Proximity to station which we needed to leave from the following day
Very noisy location bar right outside our room that was open late. Virtually no sleep could hear everything from bar emptying out to street cleaners to bin collection.
Location very close to the center of the town.
Very difficult to find the exact location of the hotel. Situated within an office complex, which makes feel uncomfortable. The staff was not too frienly.
Ernesto was extremely helpful, he met us outside the building to avoid confusion and even walked us to the train station when we left. He kept our suitcases after check out ,so we could travel unencumbered to almafi town. You can't beat the location, which is 3-5 minutes from train station and 5 minutes from ferry! The place was quiet and clean. Shower was great and wi-fi worked well. Breakfast pastry was delicious. Great affordable location as a way to visit the rest of the Amalfi Coast by ferry. Ernesto and location makes this place worth visiting. K LThe location is unbeatable! 3-5 minutes from train station and ferry.
We only needed a place to sleep, but if you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you. It is plain and small yet met our needs as a base for visiting the Amalfi coast. We booked a room with a balcony, but did not get a balcony, they gave a small discount because of this. The single bed in the room for three was not comfortable.
Consisted of ONE brioche and lukewarm coffee.
Bad breakfast: only 1 croissant and dry biscuits (without butter or jam)
Close to railway station Very friendly and helpful staff Quiet location
Breakfast (not a voucher for a cafe, but products from vending machine brought into the room)
Excellent location close to train station and everything you will want in Salerno. Very clean and comfortable and quiet despite being so close to central town. Didn't stay for breakfast,so can't comment on that. Owner helpfull with advice.
Like many other reviewers, finding the property was a little tricky, and then having to phone the owner and wait ,is something that should be addressed. If I was given instructions on finding property and contacting owner when I booked the room, it would have been a great assistance . Was offered minimal help by building attendant after a while, but if arriving late at night, could be a problem. These issues could be easily solved with better communication I feel.

Hard to find
Very clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was brought to our room every morning by the lovely house keeper
We had a little difficulty finding the entrance inside a large building. Clearer signage would have helped
Nice modern rooms Close to station and shopping and sightseeing. Friendly staff
It was close to station so we had a little bit of train noise but price to pay for being so close to station for early train out of salerno!
Location to ferry and train
I did not realize that I was booking a room in an office building. I was looking for a hotel with front desk staff and services. I found it very stressful to ask several shop keepers who were closing for the night where the address was. They were on the same street and didn't know it. Once I found the address; it was a locked, dark, office building with a very tiny sign indicating Salerno prestige. I had to pay money to make a call from my North American cell phone to call the number. The guy came after 10 minutes, then took me up one elevator, through a dark court yard then up another elevator, gave me 3 different keys and took off. I couldn't find anything on the street to eat. The proximity and actual room were great but very hard to find at 9 pm after travelling all day on the train was not what I would recommend for a vacation
It was very close to the central train station.
The bedspread was dirty. The man who shows u to the room doesn't explain anything just gives u 3 keys. Talked on his phone the entire time. The breakfast was HORRIBLE. A plastic Dixie cup of cappuccino & a day old bun. If anything happened at night, there is no one to help! I will never stay there again not would I recommend anyone else to stay there.
Fantastic location for everything from travel to restaurants and all places of interest. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was impeccably clean and had a nice balcony to enjoy a glass of wine (or more) on.
Must must must arrange a time to pick up the key. The hotel is within a larger complex that is locked and the reception is not always attended. So if you don't arrange a time in advance you may be stuck outside on the street until the morning when the cleaner comes. Breakfast was just a croissant. A very nice croissant, but still, a little disappointing if you look forward to a good holiday breakfast.
Salernoprestige is close proximity to shopping mall, eating places including a walk to the esplanade for restaurants and cafes. Also a short walk to the wharf there is a boat that takes you across to the Amalfi coast etc. The point of accommodation at Salernoprestige served us well. Gigi, the owner was most helpful.
There is nothing to report.
Close to transportTion
EAsy to not find it. A floor in a big building.
The location being less than a block from the train station and two blocks from the waterfront was excellent. The street is also vehicle traffic free.
We arrived by local bus in the early afternoon and had difficulty finding the building because it is not a traditional hotel. It is a goup of rooms in part of a building complex. You must be prepared to phone a number to arrange access to your room or you will be standing on the street wondering what to do. Since we didnt have an international phone service we were left standing on the street. The building attendent helped out only after another man prompted him. His phone calls and chatting up the girls on the street seemed far more important to him. Finally he did call the room manager who came and got us into the room . The access into the "hotel" complex was a challenge as the locks were complicated. On both nights of our stay we heard people struggling to get the lock open and banging on the doors in hope someone would let them in. Don't bother with the breakfast: bun, jam, packet of dry toast and coffee from a coin operated machine. On a positive note the room itself is modern, clean and comfortable however in need of some maintenance. The curtain rod is improperly installed and come crashing to the floor at first touch.
Highly recommended. Excellent location close to all mayor transportation hubs. Train, bus, ferry stations are just 5 minutes walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful to all request. It look recently renovated and very clean. Very secure place and quiet. This was my first experience with a B&B in Salerno and I fall in love with the place. When I return definitely will stay again.
Hall and entrance lights timers are too short.
Location is perfect, walking distance from train station. The owner is very kind, explain all the options to move around amalfi coast
Newly renovated rooms, very close to the train station and the city center.
Rooms on the main street are a little noisy.
Good room, clean and spacious. Excellent local for take breakfast and the cappuccino are the best. Excelent location.
The host and location was great. The bar where the breakfast is was very close. The room was clean and quiet which was great because we were with a small baby.
Location is great, right on pedestrian (at least at night) street with shopping immediately out the door. Gigi seems like a nice host, although our interaction was brief. We were late checking in and he was very accommodating to that. A nice informal place to stay in the heart of Salerno at a good price.
Parking is difficult if you have a car, but if you want to be in the center of town I don't think you have many options. Also, keep in mind that the B & B is not staffed with a receptionist and breakfast is at a nearby restaurant if those details matter to you.
The design of the room.
The way to get in to the room and that misleading information that it should be a hotel while it was just a room in a flat in a block of flats. And the breakfast was just a croisant and a cup of coffee in a cafe in the same street.
Modern room, on a main strip with lots of shopping, etc! The room was very comfortable, very clean, and we liked staying there. Gigi, the owner, is awesome and very helpful.
Well, this probably isn't fair, because this isn't a hotel, but rather a B&B. However, there were a couple of tiny supplies missing and the hot water lasted about 5 minutes. Could have been a fluke, but it was what it was. Also, difficult to coordinate a meeting time to get into the room initially, but that was pretty much our fault for not having a cell phone.
