The owner was very helpful, location was close enough to the train station and the centre of Rome.

Bit tricky to find and breakfast was basic

It is very clean and the family that runs it is very friendly. It is close to the main train station Termini.

If you are a light sleeper, you are not going to sleep very well, the walls are pretty thin.

San Lorenzo Rooms was just what we were looking for. It was well priced, the owner was was friendly and accommodating, it was smart and clean and it was near the railway station (albeit the other side from Rome's main attractions). We would return.

The building is old, but inside it's all new. The room was big and comfortable, as was the bed. There was a little fridge, which was really useful, and working air conditioning. The private bathroom with shower was great as well. The owner was very nice. Very quiet.

We stayed here for five days (4 nights) and the towels weren't changed during the whole stay. Every day we left the towels on the bathroom floor, as it's done in every hotel, for the service to change them. But they NEVER did. They just picked the dirty towels up from the floor and put them on the hangers. We couldn't find anyone to ask for new ones in the evening, because there's only one person working there and he's not there all the time. Every day, breakfast consisted on coffee and a croissant. The way to the hotel feels a bit unsafe after 9-10pm. Dark streets and nobody around other than homeless people, although we didn't have any problem.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at San Lorenzo Rooms. The room itself was compact but extremely clean and comfortable with a TV and refrigerator in the room and an excellent air-conditioning system which was much needed in the intense heat we experienced whilst in Rome. The owner was the perfect host, happy to help and always available up to about 7pm each evening. His advice and directions were excellent, especially his recommendation to visit Villa d'Este on our final day. He showed us this beautiful villa on his laptop and then left us extensive directions and travel information which were spot on and made our final memories of Rome very special ones. We will definitely return to San Lorenzo Rooms!

The location could be a bit daunting to get back to late at night due to the amount of people sleeping on the streets around the train station and on the road down to the accommodation. We preferred to take the bottom road after dark and experienced no problems at all during our stay.

Bed comfort. Fair price. Clean room. Kind host.

Breakfast is not breakfast, only a small croissant. Loud noise in early morning in corridor and in evening on the street. Very small rooms.

Very central to train station and majority of major attractions, hotel owner was very helpful and friendly and communicated very well.

Was in an area of town with a no of homeless folk, had no issues with them at all though, also a wee bit hard to find the place, got there in the end though.
