Staff went out of their way to be helpful. We had been unable to get to our reservation the night before and stayed in an expensive place. S Giorgio gave an extra effort to check in early. The included breakfast was good and staff was always helpful, courteous and efficient.
It was by far the best accommodation which we had booked. The rooms were large, comfortable with all necessities available including WIFI in the lounge.
We have been to this hotel 6 times and every time the staff are welcoming and efficient. Location is excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone.
I had a room with a big balcony on the 4th floor, which was excellent; I had a view over the roofs and churches of the inner city, friendlly staff, good breakfast, central location
I got splendid value for money from this hotel. The location -near to both city centre and railway station, but just slightly tucked away from excessive noise and bustle-was excellent, the staff competent and considerate, breakfast good and facilities more than adequate. My balcony gave me a glimpse of both Duomo and San Lorenzo, and the opportunity to sit and quietly read. Highly recommended.
Returning to England after my stay....
Location is good
Very old , cleanliness is bad
Great location, can walk to each sightseeing point, nice staff, include breakfast.
small room---a little big different from the picture, old furniture.
Reception staff friendly. Very well located
Poor breakfast quality and variety.Staff serving not friendly. Internet interrupting most of the time. Need some modernization specially bath rooms
It was a very friendly and well located hotel. It was near the station and a short walk to see everything. The bus was also close by. Breakfast were good. It was clean and comfy. I would highly recommend this quaint hotel.
Our room was decent sized, clean and tidy but was showing signs of age. Staff were really helpful with booking/organising tours. Hotel was a great location for walking everywhere we wanted to go and close to fantastic sights and good restaurants. We came to Florence via train from Venice and left via train for Rome and the hotel was conveniently close to the station also.
The wifi is only usable by being in the sitting room.
The staff, especially Lukas, was very helpful in solving problems and recommending things to do.
The hotel is very well located for all of the Touristic sites, there is a coin op laundry across the street and the breakfast is great.
Location, convenience to transport, restaurants which were just off the main tourist areas and the very helpful and accommodating staff.
Rooms a bit small & dated décor but they clean, & were only used for sleeping as we were out touring.
The shower door was broken. There was a huge amount of hair on the bed that was not mine when I arrived. The yellow top sheet is obviously never washed. I even found what looked like pubic hair in the bed sheets. The wifi barely worked in the rooms. In our other room it didn't work.
Needs a makeover. Carpets threadbare. Plumbing very ordinary, maybe things beyond their control but generally everything looked tired and smelled of cigarette smoke
outdated furniture shower
very close to the city center, Duomo, open market
the rooms are in a very old condition, they need to be fixed and repaired, bathroom is very small, and the staff is very professional but not so friendly.
Location, clearness, hospitality, large room with view, professionalism. The hotel is excellent and convenience.
This hotel has a welcoming and friedly staff. Very convenient location, 10 minutes away from train station and bus station. Charming little hotel, we loved it.
Very close to main train station and walking distance to all the major Florence attractions. Very helpful staff, super comfy bed, neat bathroom, reliable wifi and good buffet breakfast.
Only minor issues. There was virtually no TV reception in my room, which was not a huge issue anyway as there are generally few English friendly options on Italian TV. Shower was frustratingly small. After getting the water pressure and temperature just right it was all too easy to bump the handle with your elbow. Arrrrghhh!
Location close to train station
The bathroom was very dated and the tub was surrounded by mood. The room was damp.
Awesome view, great location to trains and market,
Beds could of been a lot better, very lumpy and stiff
The location was good, walking distance to Santa Maria Novella train station and all major attractions.
The hotel was very basic and in need of major renovation. Bathroom did not flush. Old decor. Would not stay here again.
Very close to the rail station, laundry facility across the street, in room safe. Staff was very nice. My granddaughter left 2 bracelets in the room and one of the staff caught us two blocks away to return them. Bravo to that staff person!!!
Room needed much attention. Walls and floors were dirty. When I complained, no other room was offered to us. Perhaps they were "full"?
Location is perfect.
There is no privacy if you open your bedroom courtyard door so you have to close the shutters all the time, which means you don't really get to see the daylight while you are in your room.
