It was close to the railway station and also to the port.
We liked the location as it was very close to the cruise terminal. Good for a one night stay breakfast was ok but nothing special.
Location to Cruise ship
Expensive. Personally could not rate it as a four star hotel. Bath leaked flooding the bathroom. Tired and run down.
We liked our room very much, but the public areas on the main floor were especially outstanding.
There was nothing that we disliked.
Very good location.
Did not like the two-storey room with no bathroom on the upper level. Small TV. Stairs were creaky, not good during the night.
Location was convenient to rail station, and several restaurants, as well as across the street from the sea. Breakfast was great.
Nice hotel if your are going to take a cruise. Breakfast was good The town is small but cute.
For a four star hotel the room was not up to standard. Did not like the stairs between the entrance/bathroom and the bedroom
This hotel is a major avoid, with its familiar scam. This works as follows: an email from the hotel just hours before arrival advising E.G. that heavy rains have made some rooms unusable; a choice offered between a refund and a booking in another hotel (no choice at all given the importance of having a confirmed room prior to a cruise departure); and booking us in the out-of-town Hotel Brizi, a much cheaper hotel. Many checks with locals confirmed no heavy rains at all. Six other cruise passengers affected, all upset. In our case, a threat to call the police alleging that we were recording our conversation with the hotel manager (not true) and so breaking Italy's privacy laws. This might have threatened our cruise, so we 'gave in'. Avoid. Avoid.
Its location and the ease of transfer to the ship.
The room not being ready until after 4pm. Having to change rooms as the one we had was damp.
The people at the desk very helpful. the staff in the restaurant and quality of food outstanding. Would recommend this property to anyone ....
Convenience/location. We were going on a cruise the next day and hotel was within walking distance of port. Convenient for restaurants.
Read the small print before you go . Website mentioned that hotel offered shuttle bus to the port. When we arrived, the receptionist advised us of the shuttlebus and also that it cost 10 euros each. As it turned out the hotel was within walking distance of the port gate where you get a free shuttle bus to take you to your ship. Also there was a charge for wifi connection. Hotel fine but would have expected more for price paid.
Location was ideal for exploring the town and near the railway station for trips into Rome. View from the breakfast room was outstanding. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. Lots of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner.
We were very happy it was so close to the train station. It is also right on the waterfront with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Very enjoyable. The breakfast was very good.
Wheelchair accessible shower would flood the bathroom everytime we took a shower.
The hotel is in an ideal position for the cruise terminal and the train station for Rome. The staff we very helpful, efficient and friendly. The hotel has an air of "faded elegance", maybe not to everybody's taste, but we liked it.
The breakfast was basic. The bathroom was outdated, and could do with a refurbishment.
We liked the helpful staff and the easy shuttle service to the port. The building and breakfast room were very nice and the location.
We see a family of 4 and I'm the family room we had to share the sofa bed which wasn't very comfortable. A single sofa bed with a pull put would have been better for the kids and then we could have slept I upstairs.
Great location for town and waterfront. Only 5 minutes away by car to cruise terminal. Good breakfast and wifi.
Kind of small and slightly dated, but overall very good.
Proximity to port, and train station and accessibility to Rome, many restaurants in Civitavecchia, daily buffet breakfast, very clean facility, helpful staff, reasonable price for shuttle to the port
The very tiny shower stall.......
The location was superb, the view from the room was outstanding and I can't say enough about the staff, they were so courteous and efficient. Way much more than I expected.
There was nothing to dislike.
The staff were excellent very helpful nothing was to much trouble .The rooms were very clean and the sea views amazing
Location to shipping departure
old hotel, some maintenance required, cost of room compared to other areas visited in area is high due to ship departure location. Having said that it was a wise decision to stay in the area and relax the day before ship departure
We discovered the Hotel as we had stayed at another Hotel two doors down just prior to a 12 day cruise. The beach town feel of Civitavecchia appealed to us so actually came back to stay in Civitavecchia after the cruise and a two week road trip through southern Italy. We ended our vacation with a couple of days by the ocean at Hotel San Giorgio and we weren't disappointed! P.S. The air conditioning worked perfectly and best of all, wasn't noisy as most are. The location to both the Port and the train station are great!
The beds were a little too firm but then they were in most places we stayed in Italy.
Hotel was well located facing the beach and close to restaurants. The common areas of the hotel were nice. The staff was very good.
The hotel arranged for our transportation from Rome airport to the hotel. It was terrible - passengers were frightened as the woman drove the van at 140 kph while talking on her phone and passing all other vehicles. I asked her to slow down but was ignored. The contractor providing the transportation was Concordia? Do not use this contractor!! Our room was on two levels with a staircase. Bedroom upstairs, bathroom downstairs - avoid this arrangement.
Customer service was excellent Rooms were well appointed. Our room with a beautiful view Excellent stay as we were heading off on a cruise the next day. Wished we had booked to stay for one more night at the end of the cruise. Fantastic meal and breakfast was also included with good buffet selection.
