On the way to San Clemente Palace in the water taxi from the train station we thought that maybe we had made a mistake by staying away from the city itself and having to take a boat trip whenever we wanted to go to Venice city. After the first trip into town we decided that it was no trouble to catch the shuttle boat as it went every 40 minutes from 5am to 1am next morning and docked right next to St Marks Square. A few days we went into St Marks Square in the morning, did sight seeing and shopping then went back to San Clemente for a rest then went back in for dinner. The boat trip was relaxing and interesting and we were able to see other islands with motels and so much variety in water traffic it was amazing. We travelled back on day at sunset and took some magical photos. The San Clemente island is beautifully manicured, has many lawns and gardens, small friendly rabbits and lots of birds. The church on the island is very interesting and it would be wonderful to see it restored to its former beauty. Our room was clean and had a lovely marble bathroom. The dining room was a bit expensive but the food was excellent as was the service (the treble prawn dish was yummy). The breakfast had plenty of variety as well. We spent 5 nights there and would like to go back to Venice in the future and would probably stay at the same Hotel next time. The resort itself is a very big area and if you had trouble walking you would need to request a room near the reception area.

This break to the San Clemente Palace Hotel was for a 50th birthday surprise. It was out of this world but just close enough to Venice if you wanted the hustle and bustle of Venice itself. Stunning grounds, beautiful hotel and facilities especially the spa. The staff were second to none, nothing was too much trouble, absolutely first class in every way. It is expensive but it is a five star hotel but worth every penny. Would I stay again? absolutley and for longer. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room

Wonderful wonderful hotel. Everything about it was First Class. It was enjoyable taking the complimentary water shuttle back & forth to town. The wild rabbits were an added treat! WE LOVED OUR STAY!!! Controlling temperature in the room was difficult. Generally the room was too warm. However being late October whenever we got back to the room we opened the windows. Fortunately without screens we did not have a problem with mousquitoes

The Hotel is beautiful and wonderfully situated on its own island which gives it a peaceful tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of Venice proper. The little rabbits are great and so cute. The rooms are sumptuous and very comfortable. The shuttle to and from San Marco Piazza is well timed, convenient and such a great way to travel. We loved it! it took an bit of asking around to find the location of the shuttle to the hotel so better signs would help. Don't expect much from the 3 hole golf course. Breakfast was very busy.

San Clemente was very clean and comfortable. Spa facilities were great and beautiful grounds for a leisurely walk. Our room was very hot and the air conditioning wasn't on as October is classed as a winter month in Venice. The reception staff were very helpful and did put the heating off in our room although air conditioning would have been the ideal solution.

The hotel is very, very big, unlike most of Veneza hotels, looks new and luxurious, the staff is very atencious and prepared. It´s nestled in a private island, with free and frequent boat transfers straight to San Marco Square. The bathroom had a constant and kind of intense bad smell

We stayed for 3 nights for our honeymoon and this was a perfect hotel. We had an amazing view from our room, the private boats are on time and a lovely way to arrive at the hotel and the grounds of the hotel are well worth a walk around.

Everything (except wi-fi access). It was magnificant, especially having the regular shuttle service. The wonderful concierge who booked us the Opera tickets, the welcoming reception staff, the quality of the service in the bar and the ameninities and the gardens. It was a stunning resort and we would definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you for a fabulous stay. Free Wi-fi should be a standard facility in all hotels/resorts. The one in the lobby didn't work properly.

the resort is set in a very quiet and nice island which is only 20 mins away by the free water transfer provided by the resort from San Mark Square. It keeps you far away from the mess and crowd of touristic Venezian, but still provide convenient way to enjoy the city. The resort itself is just a paradise, with nice restaurant, great rooms, high qualitied facilities including a big swimmimg pool. I would definitely recommend my friends to stay in this resort!!

I liked the location and the outdoor surroundings. I was unhappy with the receptionists and the management at the hotel breakfast restaurant. We were at the breakfast for 10.55 and he told us they were closed. We told him we still had five minutes and only then he let us go in. Surely we were not at SCHOOL Again!!!!

It is not far from the San Marco square and the shuttle boat is very convinient. The breakfast is qualify as a five star hotel. The room is vintage decorated and it is clean and comfortable. Do not eat any dinner at the hotel,EXCEPT the breakfast. I have order 2 spaghettis and 2 desserts and it cost me about 100 Euros, however, the real problem was that the spaghetti is toooooooo salty to eat without a bread and seafood is frozen. It was actually a disaster and it was the most terrable meal I had during the whole journey in Italy.

The hotel has an exclusive feel because of the remote location on an island. While pricey, we felt that there was value due to the room size, quiet and hotel amenities such as quality linens, quality fixtures and room appointments. The hotel boat shuttle is convenient to catch, and delivers you to St. Marks Square.

I liked its location on its own island. It meant you could escape the crowds in central Venice. The hotel has a regular shuttle service that operates at 20minute intervals late into the night. So it was easy to go to and fro without long waits. The lack of choice of restaurants. Also the main restaurant was very expensive for average cuisine for dinner. But breakfast was excellent.
