Flexible regarding short term arrival. We booked on Friday and could arrive on Sunday.
Unfriedly and very unpatient at the telephone. Instructions to get there where not clear. We had to take a Taxi to find the place.
Very convenient location, easy walking to lots of sights, good places to eat nearby. We did not cook except to make tea.
Acess to an outside place to sit would have been nice or even a comfortable chair to sit in indoors.Very thin door to bathroom Lack of outside space and comfortable chairs to relax in.The bathroom door was rather thin and therefore not soundproof.Streets could be noisy at night but good ear plugs solved the problem
Atmosphere of a historic house Vincinity of Trastevere restaurants and nightlife Can walk to most of the key sightseeing attractions within 20 - 30 minutes
High level of noise from Vicolo del Cinque, as only window directly overlooking a very lively bar and restaurant. If the window was facing the interior patio, the falt would be perfect. Very noisy stairs, you have to go down by to access the bathroom.
Good location in Roma, Trastevere is very nice place where to stay. Apartment is good, quiet. I would recommend.
A bit more attention in the cleaning and in small details like a small soap and shampoo at least for the first night, to repair the bar where to hang the shower spray, a clothe to wipe dry the glasses, plates,. . . .
We really enjoyed this apartment, great location just by tram stop, short hop from Trastevere station, so good connection from fumicino airport. Great terrace with lovely view on the (top) 4th floor, no lift, so need to be fit! Very spacious flat and very comfortable for a couple, will book again when in Rome, ate in some great restaurants within 5 mins walk...great find!! Book and enjoy.
No shade around table to enjoy lunch on terrace, even hot in October. Kitchen water pressure was poor, fine for us, but not if doing some serious cooking! Which we weren't with all the local restaurants!
I liked the fact that the apartment was located within walking distance of everything we needed, i.e shops, restaurants etch.
Damp, especially in the bedroom which caused me to have allergic reactions and sneeze a lot
Beautifully decorated, comfortable, staff were very helpful.
It is difficult to find public transport to the major sights (we couldnt work it out and walked everywhere) around the city but trastevere was a lovely district. Some extra chairs and table would be nice outside for outside dining.
The apartment was comfortable, beautiful, clean, spacious and situated in a great area. Close to everything but away from the hussle & bussle. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone.
Very poor mobile reception. I had no reception in the apartment, had to go outside. That's the only downfall. No big deal as it has a courtyard
- the images do not correspond to the apartment - dirty dishes - the living room window does not close completely
Apartment was great. Spacious, great roof terrace, excellent location, well decorated, airy, clean, well provisioned. Air con and sky tv
Shower dirty on arrival.
Location in a charming, vibrant neighbourhood near the river. Easy to get around to the old city and central. The agent was friendly and responsive to our request for repairs.
Basement, very small, poor air circulation. Cramped when the foldaway bed is lowered for use (nearly always for our teenager!) The air conditioner broke down on the first day and, credit to them they got a repairman to assess it, but we suffered through 6 nights in a humid mouldy space with real discomfort and poor sleep as a result. There was a strong mouldy smell always present, which caused us all some respiratory distress. The shower stall was mouldy and had not been cleaned thoroughly, which contributed to the smell. Even with functioning a/c units, I can't recommend this apartment.
it was very convenient, very quiet and good value for money. A small problem we had with the water supply was dealt with, quickly and efficiently.
nothing really negative.. I'm not really sure how clean the towels were!!
Location Fairly comfortable surroundings Nice layout Washing machine
No one to meet us to let us in; waited in the rain for an hour and then were led on foot to another apartment Very difficult to find supplies such as paper towels, detergent, basic food supplies such as milk and coffee
Photos on website very deceiving as they show other apartments, not just this one.The apartment was not one of those that we had seen photographed on the webpage! No patio available (as pictured on the webpage as well as the booking confirmation). wifi available was the free city wifi with down load limit. Broken furniture in the kitchen . no dishwashing detergent, two pieces of toilet paper for 5 people- 7 days. The bathroom had a window to the Kitchen and no curtain for privacy. No hair drier. Pillows with a very bad smell. Overall I would say that you have the feeling that they dont really care for the services provided .
