The 4-star Weber Ambassador overlooks the bay of Marina Piccola and the Faraglioni rocks. It has a free shuttle to/from Capri center, and free access to its 3 pools, 2 hot tubs and fitness center.
Score from 655 reviews Very good
Everything at the Relais Maresca boasts a typical Capri style: the rooms with Vietri tiles, its beachfront position, the panoramic terrace with views of Mount Vesuvius, the excellent cuisine.
Score from 198 reviews Very good
Admire the view of the Gulf of Naples at Hotel Jaccarino. The hotel provides a shuttle service to Sorrento, but you may choose to simply relax at the pool.
Score from 183 reviews Very good
Villa Hibiscus offers apartments with views out over the Amalfi Coast from its hilltop position in Positano. It offers a private beach with lounge chairs and sun umbrellas, reached by an elevator.
Score from 4 reviews Excellent
great food, location, and service.
The bathroom had a bathtub that was so small you could bared stand in it. For a hotel of this quality, the bathtub as a disappointment.
The location, and view from the patio near the entrance.
Tiny bathroom, difficult to get into the shower between bidet and toilet.
The sunrise out of the huge window on top of the mountain was spectacular, as was the moon over the marina each night.
We had to leave
Location. Hotel beautifully furnished. Hotel room spacious.
Cold scrambled eggs!
I booked the expensive room of the hotel and i think it's worth it for the view and the balcony but ok for just a day.
as expensive as a top hotel in London Hong Kong or New York at peak season
Scrumptious breakfast. Spacious comfortable room with fantastic view of Marina Grande, Capri. Helpful, friendly staff. Great location, walking distance from Anacapri with plentiful shops and good restaurants. Bus stop just outside hotel.
Having to pay for towels and sun loungers around the poolside.
We had a room with the best view of Capri. No words to describe it. The rooms were clean but a little outdated but the view made up for it. Apart from this we had an excellent stay. The hotel is situated minutes away from Anacapri and the bus stop. Try to have a room with a view
The one thing that could be improved is the quality of breakfast. We had a wide variety but the quality wasn't great.
Nice big pool and garden area. Great view of the sea from the breakfast room. Big bedroom. Shuttle service
For the price we paid I was expecting a luxury hotel but what we got wasn't do luxurious. Rooms were old and musty. You need to pay for a sunbed and towel at the pool despite paying a fortune to stay in the hotel.
Stay there if you can get a deal staff helpful breakfast was yummy! view was amazing town of Anacapri walking distance comfortable bed Has the potential for a 4 star hotel
Hotel needs TLC. Outdated. Paid a decent amount of money for a view room. While has potential of 4 star, not there yet( our rating was 3.5) Two of the lampshades in the room stained. Shower is claustrophobic. Blue flooring leading up to room needs repair.
Just the view.
We have asked for iron but they didn't have it. We had to go out for dinner with creased shirt and trouser. The guy at the desk was not helpful at all. They way he spoke to us was not nice at all. Not going to stay there again.
Loved the style of hotel the location the town on annacapri and the whole island.
Having to leave
Pool was fine but for a hotel of this price it seems to be a shame to charge for the dechchairs and for the towels!?
So many deficiances like : the door to the terrace opened only half such as the door to the bathroom. Water in the shower flew over, water in the toilet did not stop running, the room was so small that when one wanted to get dressed the other one had to leave(we thought!) dining room terrible: outside the tables were not prepared and you were not allowed to sit there for breakfast or for dinner, everything in the room was in a condition that highly needed refurbishing. Thus the price was too high compared to what the standard was.
Service minded personal. Friendly staff. Nice view. Nice pool. Near to anacapri city.
Bad cleaning. Not god breakfast. You have to pay for your sun chair and also reservate.
I liked the location.
Cleanliness; Comfort: Facilities; value for money
The view was amazing, the pool was very clean and kept ordered, house cleaning was thorough and efficient, the breakfast was excellent especially the flat whites made by Kataldo the handsome barista, always a good selection of foods, the shuttle ran very regularly and the bus route was outside the hotel or just a short walk to the centre of Ana Capri. The hotel was central to the whole island, with fabulous walks to the summit, the light houses, castles and Grotto Azzurra. The room was spacious and the balcony was the best.
The Wifi was very inconsistent and patchy, not to be relied upon. The shower curtain concept could be improved and the shower/bath was small and slippery to get in and out.
Fantastic view from the terrace of hotel!
Rooms really very terrible, view from my room to water pump station, noise all day and night. Nice location with very uncomfortable hotel!
The only good thing about this hotel was the spectacular view. Whilst the shuttle service was adequate, it needed to be run more regularly.
