Located in San Rocco a Pilli and selling its own organic products. Agriturismo Vigliano is 8 km of Siena, all properties have views of the garden, outdoor furniture and a private entrance.
Score from 7 reviews Wonderful
Hotel More di Cuna is set in beautifully restored, mediaeval farm buildings 13 km from Siena. The property features a spacious garden and characteristic Tuscan décor and furnishings.
Score from 96 reviews Excellent
Surrounded by 220 hectares of private land in the Tuscan countryside, the family-run Fattoria Di Cavaglioni is set in a 16th-century fortress.
Score from 16 reviews Very good
too old, rooms not prepared, old smell, cold
The area, the buildings of the resort and the independency of the rooms/apartments.
The variety of the breakfast was not renewed.
We spent one night at the San Lorenzo a Linari Resort & Beauty Farm and wished it had been at least two. Originally slightly put off by the second half of the name, San Lorenzo is actually an interesting and historical property. Halfway between a rich farm and a grand country house, it is attractively furnished with antiques and represents excellent value for money. We were given a small but charming room on the top floor (no lift, but shallow stairs) and adequate small shower bathroom. There were views over the gardens from two sides of our room. Breakfast was outside by the pool - entirely adequate but not special. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and interested in the history of the property (it was designed by a well-known architect and was once used as a convent). Our only regret was that on the night we arrived the local restaurant was closed, so we were sent to a pizzeria restaurant a little further afield which was not fantastic. We would hope to visit San Lorenzo again, and for longer - taking care to arrive on a night when the nearer restaurant would be open.
Lovely area, pretty quiet. Staff at breakfast very friendly.
The room smelt as if it had been unused, and not aired out for some time. Not very well sign posted.
Picturesque location. The 2bedroom apartment was enormous, with lots of extras to add to the feel of the accomodation. great facilities and helpful staff.
Were not able to get oven working
The place seems to be great. Pictures hide non professional owners and staff.
The front desk staff is lazy, bad humors and did not give you any useful information. One day the breakfast coffee machine is broken, on the other day you ask for two coffee. On checkout they ask you to pay the second coffee at breakfast with no warning that is not free. Leave your room keys always with you, because front desk closes and you will be out of your room, without previous notice of that! No information at all. No wifi connection out of front desk. People there DON'T know how to run a professional business. I felt like being part of a comedy Italian movie!
Great place to travel to nearby towns. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful grounds.
Internet was intermittent
views and building were stunning
cafe/bar was not attended regularly.
Very nice place, good location, , nice & helpful staff, good breakfast, good size swimming-pool. very good price. Highly recommended.
Rooms are not cleaned during the stay.
The location: very close to Sienna, perfect to visit the various sightseeing attractions in Toscana (still count 1-2 hours depending on where you want to go). The place itself: beautiful building. A few tables outside of the aprtments make it possible to have have brkfst / lunch / dinner oustide. Big pool for the children.
Room: very noisy (very poor noise isolation) -> could hear every step from people upstairs. Children room very (very) small and narrow (2 single beds opposite to each other. Hardly any storage possibility for clothes (antique furniture allows only very little space). I guess that all depends on the room you get (means you may get lucky or not). General: Some of the staff not really friendly and speaking very poor English. Mistakes on the invoice (e.g. additional change of bed sheets, extra towels at pool whioch all did not take place, fortunately corrected). Pool: could be cleaned more often (or the pump circulation increased) as the water was not clean after a few days. Quite a lot of clover in the grass aorund the pool, which brings quite a number of bees (making bare foot walking for children quite a challenge sometimes). Internet (WiFi) supposedly available (only around reception) but most often did not work or was saturated by the few guests who unseccessfully tried to access Internet. Some prices rather on the highest range (10 EUR per hour to use the Tennis court, even if you bring your own material).
Hard to find, but absolutely stunning when you do find it! Stunning grounds and great location just outside Siena. Didn't want to check out.
Location was great.
Water in pool was too cold, stuff were not nice, they didn't give any advice on where to go, what to see nearby. Breakfast was poor and the same every single day
San Lorenzo a Linari is as near to perfection as it ever possible. This place is in a fair competition with Paradise. At least I hope that the paradise will be as serene, beauteous and comfortable as Linari.
Cleaniness not at its best
A wonderful place to relax with children after a visit of Sienna
It was a bit cold in the appartment
I would not call our room cosy. Large old furniture like right from the 17th century. Cold floor (not for families with a baby). It was cold in the night (end of May). No restaurants provided in place so you have to go by car to some restaurants or product shops in Siena area. Personnaly for me it is hard to be without wi-fi in the room. Wi-fi was only in lobby area which is in my case 50 meters walk outside the building. After having 5 nights here we decided that we prefer regular hotels in more sociable oriented places with at least food shops in the neighborhood.
Lovely location, amazing apartment. Lots of room. Very close to Siena. Staff helpful.
No restaurant, only breakfast room. Directions very difficult to follow, signage small.
Our apartment was lovely, simply but tastefully furnished all very clean. The whole place was beautiful with lovely architectural features and statues. Somewhere you could easily waste a few hours on a nice day. The breakfast was also very nice. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
There were a lot of steepish stairs to our room so wouldn't have been great for someone less able. There was a kennel in the distance where dogs were constantly barking. This unfortunately broke the tranquility. I meant to ask but once out of our room this was quickly forgotten.
