very central in the city, very good staff, perfect location

A bit too much noise as everybody had to pass our room for the central entrance

The hotel is very convenient for walking around the historic centre of Bergamo and for the funicular to St Vigilio

Unfortunately our room's window was next to the 'temporary' walkway to the reception and therefore we could not open it.

The location of the hotel was excellent, the old city of Bergamot is normally a nightmare to get into and park; this hotel is very well located. The breakfast, unusually for an Italian hotel, was excellent.

The hotel was decent, clean and everything it should be - but it had been unsympathetically constructed within the shell of a fine old building. The outside looked great, the rooms within were beige, anodyne and rather clinical.

Location is great for Citta Alta, everything is walking distance

Would have liked to be able to make a hot drink somewhere (as an avid English tea drinker!)

San Lorenzo was a lovely hotel, in the centre of the old city old Bergamo, the staff at the desk were really nice and informative, the room was small but really well equipped with a balcony overlooking the 'gardens', parking was free outside the hotel because the hotel provided us with a ticket to put in our car , a real bonus. Altogether a lovely stay, we wish we had been able to stay longer!

Friendly, helpful staff. Room had all we needed. Central position near public transport. By national chain standards in UK room smallish, but good sized bathroom.

Room very clean, and lovely to have a mini bar which wasn't too expensive, as there was no bar in the hotel. Staff very helpful and the buffet breakfast was good quality.

A lot of corridors and not really any opportunities to meet other travellers. As there were few other facilities, the cost was a little high.

The staff were unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located and our room had a balcony overlooking the mountains, which was fabulous. It is in the centre of town but very quiet and peaceful.

noisy reception as first room was close to reception, a lot of loud conversation very early in the morning, had to change room because of this.