Our experience at the Hotel San Michele ruined our time in Capri. To start with, our room was no-where near 4* standard. The decor is anythin but "elegant and modern," with dated and stained furniture. The area around the shower was covered in black mould and a squashed dead fly was left on our wall for the duration of our 3 day stay. We could not believe the condition of the room for the price we were paying and complained. The member of staff did not apologise once for the state of the hotel, but sent someone to fix our lightbulb in the bathroom. We were told he would be there in 5 minutes, however one hour later there was no sign of him. Their solution for the black mould was to PAINT over it. Our room now smelt of paint for the next few days! A full ashtray was also left outside on our balcony. Breakfast was limited and the tablecloths were stained. We were given kitchen towel for serviettes - not what you expect in a 4* hotel! At the end of our stay we asked for a reciept. The member of staff (who we assume was the manager) insisted that we had been given one and that we in the wrong. We then had to wait an hour to get a replacement. To finish off we then use the free shuttle service, but to our surprise we used an employees car, which had no seat belts and he was using his mobile phone whilst driving. We both felt this was highly dangerous and unprofessional of him.
Wonderful view in the highest location of the Island. Very good breakfast with the best view of Capri! The hotel has a shuttle minivan free of charge.
Far away from the big port. The ride with taxis costs so much. The hotel's shuttle is only until 17:00.
We had booked the hotel through booking.com, and confirmed it. When we arrived we were told that 'unfortunately they did not have a room, since some other guests departure dates had been mixed up'. We were put in a neighbouring 3 star hotel, where aircon was extra charged, and the "seaview" was out towards a scruffy backyard, although the sea could be seen in the distance. We were offered a dinner, and to use their pool, but San Michele charged us the full price of their room despite putting us in the other. Overall very bad experience.
The town of Anacapri is lovely, and some of the views are quite nice.
Wifi did not work from our room, especially on the balcony. The rooms are very old, and tiny. Our a/c only worked on the last day. The bathroom is so small you can't open the door properly. The bathroom only had a shower (sea view room) our friends booked a cheaper garden view room and their room was bigger and a bath in the bathroom. The clientele is elderly so not good for ambience and not a good vibe. Pool is accessible for guests however the pool charge guests for towels and sun beds. So you have to use your own towels and lie on the grass. When paying over 200 euros for a room you expect this included. The breakfast was mediocre and eggs were cold and bacon looked like it had been sitting there for ages. Beds were hard with a plastic protector over blanket. Pillows were very cheap (Dacron filled) and not at all luxurious. Definitely not 4 star, I would give it a two star based only on views. Pictures on internet are not realistic at all. Bed spreads are probably close to 30 years old!!
The hotel was dirty. Room was very small. We couldn't even fit two pieces of luggage w/o stacking them on top of eachother. Wifi didn't work at night. The staff wasn't very informative.
I did not like anything about this hotel
The grounds are lovely with the trees and flowers. I had a balcony overlooking the sea and pool. The staff are lovely .You get what you pay for. Small bus getting to the ferry and capri town had a wonderful Tony Bennett look alike driver who smiles all the time
The surly not helpfuil barman . He needs a different vocation
The location, the seaview, the free shuttle service to the harbour, the food, the swimming pool, the garden, the common areas in the hotel.
We took a classic double room, which had a higher price than the standard and comfort rooms, and yet we found the size of the room and bathroom was small. Also, there were many insects in the room (many spiders, ants, mosquitoes) and snails, which was too bad even for a two star hotel. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes and even towels. Other negative sides were the lack of soap holder in the sink and shower, lack of trashbin in the room, the hand towels were too thin and did not look like towels, the lack of complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues etc. The shower gel needed to be requested at some point. The price of the food in the bars was too high and higher than the price shown in the menu.
I actually loved the location. It wasn't a super busy touristy area and in the middle of my two favorite spots: Capri and Faro beach - both just a short bus ride away (€1,80). I also won't deny that the view is great and the pool is very large.
Everything else. It's a "classy" hotel with hard uncomfortable beds, shower that doesn't drain well, HORRENDOUS wifi, unfriendly reception staff - unless you are Italian. Too many locals using the pool. Breakfast was not appetizing, fruit choice was bad. Lunch and dinner are overpriced, you can get better stuff if you make a left when you walk out and walk up to the Piazza. One night we stayed out late and came back hungry but just wanted a sandwich, the guy at reception sends us to the bar saying we can get one there. At the bar they then tell us the kitchen has already closed... Thanks for the wild goose chase. I do not recommend this place and even if they offered me a free stay, I would not return!
