The facility was delightful and the staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Great restaurant, and good parking, a luxury in this location.

We chose the San Rocco to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we wern't disappointed ! Beautiful room overlooking the lake and island . Room 329. Very helpful and friendly staff. We know the Italian lakes very well and this is a lovely hotel in a wonderful location, we will definitely be back.

This is a really gorgeous hotel in a breathtaking location right on the lake. The staff made our stay particularly enjoyable. Along with your glass of local wine on the lake front, the staff provide delicious nibbles such as local cheeses, olives and sweet cherry tomatoes! We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was a little pricey but the breakfast buffet was excellent. We were really well looked after and I would highly recommend this hotel.

No internet in the rooms and slow in public areas, although Lake Orta is so beautiful it was actually nice to abandon technology for the weekend!

The location was Perfect! Just what I had hoped for when I booked. Peaceful, away from roads, Wonderful view of lake from bedroom. Lovely swimming pool/sunbeds overlooking lake. Access to lake for swimming which was wonderful. Waiter service at lake edge. Bedroom /bathroom modern and silent at night. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Perfect and quiet location by the lake and only a few steps away from the main piazza. Very polite and friendly staff allover the hotel, including the spa. Nice terrace and pool area, possibility to swim either in the pool or lake. Private car parking, high class restaurant and wonderful views over the lake and to the isle of San Giulio.

Although we had a nice little balcony facing the lake the room itself was a bit dull in colours and very plain, also quite small. Very limited space for hanging your clothes etc. if you are not a light traveler.

Lakeside location is unique, with superb view. Hotel design is quite appealing.

Beautiful, tranquil views of lake!

Lakeside location and walking distance to town square , walk around headland, walk up mountain- nice evening stroll. Clean modern room and bathroom. Lovely views.

Evening restaurant is inside only-no outside terrace as there is at lunchtime.

The location, the architecture, hotel parking, staff curtesy, responsiveness and service, breakfast buffet.

I gave the hotel only "Fair" on comfort because hotel rooms are not air conditioned and during the summer months where max temperatures average 25-30 centigrade staying in the room from noon to late afternoon was extremely uncomfortable. True, it wasn't advertised as air conditioned but judging by the room rate one expects a modern hotel to be so. The bathtub height was over 50 cm which made is somewhat dangerous to get in and out of. My recommendation below is excluding the summer months

Great location within village and yet also on the lake. Staff were very helpful and created a nice atmosphere overall.

No wi fi in bedroom and tv did not have good reception.

Fantastic position on the lake & great staff- particularily the bar man!

The room was quite small & to get a lake view I had to go out to the edge of the balcony-half the balcony was blocked by a wall & the view (when i could get near it) was then blocked by a tree. It was a great shame as the hotel is in a fabulous position with great staff and a good restaurant the cost of a mediocre room (£300+) was extortionate and is the reason I wll not be going there again.

Excellent location, friendly staff, good food, nice rooms (we stayed in a room with lake view) - extra bonus was the garage in the cellar where we could leave our car!

L'endroit est vraiment magnifique. Le temps n'était pas à la baignade, mais la piscine doit être vraiment agréable.

De devoir payer le parking. Le prix des chambres est vraiment trop élevé en comparaison d'autres établissements du même genre, notamment en Toscane, où nous sommes allés après.

Mitunter das beste Hotel, das wir kennengelernt haben. Sauber, große Zimmer mit Blick auf den Orta See. Hervorragender Service, gutes Essen, beste Lage am See.
