We love to travel and be part of a small neighborhood... Hotel San francesco was perfect for our needs ... We wanted to walk as much as possible and live for a few days as an Italian!
The atmosphere of wonderful area and rooftop bar made up for the smallish room. We had a divine view of a monastery from our window, and we were welcomed each day by the adjoining church bell. My sister went running each morning at six am and felt safe by herself. The area was easily walkable to the sites, with great local eateries.
Nice rooms Safe in room Good bathroom Roof top bar fantastic Staff very helpful In good area with lots of bars & restaurants
Very nice hotel, 15 minutes walk to the Centrum. Hotel staff were very elegant and caring. Breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean. Surprisingly wi-fi was too fast. Because of an emergency we had to leave the hotel early, especially Mr. Massimo was very helpful about this. Thank you so much Mr. Massimo again, it was a pleasure to meet you.
- Refrigeration in room - Internet - Health Food stores and vegetarian restaurants easy walking distance - Main attractions easy taxi ride (or reasonable walk if you're a walker)
Liked the wonderful staff The "bar" on the roof The decor was great The breakfast was just enough fresh choices in a wonderful atmosphere. Rooms were clean with wonderful views of the city. Thanks to the staff....... I would tell anyone to stay in this great hotel
From the minute we arived the staff were brilliant and very knowledgeable which helped plan the days. Roof top bar fantastic great way to finish the day, and the continental breakfast catered for all tastes, young and old... We will be going back....
Nothing not to like like excellent..!
it's clean, the breakfasts are delicious with plenty of choices; roof top bar is amazing especially if Giordano is serving cocktails! good location to walk to see the main sights, near a tram stop and some bars - perfect! Would definitely go back
sometimes it's gets busy at certain times for breakfast and guests may have to wait a short while for a table
Air conditioning did not work in my son's room. He spent the night on the floor in our room. You need more staff.
Location, staff very helpful and friendly, rooms comfortable.

Location, staff, rooftop bar
Excellent frontdesk and staff. Fantasic roof terrace with bar and VIEW! Fully OK breakfast (even for non-italians) Good location in Trastevere Nice bathrooms
Noicy and not very efficient A/C Small rooms
Roof top bar. Free-pour G&t
Position, rooftop garden,great barman,helpful staff.
Room very small. Could have more information about Roma available. Metro and tram systems etc. No information in the bedroom about hotel facilities.
The location was great and easy walking distance to the main sites in Rome.
The welcome on our arrival was not good at all. The concierge didn't look up as I walked in and they were reluctantly helpful in relation to directing us to find parking. They hardly directed us to our rooms, leaving us to guess where our room was. Overall not a good first impression, which was a great shame as this was our honeymoon.
The location is fantastic with all amenities close to the hotel. The staff were accommodating where they could oblige. The hotel was clean with good breakfast provided. It was ideal for a weekend break where you are not spending long in the hotel.
The street traffic was loud in the rooms at the front of the hotel. Recommend requesting a room at the rear of the building. The bedroom and bathroom could do with an upgrade.
Noisy rooms - i could hear the person in the next room snoring.
Suited us to walk or catch tram to many parts of Rome we wanted to visit. Excellent restaurants and surroundings close by. Staff were very helpful in giving us directions and advice.
Nothing comes to mind.
Rich and tasty breakfast
The staff were fantastic - all our little requests were happily and quickly responded to. Breakfast was superb - full range of possibilities to choose from and all good quality and delicious. Very comfortable beds. Nicely located for walking to both Vatican and Colosseum. Totally recommend.
Lift broke down once but was fixed quickly
The location and friendly atmosphere
