San Max Hotel  

Everything is perfect about San Max! By far the best hotel I've ever lived in. The sweet breakfast is delicious, the rooms are comfortable with nice beds, bathroom and a big tv with international channels. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to everyone!

People were very friendly and helpful in giving us directions and making phone calls for us as well as letting us keep our luggage after we checked out.

Our room was very spacious and brightly decorated. The bathroom was larger than average. There was a large lovely covered terrace; pity we did not have time to enjoy it. The hotel is only 10 - 20 minutes walk away from the major attractions and shops. I would certainly be visiting this hotel again!!

The outside of the hotel looks like a bomb hit it - permanently closed shutters and damaged walls. However inside it's a different story. The reception area is bright clean and well decorated. Our room was huge airy and altogether very acceptable. Breakfast was varied and satisfying. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

VVery nice hotel,I aworrived at midnight and had a great help from the hotel staff,clean room,excellent breakfast and a very good location.

Location is Ok, but house numbering at via Etnea is not contiguous, look map first :) Adequate service, simple breakfast.

WiFi does not work at 1st floor, only at the lobby. Wired room internet has no use with iPad.

It is advertised as a 3 Star hotel, but I would rate it as a 3Star ++. The hotel main entrance is on the main street and is not shared with others. Reception is 24x7. The hotel is very clean and staff is very helpful. The hotel daily offers free of charge a small alcoholic drink, as well as small bottle of water. Balcony doors are fitted with sound reduction double glazing and so the noise of the traffic within the room is quite low.

Location was good. Front desk staff was friendly and provided excellent help and support for a memorable trip to mount Etna.

Most of the front desk staff were handicapped due to their inability to communicate in English. There were two air-conditioners in the room but the room was very cold in the night. The staff did not understand English and could not fix the problem.

The hotel is situated in the central street of the city and all interesting points are within walking distance. The service very friendly, the rooms exceptionally good for a three star - all from design in the bathroom to comfort of the bed. The breakfast included has all I need in the morning and the location is a 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral Square, but on the main street. Will definitely come back again.

Great big rooms, friendly staff and very reasonably priced

The breakfast was below average. The fruit was old and all the croissants were horrible and sweet

Located just at the main street Etnea - near to everything. Perfectly made rooms. Perfectly clean. Staff is very helpful and polite. Breakfast is good but mainly sweets. It is impossible to find another hotel of this quality for this money. Big bathroom with water-massage shower. Big lcd tv, balcony in each room. Just perfect. When I read the reviews I thought it was too good to be true, but it really is a surprisingly good hotel. Strongly recommended!

Just the wireless connection is poor at the second floor. Please Max, upgrade the access point! I will come back there to check :)

Friendly Cuban staff. Bathroom facilities very high standards. Very spacious room.
