Hotel Samarcanda provides free parking and a free shuttle bus to Civitavecchia Train Station and Harbour 10 minutes' drive away. It features an ice cream parlour and pizzeria restaurant. Rooms are decorated in bright colours and feature air conditioning, a 32" LCD TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries. A sweet Italian breakfast is brought directly to your room each morning. The pizzeria restaurant is open every day for dinner, except Tuesdays. The Samarcanda Hotel is easily reached from the A12 motorway and is around 45 minutes' drive from Fiumicino Airport. Location good since it is 45 min from Rome Fiumicino airport. Rather spartan, but the value is good if you need hotel for an early flight departure. Ristorante Pizzeria next door is very good and convenient. Beds were a bit soft.

Simple, clean, economical and adequate for overnight stays, and helpful personal service was very impressive and appreciated, Fabulous help beyond expectations getting us to the port with their car, helping us to check in our rental car, and advising us on other arrangements. Located maybe 10 minutes drive from the cruise port serving Rome. Only food choice is the restaurant on the premises unless you go into the city a few minutes away by car. Breakfast is a basic continental pastry and coffee brought to the room.

Nice room, so clean. Parking directly to Your room, I was travel with disinsable person and for me was so easlier to go with her to room. Cery nice bar/restauran close to hotel, friendly staff. If I will NeXT time in Civitavechia I'm sure I go there again.

The service the manager provided. regularly drove us into the town when needed in his own car. Drove us to the port when we left on our cruise. Made us coffee whenever we requested it and brought to our room Distance from town. No coffee making facilities in the room. Restaurant not open every night.

The owner stayed around until 23.15 as our boat coming in was delayed, he already had our room heat pump on and we walked straight in.

The operator, Silveo, was awesome, and very accommodating. We needed to get to the train station and port terminals, and he happily drove us there, saving us a lot of money in taxis or shuttles. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. They also have a big bathroom with an amazing shower! There wasn't anything I didn't like.

We stayed there the night before departing on a cruise..excellent value, clean, extra special in that pickup from train station and transportation to cruise ship was provided. Extremely well taken care of by the manager/owner. Does have limited English, but has computer which translates so you can communicate previous to arrival. They provide information quickly via internet. Room was spacious and extremely clean. Nice place to relax morning before going to ship. Will stay there next time traveling out of Civitavecchia. Breakfast is small cup of coffee and roll and brought to your room!

It was newısh and clean When we arrıved there was no one there to let us ın. Thank goodness another traveller knew how to phone the man. He spoke very lıttle Englısh. We were mıles away fromanywhere to get any food. So we had no dınner. Then they dıd not have the brakfast for 5 Euros as advertısed and we had no breakfast before bordıng the Norwegıan Jade. No coffee machıne or any water...no shampoo etc.

Very good overall, quiet ,solid place ,friendly even tho we didn't speak Italian,we communicated well! The concierge even took us to the train station himself. Not a big problem, but not close to any stores, etc. Maybe a good thing!

Mooie kamer en dito badkamer. Super schoon. In naastgelegen pizerria/trattoria kan je heerlijk eten. De vriendelijke eigenaar heeft ons naar de cruiseterminal gebracht en onze auto kon kosteloos 11 dagen blijven staan. Bij een volgende cruise komen wij zeker terug. Een absolute aanrader.

vriendelijk, netjes en hygiënisch. De patron doet elkeen naar wens gratis naar de stad of de luchthaven of de cruise-terminal. Zelfs onze wagen mocht daar 10 dagen gratis blijven staan. Er is ook een pizzeria aan.
