Start your day with a rich breakfast buffet, complete with Italian pastries, while admiring the view across the Amalfi Coast; the perfect way to wake up in Positano.

Offering panoramic sea views, Hotel Mary is on the coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in Vico Equense.
Score from 201 reviews Very good
The 4-star Weber Ambassador overlooks the bay of Marina Piccola and the Faraglioni rocks. It has a free shuttle to/from Capri center, and free access to its 3 pools, 2 hot tubs and fitness center.
Score from 707 reviews Very good
Everything at the Relais Maresca boasts a typical Capri style: the rooms with Vietri tiles, its beachfront position, the panoramic terrace with views of Mount Vesuvius, the excellent cuisine.
Score from 233 reviews Very good
the location is fantastic se well as the view. We had the best room on the top with a terrace - unfortunately we practicaly could not use it because of the wind.
Although they pretend to offer the transfer from the port they dont. We travelled by bus but it was not a pleasant experience. In our guidebook there was written that the island is free of cars - its a mockery! Cars and busses are on every corner, nobody goes on its own.
the attitude from the staff
The hotel is very Grand. Marble Staircase, Antiques, Charm. Room was Ok and in room facilities were good. Breakfast was great with heaps of choices and a great view. located only minutes from shops / Restaurants / sightseeing. Bus stop just outside to take you to Capri Centre. Only eight minutes from best Gelato on Isle of Capri!
Front desk staff were a bit 'cold', but nothing else wrong
The location of the Hotel & the exterior of the Hotel are great. The staff were friendly
The interior of the room was shocking for a 4 start hotel. The bathroom were extremely outdate. The beds very uncomfortable. The sheets and blankets not very hygienic and unattractive. The furniture outdates from a 70's look. Overall very disappointed as it is a beautiful building that needs an update from the 70's to the decade.
EVERYTHING! The best location on the island. Magnificent panoramic views Excellent breakfast great staff
i liked everything
Location View The bed itself was great compared to other hotels nearby
Building is sort of falling apart Staff not the most helpful considering it is a 4 star hotel
great food, location, and service.
The bathroom had a bathtub that was so small you could bared stand in it. For a hotel of this quality, the bathtub as a disappointment.
The location was perfect. The hotel has a great view of the island and the Bay of Naples, and is an easy walk to Anacapri town, or to transit for other locations around the isle. It was a comfortable place to spend the night and set a home base.
For the price, we were surprised to see so many maintenance issues from clogged shower drains, to burnt out lights, peeling paint, moldy pool umbrellas, stained linens and tattered upholstery. The staff also wasn't often helpful in making recommendations for things to do outside of the hotel. It felt as though they wanted you to stay on their property and so wouldn't tell you about any restaurants nearby, etc.
The location, and view from the patio near the entrance.
Tiny bathroom, difficult to get into the shower between bidet and toilet.
The sunrise out of the huge window on top of the mountain was spectacular, as was the moon over the marina each night.
We had to leave
Location. Hotel beautifully furnished. Hotel room spacious.
Cold scrambled eggs!
I booked the expensive room of the hotel and i think it's worth it for the view and the balcony but ok for just a day.
as expensive as a top hotel in London Hong Kong or New York at peak season
Scrumptious breakfast. Spacious comfortable room with fantastic view of Marina Grande, Capri. Helpful, friendly staff. Great location, walking distance from Anacapri with plentiful shops and good restaurants. Bus stop just outside hotel.
Having to pay for towels and sun loungers around the poolside.
We had a room with the best view of Capri. No words to describe it. The rooms were clean but a little outdated but the view made up for it. Apart from this we had an excellent stay. The hotel is situated minutes away from Anacapri and the bus stop. Try to have a room with a view
The one thing that could be improved is the quality of breakfast. We had a wide variety but the quality wasn't great.
Location good, regular buses take you to Capri and Marina Grange. Views over bay amazing, Balcony was a great size and pool enormous!
