We enjoyed our stay and the atmosphere at this small, elegant hotel. The neighborhood, located outside the center of Rome, was quiet and safe. Our breakfasts were delicious with an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt and a wide assortment of pastries and cakes. So glad we decided to stay here when in Rome!
Beautiful hotel and the staff have clearly got great pride in their jobs.
No tea making in room
everything could not fault hotel an location
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a corner room that was large with lots of light and very comfortable. The bathroom had an extra large jacuzzi tub and shower. Lovely garden area for breakfast and evening drinks. Fabulous breakfast!
Internet was sometimes intermittent.
Loved the location in a quiet leafy residential neighbourhood away from the crowds. Hotel garden was gorgeous, a great place to enjoy the full breakfasts or a late afternoon drink from the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was very small, there was little room to put one's luggage.
free secure car parking beautiful rooms Internet worked perfectly showers with jacuzzi breakfast was wonderful with freshly squeezed orange juice - everything was very tasty and of a great quality shower in the toilet at the ground floor which you could use if you check out at 12 and your flight is late evening, what a brilliant idea!
the room didn't have much light, but the bathroom did; it was a beautiful room though
Warm welcome by staff, great comfort in room, beautiful fresh food for breakfast. A short stroll to the Circus Maximus and the rest of the attractions of Rome but the tranquil location is worth the extra walk. Highly recommended.
We loved the location, if you want to experience a beautiful and peaceful introduction to Rome this is it. Not too far away from the city and a lovely area to stroll around. Hotel is lovely, friendly staff breakfast excellent.
Hotel is beautiful quiet and relaxing oasis a day of sight seeing. Very clean and polite staff that made you feel at home.
A peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but within easy walking distance. In an up market suburb.
Beautiful decor Staff very friendly very helpful, every need attended to Amazing breakfast Lovely property Quiet Aventine Hill location near Circus Maximus A pleasure
San Anselmo's rooms are spacious and luxuriously decorated, comfortable and well cared for. I discovered this hotel when I decided to extend my stay in Rome. It is in a quiet real Roman neighborhood and yet only 15 minutes by foot from Trastevere.
Since I like to walk everywhere, this would have been a more challenging location to see the heart of tourist Rome, such as the Pantheon and Spanish Steps, but it was perfect for the end of the tour and gave me a taste of residential Rome and Testaccio.
Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff. Asked for a kettle for our room. Was there within the hour.
Quite steep hill upon return to hotel. Hire car maybe an option.
Friendly staff, always willing To help. Had a wonderful time in Rome many thanks
Rating the location of San Anselmo is a bit vague. For party maniacs is most-likely to be boring place, but for a person(s) that wants to be both in the city center, and in quite and safe neighbor it is a top choice. Also breakfast was really nice...
Nothing, everything was wonderful.
Location was great. It's nice not to be right in the centre of Rome and you can walk everywhere quite easily. The surrounding area is authentically Roman which is nicer than being confined to the centre. Breakfast was good. Rooms were comfortable.
Rooms were a little small, but that's standard. The front desk staff were nice but the breakfast staff could be a little curt. Wifi was quite weak and slow in the rooms.
Friendly staff. Breakfast was spot on.
Very noisy, lots of banging noises through the nights.
Staff was very nice and helpful.
The room was ridiculously tiny with little closet space, not even hooks on the wall.
The room and especially the bathroom and sunken bath. Service was also excellent.
Quiet neighborhood, beautiful property, attentive staff, great healthy breakfast, nice room. I highly recommend this hotel for young active visitors who don't mind walking a bit. Taxi service is also readily available and not too expensive.
The hotel is a bit further away from some attractions and sights. Also, the shower in our room could have used a better curtain/barrier to keep water off the bathroom floor.
Location is not ideal for sight seeing
Good staff. Good location. The breakfast selection was large.
Rooms are a bit small for the price. No restaurant and limited bar menu.
Lovely hotel in an excellent and quiet location but very near to all the major attractions. The rooms and hotel were fabulous and offered a great selection and quality of food for breakfast. The staff and service were superb.
1) The odd few mosquitoes in the back garden/patio area. 2) Leaving
