With air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, the Hotel San Marco also features a swimming pool. Lucca’s marvelous walls and Porta San Jacopo are a short walk away. Parking is free.

Offering rooms, self-catering apartments and a city shuttle service, the newly built Giada Palace is set outside Lucca's historic city walls in a peaceful residential area.

Location - short walk to the old part of Lucca. Pool is a nice to have, but the parking is the highlight.
Wi-fi was up and down a bit and you can hear the people in rooms above and below.
Location - it is close to everything and if you have a car, is one of the few places in Lucca with parking. Pool was very nice. Could not fault the staff - they were available and always helpful.
Noise - the room above was an old couple who seemed to get up every few hours to use the toilet and you can hear it all.
Great location within easy walking distance of the walls. A few shops very near to the place so very handy. The accommodation is excellent. Very well kept, modern, clean and very comfortable. Everything you need. It's brilliant. Can't rate it enough. Wish we stayed longer! It was like our little home.
We loved everything about our stay here. Perfect location, lovely and very helpful owners and an added bonus was the lovely pool area. If we had to find fault it would only be a small one. We would have liked a toaster. But we managed without one. We would recommend San Marco Holiday to anyone travelling to Lucca. We will definately book there again for our future stays in Lucca.
The apartment is only around 5 minutes walk to the walled city. There are small shops, bakery, take away food cafe very nearby. The apartment is very clean and fully equipped kitchen. The owners were very helpful and friendly, the wi fi was good. The pool looked nice although we did not use it. We would certainly recommend San Marco Holidays .
Room spacious and spotlessly clean; large comfortable bed & pillows. Staff extremely helpful; if you need something extra just ask. Sky tv with some channels and film available in English (press i and switch to originale). Small secluded swimming pool. Location is within 10 minutes walking distance of Lucca walls. Bicycles available and enjoyed cycling and walking around the walled embankments. Lovely deli Marco Polo across the street with great food selection and lovely staff with great patience. It was a great alternative to cooking and was cheaper than eating out all the time.
Residential streets, constant traffic and poor pedestrian links to Lucca centre. Footpaths are terrible, uneven, mostly unsurfaced, high kerbs at entrances, some dog dirt, poor lighting; wheelchair users have to use the road. Accommodation has no lift to upper floors. Could do with more lighting especially for reading at night. Much of the information on the San Marco website is in Italian only and it is difficult to establish exactly what facilities are provided (but you can always email them directly)
location, room, pool, friendly and helpful staff
wifi a little slow
The apartments are spacious and clean. Small kitchen is perfect for storing food and drinks and making tea and coffee. Wifi was very good. The airconditioner worked well and the tv had a couple of English channels. Staff were very welcoming. The pool was a great option on hot days. Located only a 10 minute walk to the city walls.
A lovely place to stay, a couple of extra pillows would be welcome. Extra sun lounges by the pool are needed, people were lying on the ground due to lack of comfortable seating.
Free bikes where great to discover Lucca, BVN (sattelite tv for dutch people is a plus)
Excellent apartment, great bathroom/shower, large comfortable bed. Kitchen not really suitable for cooking a meal but fine for breakfast and lunch. Small but adequate pool area. Short walk to the walls of Lucca.
The apartment was very clean, practical and had everything we needed. We liked the modern, no-fuss interior and the way the rooms are organised to give both space and privacy. The pool is a welcome option with plenty of sun loungers available (the water was freezing!). Poolside towels are provided and the staff are all very helpful and always on hand to help you out if you need anything. There is a short walk to the walls of Lucca and you will be provided with a helpful map and there is a booklet in the apartment on recommended places to eat and drink. The shops, places of interest, cafes and restaurants are all easy to reach but you do need to be prepared to do a lot of walking. There is a large supermarket about 5 mins drive away. If you don’t have a car there are a couple of shops across the road where you can pick up lovely bread and ready-made meals. There is also a cafe. We had a great time – the drive to Bagni di Lucca to ‘devils bridge’ was amazing and it is only a 20 minute drive to Viareggio.
Nothing to dislike
All of it, everything was spot on, super place with top attentive staff. I stay in many hotels and this is as good as it gets! perfecto!
- Lucca is a great city: not too many tourists and the shops are affordable and interesting. Not the usual Guccis and LVs. There's a good vibe inside the city walls. - Position is excellent for a visit to Pisa and the sea in Versilia. - Free parking next to the appartment was comfy - The rooms were super clean and well equipped with air conditioning to top it off. The rooftop terrace was a great place to hangout in the evening and the pool was a nice place to chill at on a lazy sunday. - The staff was so friendly. - The wi-fi worked great (expect during a sudden storm) and didn't need any registration unlike in some other places - The price was very affordable.
Staff. Good noise insulation. New facility with good quality.
Very clean, great service. Close to historic centre.
Great location to walk the old Lucca.room perfect.did not use small pool.owners very helpful
Very nice, clean appartment. Shops nearby. Short walking distance to the center of Lucca. Very frienly staff with an excellent sense for hospitability.
It was perfect for me clean everything worked location was good. Excellent.
The best quality for best price, we like everything, definitely we recommend everyone take this hotel.
Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Very helpful and serviceminded. The apartments were clean and everything looked new. Spacious rooms with great facilities. A butcher and bakery lies across the street and it's only a short walk (5 min.) to the city walls of Lucca. It was a wonderful town for a 2 day visit and the people were all very nice. A nice 4 km run on the city walls is a good option for exercise. We had a wonderful time and would stay at San Marco Holidays again if/when we return to Lucca:-)
Nothing bad to say about this place. Just don't expect to be in the center of town. Stay in Lucca instead of Pisa. Make Pisa a one-day visit.
The place was clean. Staff very friendly.
Very comfortable. A nice comfortable bed (it's important for me). Near to the walls of Lucca. Very clean. Friendly stuff. Well equipped kitchen.
A little noisy working ventilator in the toilet.
The apartments are modern, colorful, cheerful and very comfortable. They are quiet and clean. They also have free WiFi and hundreds of international channels. Have a pool with sun loungers and towels and free parking at the entrance. Very good location, because the apartments are very close to one of the main gateways to the old city. The staff is excellent: they are very friendly and are pending that everything is perfect for the customer. You can have a bike in front of the apartments (highly recommended to know the city).
All the staff were very nice and Extreemly helpful. The room was spotless and spacious. The kitchenette was great to have. The location was about 1/3 of a mile from the inner city of Lucca. It felt like we were living among the locals.
No breakfast, but there was a café nearby