The staff. The man who let us check in early was fine, but everyone else ignored us - even good morning at breakfast seemed too much. Staff were far more interested in laying table for lunch/dinner than creating any sort of friendly atmosphere at breakfast, which runs until 10.30am. We went down at 9.45 on the last day and got some dirty looks as they banged about on the tables around us - we were glad not to be the couple who dared to sit at a table set for lunch! Bathroom really dated, shower floods floor. The hotel also has a ridiculous policy of charging guests 6 euros for a sun lounger and parasol at the pool. There are deck chairs, which we used one afternoon, but surely if you've spent a good chunk of money to stay, such things should be included!
Nice big pool and garden area. Great view of the sea from the breakfast room. Big bedroom. Shuttle service
For the price we paid I was expecting a luxury hotel but what we got wasn't do luxurious. Rooms were old and musty. You need to pay for a sunbed and towel at the pool despite paying a fortune to stay in the hotel.
Stay there if you can get a deal staff helpful breakfast was yummy! view was amazing town of Anacapri walking distance comfortable bed Has the potential for a 4 star hotel
Hotel needs TLC. Outdated. Paid a decent amount of money for a view room. While has potential of 4 star, not there yet( our rating was 3.5) Two of the lampshades in the room stained. Shower is claustrophobic. Blue flooring leading up to room needs repair.
Just the view.
We have asked for iron but they didn't have it. We had to go out for dinner with creased shirt and trouser. The guy at the desk was not helpful at all. They way he spoke to us was not nice at all. Not going to stay there again.
Loved the style of hotel the location the town on annacapri and the whole island.
Having to leave
Pool was fine but for a hotel of this price it seems to be a shame to charge for the dechchairs and for the towels!?
So many deficiances like : the door to the terrace opened only half such as the door to the bathroom. Water in the shower flew over, water in the toilet did not stop running, the room was so small that when one wanted to get dressed the other one had to leave(we thought!) dining room terrible: outside the tables were not prepared and you were not allowed to sit there for breakfast or for dinner, everything in the room was in a condition that highly needed refurbishing. Thus the price was too high compared to what the standard was.
Service minded personal. Friendly staff. Nice view. Nice pool. Near to anacapri city.
Bad cleaning. Not god breakfast. You have to pay for your sun chair and also reservate.
I liked the location.
Cleanliness; Comfort: Facilities; value for money
The view was amazing, the pool was very clean and kept ordered, house cleaning was thorough and efficient, the breakfast was excellent especially the flat whites made by Kataldo the handsome barista, always a good selection of foods, the shuttle ran very regularly and the bus route was outside the hotel or just a short walk to the centre of Ana Capri. The hotel was central to the whole island, with fabulous walks to the summit, the light houses, castles and Grotto Azzurra. The room was spacious and the balcony was the best.
The Wifi was very inconsistent and patchy, not to be relied upon. The shower curtain concept could be improved and the shower/bath was small and slippery to get in and out.
Fantastic view from the terrace of hotel!
Rooms really very terrible, view from my room to water pump station, noise all day and night. Nice location with very uncomfortable hotel!
The only good thing about this hotel was the spectacular view. Whilst the shuttle service was adequate, it needed to be run more regularly.
Our experience at the Hotel San Michele ruined our time in Capri. To start with, our room was no-where near 4* standard. The decor is anythin but "elegant and modern," with dated and stained furniture. The area around the shower was covered in black mould and a squashed dead fly was left on our wall for the duration of our 3 day stay. We could not believe the condition of the room for the price we were paying and complained. The member of staff did not apologise once for the state of the hotel, but sent someone to fix our lightbulb in the bathroom. We were told he would be there in 5 minutes, however one hour later there was no sign of him. Their solution for the black mould was to PAINT over it. Our room now smelt of paint for the next few days! A full ashtray was also left outside on our balcony. Breakfast was limited and the tablecloths were stained. We were given kitchen towel for serviettes - not what you expect in a 4* hotel! At the end of our stay we asked for a reciept. The member of staff (who we assume was the manager) insisted that we had been given one and that we in the wrong. We then had to wait an hour to get a replacement. To finish off we then use the free shuttle service, but to our surprise we used an employees car, which had no seat belts and he was using his mobile phone whilst driving. We both felt this was highly dangerous and unprofessional of him.
