Set in a beautiful 18th-century building in the heart of Catania, Hotel Gresi features frescoed ceilings and old-world charm. Walk to the Duomo in 10 minutes.

Set in the historical centre of Catania a 5-minute walk from Massimo Bellini Theatre, Aida offers colour-themed rooms set in a renovated building from the 1940s.

The Elios guesthouse offers colorful rooms with a balcony and free Wi-Fi. It is in central Catania, a 5-minute walk from the Duomo and Stesicoro Square.

Only 250 metres from Piazza del Duomo, Younghostel is located in the centre of Catania, within a 5-minute walk of several restaurants.
Score from 91 reviews Good
The staff was exceptionally helpful, relaxed and nice, which always counts. The single room was small, but more than sufficient for one person. Also, everything was super clean. The location is exceptional since it is in the very heart of Catania (so perfect was solo travellers because very safe, too), and close to the bus station for the airport. I would truly recomment this B&B for one night or a couple of days stay.
On Saturday's night it can be rather noisy due to the location - earplugs will do.
Lovely balcony, handy location, helpful staff, good price, comfy bed, secure
no breakfast included, traffic noise (but we knew this and had ear plugs)
The location of the B&R is good, central, at the main street. The staff speaks relatively good English and is willing to help. The building also has an elevator - which might be crucial for travellers with larger suitcases, given the fact that it is located at the second floor. the sheets were replaced - but only for the fourth night
I booked single room with balcony - it was really tiny single room, with balcony looking at the 4m2 yard shared with four other buildings - so all balconies/rooms look into this small space, and all noise produced in those flats, from the street, by the people, cats, traffic - you hear it all. I managed it with earplugs - but the maintenance of the room was rather poor. I had hair of other guests in the bathroom, the shower was stained, even dirty. the towels were grey - could be that previous guest made them really dirty. the towel for floor next to the shower was with holes. the cupboard was tiny, toll, and I was not able to use it at all. the room overall was very gloomy - probably because of dark, uncoordinated colours of curtains, sheets, walls and floor. balcony is not a balcony but a small dirty space with outside element of A/C.
Fantastically located in the very centre of Catania. The personel was really nice and helpful: they gave us a little fridge (albeit not working;), basic kitchen utensils and moved our car when our parking time was over (we didn't have to come back from sightseeing in the middle of the day to do it ourselves). We had a quiet room with windows facing the courtyard.
It was clean, but the place needs some renovating. Also, the description of the room included things like hair dryer, wrapper and electric kettle, which were not in the room.
Bed was not comfortable
The accommodation was not what we had expected as we didn't realise that it consisted of rooms set up the way they were, however, the location was excellent. The room was clean, the linen was clean and there was no skimping on the quantity of it. There was plenty of hot water for showers and the wifi was excellent. Also, our room had air con. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the young man at the reception desk who recommended a tour that suited our group of 4 with a tour to Mt Etna. He then arranged the booking. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was built in 1694 and we were advised it was a nobleman's house. Good value for money.
Nothing. We were only there for 1 night and no complaints.
Excellently located in the heart of Catania within walking distance to some very good fish restaurants; with a very convenient parking space just outside the main entrance to the building. Clean linen and towels where provided. Great value vouchers to have breakfast 50 meters away from the Hotel. Owner was extremely helpful and charming with our kids.
Location in the city
Economic room is too expensive for what you have, it's very small the breakfast consist in a coffee and a cake for 3€, the parking inside is 10€ by day For only one night it's too much i think
Location was perfect, right in the centre of the city. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room was a great size with good air-con and a large balcony from which to watch the craziness of the driving in the street below.
It looked exactly like pictured
The central location , is right on the main road for shopping and close to most sights . Helpful staff and clean place
The Hotel is a bit old , and in need of refurbishment . it is very noisy at night, the traffic keeps on till the early hours .
location elevator spot on restaurant recomendations
location in catania friendly and helpful staff
overall cleanliness, especially the sheets on the bed...
We were made to feel VERY welcome by the lovely, hard-working young couple that own the hotel. The staff was ALWAYS available, polite and helpful in helping us to discover Catania. Also, they directed us towards three restaurants that provided us with the 3 best meals we ate while traveling throughout Sicily.
Great location Nice building Friendly and helpful staff
Other people in the room next to ours were noisy
The palazzo in the historic heart of Catania was a unique experience. The staff was friendly and helpfull, altough it was clear they weren't professionals.
The 'new' bathroom was not nicely integrated into the old and high palazzo room. It had the appereance of a container. The bathroom had to be, because it was added later, equipped with a pump to get the waste-water to the sewers. This pump made a hell af a noise when we took a shower or went the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't very clean eather.
very central location, very clean and quite room, the staff was very friendly and made helpful recomendations for me about the city which make my stay easy and fun
Very helpful with arrangements and extremely polite
The location was easy to find, and also close to the major places of interest. The rooms are clean and well-kept. It's a place where the owner ensures peace and quiet, so it's perfect those who appreciate a quiet environment, like me. The owner is a friendly and helpful man.
Michelangelo and his wife were very very nice and helpful. The B&B is only 5min away of Piazza Duomo and it's super well located. Everything is tidy and well cleaned
Friendly couple who runs the place is very welcoming and helpful. Excellent location for sightseeing in and out of Catania. Originally booked two nights only but stayed entire week and used San Demetrio as our base to run our daily trips from.
i would not let my dog stay at this place. dirty, loud- scary.
Great location and great restaurants nearby. If you like seafood, Il Mare was fabulous - very fresh, prepared with love!
Budget room is not suitable for a double room....way too small and very basic.
