Score from 374 reviews Good
- The location is excellent and it's near to San Marco square and Rialto. - Comfortable and clean rooms, good facilities - Staff is excellent and friendly - Worth every penny!
- Not really easy to find the location of check-in point and the hotel at night (minor issue)
the room was clean and comfortable (double superior), the position was perfect, the staff was very kind and nice.
small bathroom, reception in another building, some damp stains on the roof.
My wife and I were not expecting much for 45 euros a night. First, we got there at 6am way before the check in time and they did there best and had our room cleaned and ready by 10am (4 hours early). The room was fantastic and very clean. They even gave us umbrellas when it rained. Couldn't more highly recommend this place. Location also great!
Clean and cozy room at the center of the city.
Double size bed was two separate beds put together. Not really comfortable for couple.
There are no signs save the small plaque on the door, so the entrance is hard to find. Also, you check in at a different, hard to find hotel around several corners from San Lio. The breakfast, if you choose that option, is served at the check-in location not at the San Lio. I only saw the staff on check-in and check-out since I did not choose breakfast. Other than that, I never saw anyone. Venice is a labyrinth and most hotels are hard to find, most hotels do not have a lift either so San Lio is not unusual in this. The room was small, as advertised with only a large mirror and a tiny desk/side table and the bed. It did have a mini bar and a safe, a towel warmer and great sound proof windows which is absolutely necessary for Venice. There is no staff at the San Lio; all the staff are at the check-in hotel, so don't look for a concierge or bellman! Small coffee shop just outside has the best coffee and whole wheat croissants I've ever had!! Location is good, close to Rialto bridge; but finding it is a challenge.
Bathroom was tiny and I could never get the A/C to work so I had to open the windows for air circulation. You can't sleep with windows open however because of the street noise.
The room was clean and internet was working.
The hotel is simply not suitable for families with small kids. There was no pantry/kitchenette even in the whole hotel. We were unable to warm milk for our baby.
Noise from street
location was perfect for venice. lots of shops/restaurants/ice cream around.
rooms where nothing compared to what the website shows. they only have one good room (the one with the red). the rest is like Harry Potters closet.
There was construction going on at the time of our stay so noisy mornings.
There was a trying time spent trying to find this hotel, and when we did, after negotiating steps and bridges with kuggage,in Venice, we had to backtrack to register at another location. The hair dryer was broken. The bedroom was very tiny.
The room was very clean. The location is perfect. Very quiet during the night, so you can sleep well. Staff is very nice and willing to help.
The room is very small. You have no view, just the wall of the next building.
The location was excellent and the air conditioning was strong.
The hotel was pricey given the size of the room and the accommodations. The double bed was actually two single beds put together, and they would begin to separate during the night. A simple connecting strip would have sufficed.
A central location Very close to Riatlo Bridge and St. Marks Square. Hotel is secure
As the streets are so narrow and short, it was difficult to find Not great if you have a pram or a wheelchair as many steps to access to location of hotel
The manager was pleasant and the breakfast was good .
The rooms were very small and cramped , I was aware that we had booked the economy rooms but they should make this clear on the web site they the rooms are VERY Basic . Next time will spend the extra money .
Great location Nice decor
We got a standard double room. It was clean and nice but no view. We checked in late at night (about 22h30) and the staff was helpful and nice. You do have to check in another location (hotel) because there is no reception at the hotel building. But the receptionist welcomed us by video and guided us. The service was good. We had planned to stay 2 nights and by the second day we decided to stay one more night. We stayed the first night at San Lio and the two others nights at Ca' Bragadin (where the reception is) in a "suite". So they change one night at San Lio for one night in Ca' Bragadin. Good location. It was not exactly cheap but nothing is in Venice
There are size and quality differences between the rooms so pay attention when booking your room. The room was a little bit noisy (thin walls).
Location was great, few minutes from Rialto. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Checking in and out from some other place than the hotel. They could send somebody to this place rather asking people to get to the other hotel to check in/out.
check-in and check-out were very fast and uncomplicated. very kind receptionist. great location. I loved the little balcony our room had. the price-performance ratio is great.
the bed was a bit shaky. when one of us moved, it started swaying as if there was an earthquake.
In the heart of the city close to main attractions, good osterias and great bars and yet very little noise! Had trouble finding it several times depending on route taken but never a problem. Bathroom spotless with a good shower and nice fluffy towels. Good place for breakfast just a minutes walk away.
Very small room with no in room hot drink facilities although hot drinks were available in the morning from the reception room.
After a weeks cruise we arrived in Venice where I pre booked this hotel, we had a free day in venice before returning in one week so we decided to find the hotel so we knew where we were going. WELL, after asking numerous people and locals and showing the booking details, no one could tell us where to go, we also went into another hotel to ask, when the kind receptionist called the hotel for us several times, there was no answer, so we set off looking again to no avail. We spent all our free time looking for this hotel. As I was not well I contacted the hotel once back on the ship to cancel the booking for our upcoming night the next week explaining the circumstances, and would like a refund as I would not be able to carry my luggage such distance over uneven paths up and down steps, as I was unwell and still couldn't find the hotel, fair enough I thought! I was shocked to receive an email back assuming we didn't even try to call. My suggestion and many others read further into the comments befor making bookings to this hotel.
The rooms was cleaned every day and really confortable. The location is really good.
The internet is expensive and only one device could be used at the same time. So, if you will be in a room with 2 or more people, it could be a problem.
been there for one day.. it's in the very center and clean. the receptionist is nice and good service. cheap.
small room, tiny bathroom, dark and the food and drinks in the minibar are expired.. the check in/out is not in the same building.
Close to everything and well priced
Uncomfortable bed and general condition of bedroom. Clean, for the most part, but a little tiered
We were given a complimentary room upgrade because of availability. Location was spot on, in the heart of Venice.
There wasn't free wifi access in the room.
