Hotel Royal  

The hotel was very nice and well appointed

We had to pay 50 Euro to park our cark in the hotel's car park.

It's a very decent old building in town. Room and service are good, and there is also nice garden next to the breakfast area. Oh the couches And chairs in the bar is really comfortable for net surfing there!

Location is a bit far from town center or railway station

Could use non-slip bath mats in the rather high tub showers as well as some bars to hold on to. Also, the hand-held shower head did not fit securely in its holder and tended to twist, sending water where it was not supposed to go.

All the additional costs (pool+parking). Management decided to close the pool for the season during our stay in mid September, when the temperature was around 28C, because it might rain the day after.

The hotel had onsite parking and the pool.

No restaurant or food services. Pool only open from 1400 - 1900 and cost and extra €8 per person per day

The service is great! The family running the hotel is very kind and helpful. For the Dutch speaking people, this hotel is an ideal choice as one of the owners is from Holland. They are fluent is different languages which makes communication very easy comparing other hotel owner's that they only speak italian. The facilities are very confortable, clean and beautiful. You will be surprised when you see the hotel in the flesh. It looks like this beautiful vintage big italian villa, you will feel royal! and the fees are definitely value for money

We loved the pool as it was so hot, the rooms were nice and cool when we returned each day from our sightseeing. We met some great people staying there. Francesco suggested a great restaurant in town for our dinner.

The hotel is located in the historical building of the 17th century: nice furniture in the reception area, paintings on the walls, etc. Big private parking. The territory is very big for a 3-star hotel in Florence including the pool. Friendly personnel. The hotel is ok, but do not expect something great.....

Very dark rooms (not enough light). A little bit far from the city center by walk. Condition was not working at our room at all. The working hours of the pool are not convenient: from 2pm till 5 pm (and be prepared to pay 8 euro per person); not enough of sun loungers by the pool.

Did exactly as it said on the tin! The building itself is stunning although have to admit it does need a spruce up but it was clean and the room was large.

The breakfast was the only thing :-(

Bad breakfast. Pool just open 14-19 and had to be paid additionally. Staff not so friendly. Not what we expected and not worth the money anyway!

After reading reviews of the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a wonderful building, and unique rooms. Breakfast was included, and were ok, but the coffee came from an automat. The location was excellent with walking distance to the sights in this beautiful city.

Excellent hotel with very attentive and helpful staff ....... Than you Fracesco! The hotel is wonderful building with a lovely garden and pool area. Parking and security is a highlight in Firenze

Es war nicht vermerkt, dass der Parkplatz 25 Euro zusätzlich kostet! So scheint mir die Übernachtung nicht mehr günstig! Der Parkplatz kostet doch die Hälfte einer Übernachtung!

Pur essendo in zona centrale si ha l'impressione di essere fuori città. Ambiante accogliente e personale molto disponibile. Le camere sono confortevoli e si respira un'aria di pulizia.

Camera fredda, non si riusciva a scaldare l'acqua de quanto era fredda la stanza,brutto ricordo.

Colazione un po' scarsa con poca scelta

Se trata de un edificio muy pintoresco. El desayuno está bien, completo, el café excelente. Habitación amplia, con minibar. Si bien la ubicación no es céntrica, está a 15 min. Del centro histórico, y de la estación de trenes.

Wifi sólo disponible en hall central. Habitaciones con olor “ a viejo”

Ubicacion centrica, en un edificio antiguo, bien conservado relativamente cerca de estación del tren. La habitación es limpia y confortable con una vista estupenda a un agradable jardín. El baño limpio y amplio. La atención del personal fue esmerada y eficiente. El desayuno poco variado pero suficiente. La relación calidad - precio me parece muy buena. Lo recomendaré y me volvería a alojar ahí.
