San Lio Tourist House  

very central, close to san marco. (at the same time, it's a small city). The bathroom was clean

the room was really small and the bed was not stable at all! everytime we are moving, the whole beds moves!

Pretty much everything. I can't imagine a better location. It is on a shortcut route between Rialto Bridge and San Marco Plaza. You are close to both. They were helpful and very friendly. The room was nicely cleaned and air-conditioned every day. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Nothing negative to say about the Lio House.

location,staff,silence,all are good. The breakfast was a little bit poor for the money.

I found the hotel to be quite cool actually, if you get there I think youll be as amused as I am with the lobby and arrival (youll see what I mean). The hotel is definitely great for what you are paying im not saying youll get a 5 star hotel but I think 3 stars is quite fair, the bathroom is large which is always good and having stayed in a double room, space wise is perfect. The hotel it self gives a "home" feeling since you feel more like renting a room than a hotel but its great for the price. I would although suggest changing the matresses, they dont add a nice touch. Location I think its great venice is small so distances even with luggage are not hard to do and its located fairly well as to the tourist sites one must visit. I must say though the comments about the noise are perhaps exagerated but true, since its a one floor hotel you can hear everything going on in the street but cmeon.

Room was a little small.

Location was fantastic 2 mins from relato bridge and 5 mins from St Marks square. Easy to find, watch the video and it feels strangely like you have been there already!! Not cheap but affordable by Venice standards!!

Smelt a bit damp, a guess everywhere does when you are surrounded by so much water. Air con stopped working on last night and we nearly cooked in our beds. Shame otherwise I would have given it a 'good' rating for comfort. Also shower was miniscule. Would recommend if they fix the aircon.

The room (called Diana) is too much small, you feel like being in a locker. The stairs are dirt. Besides that, the price is too high for this unpleasant room.

This hotel was in a great location. So close to everything! There was nothing super special about the place. It was small, and clean. Very basic. The bathroom/shower was super small, but worked great!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is excellent (few mins walk from the Rialto bridge).

The location to the local sights is very easy and quick to get to.

The arrival was inconvienced by the fact i had to then find the reception somewhere in a nother block elsewhere to check in. The bed sheet had not been changed and it had a blood spot on it after the maid had been in the room. The smell of damp and refuse was very unappealing as you entered the tourist house.Defiantly a budget for backpackers any way.! would not return or recommned just being honest.

Great location and safe.

Room was adequate, did the job and was what we expected. We found the shortcut at the back of the house through the back alleys which meant we could get to St Marks Square in less than 5 minutes. We got breakfast from the little coffee/icecream/bar place opposite the front door, not sure what the in-house offering was like. Knowing what we do now about Venice I would quite happily stay further out as you can walk virtually anywhere in a short time or if necessary catch a boat. Recption staff were very helpfull allowed to leave bags after checking out etc
