Service, room, place where situated,
Something that made the bed linen itchy. Dont know whatever it was....
Beautiful decor, pretty terrace, wonderful atmosphere, great staff. It's just my kind of place.
It can be noisy at night because the sound echos from the nearby streets. It doesn't trouble me but if you are a light sleeper you might not be happy here.
Pleasant, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Easy reach of station and main tourist area.
Bathrooms need modernising but the retro fittings have some charm.
The 4th floor terrace. The old fashioned glory of the building. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff.
Beds are too hard
Great value, overlooking the river and about 10 minutes walk from the rail station. A sense of faded grandeur but a comfortable and spacious room, albeit with antique plumbing and wonky door handles (as also pointed out by Lonely Planet). The staff were extremely helpful. We also enjoyed an evening aperitif in the roof garden. A short walk into the old university area with a good choice of reasonable restaurants.
Amazing location right on the river and a very short walk to the leaning tower. rooms were old but keep in very nice condition, it gave it a nice olden style feeling. Staff very helpfull and happy to help with everything. the hotel itself is amazing, great to just explore and walk around the manny winges and levels. there's always food and drinks to be had and breakfast is very good with a massive selection, just ask the waiters what drink you will like and they will get anything for you. Great places to base yourself to explore the town. WIFI is free!!
WIFI on ground level did not work for us as you have to put in a phone number to receive the password by SMS, our overseas sim cards did not receive the sms. but WIFI is still available on 3rd and 4th floor by asking reception, and it is free.
old stone walls revealed in places location helpful staff breakfast
The location and the architecture. For the price it was acceptable. Near the best gelato in town! Breakfast was good.
The communal facilities felt more like a boarding school! Could easily have put an en suite in the large bedroom. Place generally a bit tired looking but location and price made up for it. Would not have wanted to spend more than a couple of days here.
we loved the location, easily accessable to restaurants, shops, the tower, buses and the river. The staff were extremel helpful.
Location, staff, value for money, afternoon happy hour
Friendly and very helpful staff. Every floor was full of surprises - lovely public areas in Art Deco style. The roof terrace was great. Fantastic location in terms of view across the river and central location. The building was a bit tired in places, but clean and comfortable, and full of character.
Noisy at night, because of it's central location. Take ear plugs! Some rooms seemed better than others, but we were very happy with ours.
The central location of the hotel- easy walking distance to everywhere and plenty of great places to eat nearby.Rooms, towels and bed linen were spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely roof terrace. View over the Arno from spacious rooms filled with period furniture and fitted with mosquito blinds.
Could be very noisy at night from people congregating at the nearby bridge- obviously not the hotel's fault!
The view Breakfast was yummy and fresh Value for money Good location
Electrical out of the Stone Age sadly no hairdryer, iron and took quiet a while to charge phone and iPad and the lock on the door was old world!
it was close to the duomo and the tower
area by the river was faded, shabby, squalid. lots of litter around. lifeless and soulless hotel. rooms rather like an old nurses home from the 50's, basic to say the least. pillows on bed dreadful. bathrooms unpleasant. it was clearly clean but wow, so very disappointing.
the situation-sincerity of staff -insight into quality of life in Pisa in times gone by. We loved the old furnishings and photographs
some late night noise outside and difficult to open bedroom shutters but the history of the place more than made up for this
the situation and the history of the hoteltogether with the helpfulness and quality of staff and thewonderful old furnishings
Lovely, clean place to stay, right in between train station and the leaning tower. Lovely view of the river
There was no shower head holder so would have to hold it yourself while showering. It was a bit noisy at night because it's next to the main street (and it was a friday night)
Friendly and helpful staff Value for money
It is kind of old but I dont really mind
Location, it's just in the center of Pisa
Furniture is super-super old! Even my grandma would find it old Thus it's super expensive taking into account Price/Quality Breakfast is poor to average
Great central location without being noisy. Gorgeous old building with big comfortable rooms in traditional style. Staff helpful and friendly.
Friendliness of staff and nice atmosphere in hotel. I sometimes felt I was going back in time - in a nice way. Location was great.
Bed could have been more comfortable.
I have stayed here before so I new we could walk from the train station to the hotel within 10 mins. Just leave the station by the main exit and go straight ahead until you reach the river. Then over the river and turn left. The hotel is on your right. If you want to feel the real Italy then stay here. This is the most authentic Italian place I have stayed. If you want modern then don't bother. Beautiful hight ceilings and authentic furniture and a very welcoming feel. Clean and friendly and you must take coffee on the terrace (floor4) I would go back again and again emma
That I had to leave One room the air conditioning didn't work. Although if we had of mentioned it it would have been fixed or we would have been moved.
Location and one of the best options for breakfast we had all holiday. The hotel also has a lot of history.
Make sure you double check your booking as we ended up in a room with a shared bathroom. Though the hotel were able to upgrade us straight away the quality of facilities is average for the money you pay.
The location and view from the rooms over the river, was great. Great restaurants close by, and the leaning tower an easy walk
The city was not what we expected, so probably 2 nights sufficient instead of 3.
