The Hotel is situated in quiet neighborhood. The stuff is friendly. You can park your car in a garage (11 - 13 €/day) or around of a hotel for 0,75€/h - you can by tickets in the hotel. Center of the city is just several minutes away by walking. Poor breakfast.Hotel needs refurbishment as it is little outdated.

The welcome was excellent and we were very pleased with the room and the breakfast. The decoration and furnishing and fittings are starting to show their age

we stayed overnight for our ferry the next day. We were given a room with an enormous balcony looking out to the city of Messina. We were impressed by the service during breakfast too. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Definately would recommend this to anyone. Also, my partner went to the bank early and dropped his credit card in the gutter and was very stressed... when the hotel staff found out... they accessed the gutter for us and retrieved the card. We were grateful for their assistance. no faults. only that our Peugot 5008 was too big for the carpark in the hotel. However we were grateful that the hotel reception suggested we park the car in the street beside the hotel and because it was sunday the next day... the assisted us with the parking ticket that only cost 1 euro as sunday was free.

Good standard. Expensive as for standard. Exstremally expensive Internet in room. Only in reception you can communicate in English. Problem with ordering meals in restaurant (We have ordered one small dish but they counted us as for whole dinner). The bar close very early (before midnight) so no place for meeting or discussion - strange in the hotel of such standard.

We booked this hotel mostly because of its location since we were passing through Messina and hence wanted a hotel on our way to Catania, etc. We knew the hotel was located in the very centre of the city however we chose it because free private parking was advertised on the site and we knew that secure parking is a problem in the middle of Messina. Furthermore, pets were advertised as accepted since we were travelling with our pet dog. However, upon our arrival, we were told that parking was a garage nearby at a cost of € 11.00 per day. However, they indicated that our car, an SUV, would not pass through the ceiling of the garage since this was very low. So, we had no choice but to park outside on the street - our main worry. When they saw our dog they told us they only accept small size pets. When I explained that this was not specifically stated on the site, they agreed to allow us in. However, at check-out they informed us that we would have to pay an additional charge of € 22.00 for the pet - we had not been informed of this. Furthermore, wardrobe was broken and facilities did not reflect a 4 star hotel and the price paid.

The hotel is about 100 m from Messina Centrale railway station, but still not noisy - it is a good place to stay if one has to catch an early train. I found the decoration rather unattractive, in several shades of brown ... but there could be worse.

Great hotel, clean, no disturbances from neighbours, great location close to city center. The staff varied. The night of arrival a terrible staffmember, couldn't speak a word of english, very unfriendly (she came in after we inetrrupted her from her smoking break), did not offer any extra information, where to park, where is breakfast and waht time, charged double for the room! The day after a very kind woman, spoke a little english, helped us out with planning a route, looking up ferry schedules, showing us where the restaurants were to eat. If you're lucky and get the kind staff member, definitely a great hotel. Oh yeah, the breakfast is great too. Available parking (at 10 euros/day), and you have to, because they give out parking tockets like crazy. In the vicinity of the hotel are not many restaurants to go eat, but with good route planning (from the friendly staffmember) great/cheap places to eat!!

We received excellent service in this hotel. It is conveniently located close to the station, but opposite a lovely park, with a view to the mountains and the city. It is an excellent place to start a holiday in Sicily, with large comfortable rooms and friendly polite staff. Wifi is not free, but it is not expensive and offers high quality data transfer, fom an external provider.

It was conveniently located for walking in Messina. The staff had very minimal English language skills and acted like we were not important since we didn't speak fluent Italian.

The staff was very courteous and my room had a spacious living room prior to the bedroom. We also had a wonderful terrace at our disposal which was as large as both of our rooms put together and was equipped with a wooden table and four chairs, thus enabling me to study outside while enjoying the sun. The only downside of our room was that it was furnished in a clearly outdated manner. The tv wasn't flat screen but one of those old, heavy ones and the shower box seemed like something out of the 80's...made entirely of plastic and palpably worn out. Apart from the fact that everything seemed quite old, our stay was very pleasant and they make up for their lack of remodeling by providing a fully stacked mini fridge and a costly, but available, wi-fi service in every room.

The staff is wonderfully nice, polite and helpful. Breakfast, for Italian standards, is abundant and varied. Rooms are large and comfortable; location is great. If I ever return to Messina, I wouldn't bother looking for another place. You have to pay for the use of internet, and not only is it too expensive (6 euros an hour or 10,80 for 24 consecutive hours) but there are a lot of limitations (upload, download).
