Guest House Locanda Gallo

We really enjoyed staying in Locabndo Gallo. The staff was excellent. They are extremely friendly. They gave us very good suggestions for places to visit and dine. You should definitely follow their suggestions. The hotel is also located on a very convenient place, it is just 15 min walk form main train station and maybe 10-15 min walk from touristic places. The room is like you can see from the pics.

No elevator but the guy of the house helps you with the luggage

The owners are amazing, full of good tips and extremely kind. the room was clean and quite big. the geographical position excellent to visit the city. we spent two wonderful days and will come back for sure.

Not easy access if you travel with young children with trolley (no lift, 3rd floor)

We liked the quaintness of the room but this is not a b&b. It is basically a room in the middle of Florence

Our shower was broken. The facility is a little run down and needs some maintenance work to be done on it

Hotel is fairly good, shower could be better, but still not too shabby. The bed is not really a double but two individuals put together, which is not nice when you are expecting a real double.

Staff was not in place around 12:00 pm for check in, we had to wait for her 1 hour, which is a pain specially after landing into the city.

New and modern room, small but comfortable, small alcove with curtain for the single bed was good, all electrical appliances worked and wifi was fast. Suited our short stay perfectly as located close to monuments and cafes. Host was very helpful and gave us great places to eat and things to see.

Stairs up to the room are small as it is an older building. Facade of the building is a little off putting but the room was great.

Location was good, close to the ZTL limits which is handy for people with a rental car. Walking distance to the cathedral and major sights. Staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms were very clean.

The house itself was difficult to find, no street number or references provided, and no visible sign whatsoever. We had to walk the road up and down several times until I finally decided to call (roaming charges) for more detailed information. Once we arrived, we found out there was no lift. We had to climb three stories of old, uneven and steep stairs, with lugagge. Not an easy task for an old couple (over 70 y/o). This should be stated in the hotel information to warn handicapped people of the difficult access. Showers were very poor, with only a frickle of water in the mornings. Drainage was very slow, and shower plate was constantly flooded.

Good and recently renovated room with modern furnitures.

A terrible smell was coming from the toilet and it persisted for the whole week end. Also, one morning we've been waked up by some terrible sounds (like hammer drill and stuff like that) coming from the flat close to our room. Definitely things you're not looking for when you go for a holiday!!

The room was mildly clean. Travel office next door was useful.

Locanda gh is just a step up from being a dump. This place misrepresents itself with its pictures on the website. Our room looked more like an institutional cell. Also not easy to find at all. There is barely a sign identifying the front door and we walked by it twice before asking directions. Staff is only there to check you in from 10am-1pm. You certainly need to read the fine print to make an appt to check in otherwise. Entry hall is depressing and looks and smells as if bums squat there. Bed is horrid. It could be a mattress that has been ripped out of an old foldaway sofa. It rises up at the ends when you sit in the middle and you can feel every spring in your back the instant you lie down. Internet works only sometimes and was out half the time we where there. Shower drain was clogged. It's cold. Signage says heat is only on 3x a day. If you are on the street side it is very loud at all hours. Staff didn't clean daily (we were there 4 days) and the whole place just feels run down and sad. Way over priced for what you get. Should be more like 30 Euros a night instead.

Pulizia generale appena sufficiente, scarsa quella del bagno, mancava una persiana in una Finestra, e infissi e arredamento obsoleti/inutilizzabili. Mancava il bidet e il box doccia era rotto.

La cortesia del personale e la posizione (molto vicino al centro)

Veramente molto confortevole e pulito, proprietari premurosi e disponibili per qualsiasi informazione (luoghi da visitare e distanze, taxi, ristoranti e locali) sono presenti nella struttura per l'accoglienza ed in parte della mattinata e comunque sempre raggiungibili telefonicamente. Veramente un buon servizio ad un prezzo accessibilissimo per essere in pieno centro di Firenze. Da consigliare, non rimarrete delusi!!

Bagno senza bide

La posizione è ottima, il personale molto disponibile, la pulizia impeccabile.

la camera in cui abbiamo alloggiato è sprovvista di bidet.

Stanze belle e pulite, posizione perfetta, staff gentile e disponibile...cosa chiedere di più?

Locanda bellissima! Camera carina e ben arredata, con tutto ciò che serve, calda, silenziosa e pulitissima!!! Personale simpatico..ti fanno sentire a casa!

Atención del personal y orientación turístíca incluso te suben y bajan el equipaje

La habitación es mucho mas fea y vieja que las de las imágenes,hacía frío en la habitación el agua de la ducha tenía muchísimo cloro, el desayuno en la pagina pone que se sirve en el bar d enfrente y luego te dicen que tenías que reservarlo antes y no te lo dan, es un cuarto sin ascensor de un piso viejísimo

La pulizia, la cordialità e la disponibilità della titolare sono da voto 10 e lode, se ne trovassero più spesso dei posti così puliti!!! Probabilmente all'arrivo ci si può fare un'idea sbagliata perchè l'ingresso non è dei più accoglienti, ma in fondo che importa, mica si deve dormire nel corridoio!

Kiváló elhelyezkedés! , pár perces sétával elérhető a belváros, csendes utca, tipikus firenzei szállás, szűk kis lépcső, csendes, nyugodt helyen, as szobák a 2-3 emeleten vannak, nincs lift. A parkolás a szállás környékén csak parkolóházban oldható meg ( 25-30 euró/24 óra), vagy közel 10 perces sétára ingyenes parkolóhelyeken, ahol ritkán van hely. A személyzet nem zavar, nem tartózkodik a házban és nagyon segítőkész, kedves, rugalmas.
