Nice neighborhood Cheap Price Nice atmosphere
Noise from the street (even in a back room) and every morning around 6a.m the church bells woke me up Room has only a bed - now other place to sit Shower and tub got clog and water were piling up
Nice location very near the center with many restaurants around and tram n. 8 station, which as the only one goes to the center. The rooms faced to the back (garden) are very quiet (in case the rooms around you are empty) for Rome, where even children are up and in the streets around midnight. Breakfast was good, room small but clean, nice bar on the roof. Good hotel for price under 100 Euro per night for double room including breakfast and tax.
Biggest problem are the walls between the rooms... you not only hear the neighbors from all rooms around, but it feels, that they are in your room. You can hear them breathing... Every morning (7 a.m. and then again each 30 min.) there are bells ringing from very near church (but this you can have in many areas of Rome). Rooms are small and would use some renovation, breakfast area is small and when the hotel is full, there are not enough tables. Conclusion - when the hotel is not fully occupied, it would deserve 9/10, when its full the review would be around 6/10.
So clean and simple Location is fab to reach any place Breakfast lovely Rooftop view Staff friendly and helpful For the price you can't go wrong Amazing food at a small kiosk style shop on Via San Francesco A Ripa, just look out for a group of people gathered inside standing to eat pizza slices, fried zucchini and arancini!
Nothing, this hotel matched our needs.
The staff were amazingly helpful and very polite. The breakfast was delicious.
A nice small size hotel in the quite part of Trastevere, nice and clean but small room, great breakfast.
The staff were friendly and helpful and all spoke good English. The breakfast was comprehensive and varied. The hotel is located near the centre of the Trastavere and within 15 minutes walk of the river. The room was well equipped and quiet. Excellent views from the rooftop bar.
No BBC news or other English speaking news channels on the TV
Roof garden morning and evening, staff - very engaging, and especially helpful making reservations, etc while hotel computer was offline, location-especially after getting familiar with the neighborhood.
Nothing to report. The staff assistance with arrangements made up for the computer being out of commission.
Staff were friendly, and we like the Trastevere neighborhood, so this location is what we wanted.
Our room was very small. With the baby crib and stroller in the room, we could barely navigate around the room. The breakfast was mediocre with only canned fruit and lots of bread items.
The staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful. This is the Brooklyn of Rome...a charming, walkable, and interesting neighborhood where the Romans actually outnumber the tourists.
The room was pristine but quite small.
The area, the quietness of the hotel, ease of access to anywhere, we walked everywhere.
we could park our car in front of the hotel
I liked everything, the most important aspect of a hotel other than the room you stay in is the quality of staff that run it, and they were fantastic, from the first moment I stepped in, throughout my stay and to the day I left they were very helpful. They made me feel very welcome and provided me with every piece of information I needed or asked for.
There was no dislike to the hotel of any kind due to the fantastic location of it.
Spotlessly clean very night after the maid cleans. Friendly and caring staff, Alissanza was wonderful. Walk out your door and you are not in the center of tourist insanity but off a side street in wonderful Trastevere old neighbor. A tram drive to the center ancient Rome.
Rooms are small but we loved the view from our corner room and after awhile saw that every care was taken to maximize the space.
The location was fabulous for our needs. Very easy to get to different locations. Each morning we had a nice breakfast. They made sure if you left early breakfast was there for you. Very accommodating. Nice rooftop bar. Staff could not have been nicer. Very clean. Would highly recommend.
Friendly staff, nice rooftop bar, great location
If you were a light sleeper you could hear next door room. Only one mirror in room also.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fine. We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the third floor facing the back, which was perfect. The roof bar was a great addition and a good place to unwind after walking the streets. The location was perfect - quiet for Rome but close to the Trastevere nightlife and within walking distance to the city centre.
We love to travel and be part of a small neighborhood... Hotel San francesco was perfect for our needs ... We wanted to walk as much as possible and live for a few days as an Italian!
The atmosphere of wonderful area and rooftop bar made up for the smallish room. We had a divine view of a monastery from our window, and we were welcomed each day by the adjoining church bell. My sister went running each morning at six am and felt safe by herself. The area was easily walkable to the sites, with great local eateries.
Nice rooms Safe in room Good bathroom Roof top bar fantastic Staff very helpful In good area with lots of bars & restaurants
Very nice hotel, 15 minutes walk to the Centrum. Hotel staff were very elegant and caring. Breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean. Surprisingly wi-fi was too fast. Because of an emergency we had to leave the hotel early, especially Mr. Massimo was very helpful about this. Thank you so much Mr. Massimo again, it was a pleasure to meet you.
- Refrigeration in room - Internet - Health Food stores and vegetarian restaurants easy walking distance - Main attractions easy taxi ride (or reasonable walk if you're a walker)
Liked the wonderful staff The "bar" on the roof The decor was great The breakfast was just enough fresh choices in a wonderful atmosphere. Rooms were clean with wonderful views of the city. Thanks to the staff....... I would tell anyone to stay in this great hotel
From the minute we arived the staff were brilliant and very knowledgeable which helped plan the days. Roof top bar fantastic great way to finish the day, and the continental breakfast catered for all tastes, young and old... We will be going back....
Nothing not to like like excellent..!
it's clean, the breakfasts are delicious with plenty of choices; roof top bar is amazing especially if Giordano is serving cocktails! good location to walk to see the main sights, near a tram stop and some bars - perfect! Would definitely go back
sometimes it's gets busy at certain times for breakfast and guests may have to wait a short while for a table