Location is amazing! I used to live and Rome and I can't imagine a better place to stay when I'm returning. Right in the heart of trastevere so ideal for young people or those who really want to experience true roman nightlife.
No washing facilities for clothes which I was hoping to get being an apartment rather than a hotel.
The really good feature of this place was location.
We were a couple travelling with a one year old toddler and a three year old child. This was the data we filled in at booking.com. We chose this place mostly because of location (Trastevere). Although the overall experience was not disastrous, there were too many problems: - we had to pay an extra fee for a baby cot since there was only an extra sofa available (totally inappropriate for a toddler) which was not understandable since we specified travelling with a 1 year old; - there was no microwave; - the washing machine for dishes was out of order; - we asked for help to set the tv on and no one came.
Fantastic location in the heart of Trastevere. The apartment has a roof terrace with views across the rooftops to St Peter's. There were a couple of concerts in the piazza below whilst we were there and it was great sitting on the terrace, listening to the music as the sun set. I think as other people have said, it is not a luxury experience - but the apartment has what you need, and is good value for money in comparison with local hotels (plus the independence and privacy of your own space). It was great to have air conditioning.
not much to dislike - we even came to enjoy climbing the 61 steps...
Location in the heart of Trastevere was brilliant, lots of bars and restaurants on our doorstep. We walked to all the sights - Vatican City, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon etc
Apartment was virtually in the basement, you went down steps to it and it only had two very small, barred windows so felt very claustrophobic. Also huge safety risk, no smoke alarm, bars on windows and no alternative fire escape - very worrying. Bathroom was filthy behind toilet and shower wall. Photos on website very deceiving as they show other apartments, not just this one. 'Kitchen' very limited, only fridge and two rings, no kettle or grill or toaster.
Place was great - location, appartment, terrace! Good agency, nice, patient people - saved us, as we've been deceived by Signora Graziana Barcaroli from Grace House (Lungotevere Tevere Prati n. 21 rented on bestrentrome.com) and left literally on the street on friday evening (when Rome was full of pilgrims)...
location.. pablo the owner who stays next door was helpfull even helped with wifi. the lady who came to gv us the keys was arrogant and was in rush to leave .
bed were very uncomfortable .poor lighting
Location in Trastervere and top level of apartment including outdoor terrace
Lack of Wifi
Stairs were very steep and really noisy
nice location, clean
problem with hot water, long wait for check-in
Dangerous booking with rome sweet home - Please be aware of the following: 1 - The key holder was aware that we were traveling with 3 young children. Nevertheless she arrived 1h and 20 minutes, later; 2 - She said no excuses; 3 - Had not the right keys on her; 4 - Made us wait extra 35 minutes on the stairs, with children and luggage; 5 - Once at the apartment she asked to pay in cash confirming the information previously sent by e-mail by ROME SWEET HOME. Fortunately we payed on the credit card. (for avoiding misconduct regarding tax paying) 6 - The apartment had no WiFi as announced on the apartment amenities at Booking com. 7 - During the 4 days stay we contacted her at different times for having the WiFi. She promised that she was taking care of it. Or that we would be refunded for the lack of this service; 8 - As expected she did not accomplished with her word; 9 - ROME SWEET HOME made it self paid for the full amount before we left the apartment, not respecting the alluded refund; 10 - Once back to Portugal from the trip to Rome, called again, and got information contradicting what is announced at booking com. They refuse to acknowledge that indeed it is announced on the apartment amenities the WiFi access. 11 - Only after all the previous tries in making ROME SWEET HOME aware of what I previously stated, and, sending them the print forms of booking com regarding the apartment amenities, I fell it is right in letting you all know of our experience. DANGEROUS BOOKING with ROME SWEET HOME
