Close to the slopes lots of things to do nearby
Restaurant and micro-brewery next door. Superb food and Bavarian beer. Good English spoken.
We liked everything.
The hotel has had a make over the bathroom is beautiful but the room not so good, we had a meal in thier restaurant next door and it was excellent.
We would highly recommend this hotel and we'll definitely return here.
nicely refurbished, very nice area and restaurant next door
a bit noisy - close to motorway
Big familyroom dividid by a wall. On each side of the room a big enough bed. The restaurant next door is nice and the kids can play in the garden.
The location: proximity to the motorway, yet very picturesque landscape- the narrow strip between two mountain ranges with the historic battle backround of from the Napoleonic Wars. The building itself. Nicely renowated building, nice bathroom. Very nice and original beergarden with the variety of beers brewed on the spot as well as high quality restaurant in the adjacent building.
Expensive. I don't think the price equals the standard of service. The room itself is very basic indeed. Impossible to sleep with the open windows as the hotel is located between the highway and the local but quite busy road. Also, the service: there is nothing definite to complain about but the smile would make some difference. They didn't go beyond the "good evening", "thank you" wearing the straight face. We travel down to Italy every year and stay overnight in Tyrol on our way back: there are many nicer, cozier places around.
We love the brewery restaurant. The rooms and beds are very comfortable.
Spacious, comfortable room. Good restaurant next to the hotel. Good breakfast.
Near the highway.
Perfect location for an overnight stop. Large, clean rooms. Restaurant next door. Children's play area was great. Free parking. Breakfast was fantastic.
Had to go to restaurant to find someone to check us in to hotel (per the sign on the front door of reception). Check in took quite a bit longer than you would expect since I don't think it was the girls regular job. While dinner at the restaurant was good, staff there was not very friendly.
Light and airy, very nicely remodelled room with lots of charm. Excellent breakfast.
Bit of highway noise, if windows are opened. Inconvenient highway exits to hotel.
The rooms and the kindness. We enjoyed our breakfast. We certainly return.
The micro brewery/restaurant next door. Real ales, and excellent food.
A lovely large room, well insulated from sounds of the motorway. Wonderful food and beer in the associated brewery/restaurant. The drive up to Brenner from here not using the motorway was great.
The breakfast was good but quirky - not a buffet - each table gets a basket of bread, a bottle of fruit squash and a platter of cheese/meat.
What a delightful surprise! I needed to a spot for one overnight on our way from the Dolomites (after a day of skiing) enroute to Germany, something close to the highway and big enough for 4. Hotel Sachsenklemme was really charming, a big old building with high ceilings but modern decor. We ended up in a two bedroom apartment, which worked perfectly for our group. Beds were comfortable, with very clean fluffy white comforters and nice pillows. Rooms were absolutely quiet, even though quite close to the highway. The kids' play area in the back of the hotel was great to run off a little energy in the morning before we left, and we wished we could have stayed longer to have a look around lovely Fortezza. The breakfast was a delight -- we stepped into the dining room to find a table with our name, an overflowing basket of rolls and croissants, a bottle of fruit juice, and a platter of cheeses and meats, local yogurts, and coffee/tea brought out when we sat down. Compared to other family rooms we've stayed at across western Europe in this price range, I thought it was a wonderful deal, the perfect marriage of price, charm, and comfort. The night we arrived we stopped into the brewery-restaurant next door and had a few wonderful beers and picked up pizzas to take back to the room. All fantastic! And the other food on the menu looked great, wished we'd had time to dine in.
The modern renovated bathrooms are stylish and lovely design-wise, but no shower door on the glass shower stall caused water to spray everywhere. A little messy and disconcerting, but would certainly not stop me from going back.
good location close to shops and amenities, good choice of beer food not bad at all
Wi-Fi no signal at all , i use pc for work and for two days could not do much. TV set smaller than my pc screen and only german tv despite the advertised satellite tv. don't think i will come back for my next trip.
Very clean, spacious rooms. When you close the windows, there is no noise from the highway which is 30m away. Good restaurant 30 m away with excellent home made beer.
Not very friendly reception at the reception desk. The restaurant is out of the main building, only 30 m away, but, anyway, you have to get out of the hotel.
