We were told that there would be wifi and it was not provided.
Everything was good exept breakfast.
Breakfast room and furnishings were in Bad condition. Like in cheap hotel.
Great location and friendly staff . Would definitely come back again , happy customer !
I did not like much. The location is fine. BE AWARE - their rating is a scam. When I checked out - they gave me a flier offering me a free night the next time I came (no thanks for all the reasons below). When I looked more closely at the flier the free night was contingent on rating them 8.0 or higher on bookings.com. Scam! It explains their extremely inflated 7.5 rating. They are 2-4. Nowhere near 8 and they are manipulating their rating. Very uncool in my book. Bookings.com should investigate. I took a photo of the flier I can share.
I spent $400/night for a bizarre "superior palace" room (prices inflated because it was the opening of the Venice Biennale; I ended up here because my original hotel inadvertently cancelled my reservation; this was literally the last room in Venice which tells you a lot). Cabinetry is laminate. Materials (curtains, bedspread, carpet) are synthetic. Posters are pinned to the walls with thumb tacks both in the rooms and in the halls. The "minibar" is a small dorm fridge that they sell bottles of water and coke from. The two bottles of water in mine were previously opened (gross). Shower is so small you can't bend down, yet the bathroom itself is awkwardly large and laid out. Feels institutional. The clincher - when I checked out they gave me a flier for a free night next time I go (no thanks) - when I looked more closely at the flier at the airport - they offer a free room to guests who rate the 8 or higher on bookings.com. What a scam! Be aware.
Great and rich breakfast.Very close to all Venice landmarks.Refurbished rooms, very quiet.
Location was really good, quiet but convenient for centre of Venice.
We upgraded to a superior twin room (room 28) but...shower door broken, hair dryer broken, view over concrete yard and roofs, tiny room which was nothing like the photo on the web site ...so...very disappointed and not worth the extra money!
Breakfast was OK. Easy to get to other parts of town from its location. It is 500 years old which is amazing.
Very hard to find the first time and lots of bridges to cross carrying suitcases. Last stop of vaporetto from airport so took 1.5 hours to get there. Unexpectedly long. Bed was very saggy. Had to re-log into WiFi each time and only one device allowed per log-in code.
too expensive breakfast
The staff were friendly
It smelt really really bad like sewage
Friendly and helpful staff good breakfast We had an issue with the first room and we were moved straight away without any problems lovely bathroom good location, nice and quiet but very close to everything excellent value!
not really anything negative to say about this hotel. For the price it was really good.
The outside areas, terrace
I liked the rooms decor, free wifi (only certain bookings have free wifi otherwise u have to pay) Bathroom was a great size
Unfortunately i had a not so good experience as I accidentally made two bookings online and was charged for both of them due to it being a non refundable booking! Please make sure your careful when booking! However we did receive a complimentary bottle of champagne as there was nothing they could offer us to make up for the double payment The water bus takes approx 40 minutes from main train station Double bed is two singles pushed together Shower door had one part missing which caused the water to go everywhere Room was only accessible by walking through the restuarant area
Very welcoming staff that showed us quickly to our room, which was very clean and very modern, the bathroom especially. especially
Noisy early morning construction outside.
The staff was highly professional, nice and helpful, the triple room we rented was great, and the included breakfast was more than sufficient!
The shower seem to have missed one of its doors, and was not closed - it didn't really effect us, but the flood that followed my shower made me feel bad for the housekeeping.
Well, there is one staff member who is particularly enjoyable and friendly, and his name is Salvadore. The rest of the staff is normal. That isn't to say that they were bad or unfriendly. But Salvadore was excellent. The included breakfast was much better, albeit simple, than other hotels; it was delicious. The hotel is well located, you aren't to far from anything, but that's mostly because Venice is so small. I would return to this hotel if I come back.
The wifi was frustrating. You have to log in every time you want to use it, and it will sign you out automatically after a little while. For us the wifi codes were free, but it seems for some rates, it's not. And it's like 4€ for 12 hours and 5€ for 24 hours. The time only accrues when you're logged in, and because it signs you out automatically, 24 hours could easily cover your whole stay if you're there for about 5 days. If you store your bags with them after you have checked out, the area they use is fairly public, so you have to ask them to store your valuables behind the front desk if you're worried. Sometimes there was a smell, but I don't attribute that to the hotel, as I have read the same about many other hotels. I think it was much more about the strange sewage system of Venice, and it didn't bother me. All of these are small things compared to the rest of the hotel which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Good location, helpful staff, upgraded which was nice. Clean largish room and bathroom. Did smell at high tide, but that's Venice. Breakfast was good. Wifi worked.
The room was new, just as shown on the pictures, with two bathrooms and and overview of the garden; buffet style breakfast; staff.
The double bed was actually two single beds put together, so they kept sliding apart.
The location was not bad, it was pretty close and easily access by from Salute Waterbus station. The staff are very dynamic and friendly, especially Mr. Salvotore! He was the best! Excellent service!
room clean very spacious and nice linen...breakfast good....location very good but very hard to find and get to...
No English channels.. Terrible sewage smell in room...had tea/coffee equipment but did not supply milk, said couldn't use the equipment...
Loved the city. Hotel left it down. Got the impression, we had prepaid, so tough!!! No one cared!!
Hotel as booked, claimed to have air conditioning. The airconditioning unit was on the wall but only opperated at a temp of 18-22deg.wich ment it blew hot air as the temp outside was approx 12-15deg.I Asked that it be reset or turned off on Day1+Day 2 of my stay. I heard nothing more. If we opened the door to the patio to cool down, the mosquitoes came in. We eventualy solved the problem by taking out the card from the power slot. This ment of course we had no lights but at least we were cooler & able to sleep. We also requested a reading light as the room was lit by just 1 central light. This request was also ignored! On the day we left there was a public service strike. We were assured by reception that the vaparetto would run untill 9am. When we arrived at the stop we found this was not the case. Our choice at that stage was to walk to the station or pay 150+ for a watertaxi.
There was nothing to like This hotel was listed as three star hotel and in fact it was a two star hotel when we reached there Also it should be listed as one star and not worth the money
Rooms are small and dirty Full of insects Consumed furniture Smells of suewage
the place is near s.marco squar and it is far from the noise
the brakefast was so humble
it is a very big and nice room
Location was as suggested, quiet and close.
Breakfast was very poor in comparison to budget hotels everywhere I have stayed in Europe. Rooms were mosquito filled with an inability to close windows (and we stayed in an air conditioned room). Staff was of no assistance.
