind and helpful and helped solving the problems out group had at the hotel. The car park with surveillance is also a good plus (even though it's 14 € per day). Our group had a variety of problems: one was given a room already busy; we had another customer entering our room as he was given that one; the WiFi was so slow it was nearly useless; some rooms had smell of smoke (and were given to non-smokers); one day the maid did not come to clean room until 19.30 (when it was pointless).

The dinner is nice. Good confort, nice place if you need to go close to the hotel. The room is too much small, even for single. The parking costs 17 euros at the garage. If you park on hotel parking above it costs 14 euros. Of course, I discovered just at the time of paying as nobody explains to me and informed the lowest price when I asked. They last too much to repose food at the breakfast, so you have to eat what has left. For me it is a 3 stars, no more.

Albergo consigliatissimo!!! Parcheggio all'aperto 14 euro al giorno.

“The location of Town House 70 for a visit to Torino simply cannot be beat. Everything is just steps out the door. The staff was wonderfully helpful, the internet worked, the room was marvelously quiet and comfortable (we asked for a room facing the courtyard). I would stay there again and recommend it to everybody.” Kathleen, New York City |
