we loved the location, easily accessable to restaurants, shops, the tower, buses and the river. The staff were extremel helpful.
Location, staff, value for money, afternoon happy hour
Friendly and very helpful staff. Every floor was full of surprises - lovely public areas in Art Deco style. The roof terrace was great. Fantastic location in terms of view across the river and central location. The building was a bit tired in places, but clean and comfortable, and full of character.
Noisy at night, because of it's central location. Take ear plugs! Some rooms seemed better than others, but we were very happy with ours.
The central location of the hotel- easy walking distance to everywhere and plenty of great places to eat nearby.Rooms, towels and bed linen were spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely roof terrace. View over the Arno from spacious rooms filled with period furniture and fitted with mosquito blinds.
Could be very noisy at night from people congregating at the nearby bridge- obviously not the hotel's fault!
it was close to the duomo and the tower
area by the river was faded, shabby, squalid. lots of litter around. lifeless and soulless hotel. rooms rather like an old nurses home from the 50's, basic to say the least. pillows on bed dreadful. bathrooms unpleasant. it was clearly clean but wow, so very disappointing.
the situation and the history of the hoteltogether with the helpfulness and quality of staff and thewonderful old furnishings
Lovely, clean place to stay, right in between train station and the leaning tower. Lovely view of the river
There was no shower head holder so would have to hold it yourself while showering. It was a bit noisy at night because it's next to the main street (and it was a friday night)
Friendly and helpful staff Value for money
It is kind of old but I dont really mind
Location, it's just in the center of Pisa
Furniture is super-super old! Even my grandma would find it old Thus it's super expensive taking into account Price/Quality Breakfast is poor to average
Great central location without being noisy. Gorgeous old building with big comfortable rooms in traditional style. Staff helpful and friendly.
Friendliness of staff and nice atmosphere in hotel. I sometimes felt I was going back in time - in a nice way. Location was great.
Bed could have been more comfortable.
I have stayed here before so I new we could walk from the train station to the hotel within 10 mins. Just leave the station by the main exit and go straight ahead until you reach the river. Then over the river and turn left. The hotel is on your right. If you want to feel the real Italy then stay here. This is the most authentic Italian place I have stayed. If you want modern then don't bother. Beautiful hight ceilings and authentic furniture and a very welcoming feel. Clean and friendly and you must take coffee on the terrace (floor4) I would go back again and again emma
That I had to leave One room the air conditioning didn't work. Although if we had of mentioned it it would have been fixed or we would have been moved.
Location and one of the best options for breakfast we had all holiday. The hotel also has a lot of history.
Make sure you double check your booking as we ended up in a room with a shared bathroom. Though the hotel were able to upgrade us straight away the quality of facilities is average for the money you pay.
The location and view from the rooms over the river, was great. Great restaurants close by, and the leaning tower an easy walk
The city was not what we expected, so probably 2 nights sufficient instead of 3.
Character. Friendly staff. Excellent location and breakfast.
The period furniture gives this hotel a unique atmosphere
Slow internet connection
Very good location, 10 min walk to Pisa tower and main train station.
The room was little too small for 3 people, no wifi access at room.
Stepping back in time staff friendly and courteous, hotel extraordinary building with amazing view and location.
Not full of mod cons and a bit ricketry but suits my family fine.
It is very close to St Pancras station. If u plan to catch Eurostar when u leave the hotel, it's a good choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. But it was quite expensive for us.
There is no lift. With our numerous suitcases, it was quite tough, though the male staff helped to take our luggage to the rooms-on the 2nd floor.
Loved the ambience and staff extremely friendly Nd helpful
No toilet in room which I was not aware of, my room was noisy due to Saturday night festivities close by. I am young so wasn't too bothered but I would not recommend to older people or someone with children. Also I woke up with lots of bites!!! Not sure if this was hotel or not but the cleaners cleaned my room before I checked out and they didn't change sheets for next person!!!!! Not good!!!
Location very good for both sides of river. About ten minute walk to leaning tower. Breakfast buffet good with plenty of choice. Close to bars restaurants.
We were on third floor at the front over looking the river. Can be very noisy at night as people sit on wall. Goes quiet about 2.30 - 3.00 am. If you can stand noise from air con it blocks everything else out. Hotel very dated.
excellent views gorgs location central for everything good base for visiting other places
hotel was gorgs... rooms very tired bathrooms leave a lot to be desired update on showers would be an improvement
Beautiful views across theArno. Ample pleasant breakfast in a room with mementos of the hotel's illustrious 19/20 century history. Spacious areas on each floor and adjacent reception that do likewise. Courteous attentive management and lovely touches like the aperitif hour and roof terrace.A style and ambience that is a unique reflection of Pisa s visitor history while having all the real necessities for the 21st century visitor.
Hardly anything ..tho erratic WiFi while we were there.
Ancient and very unique, extremely friendly personnel. Very close to the city centre, directly at the river.
We had accidentally booked a room without bathroom. Nevertheless, the public rooms are clean. However, I recommend to go for a room with separate bathroom.
