One of their staff was helpless, as we forgot something in the hotel and he refused to help us, we did a call to the hotel after we checked out to ask about it and he kept close the phone without even replying, it was someting really bad.

The rooms were huge and spacious and the location was great - just a few steps away from the Piazza San Marco and all the great shops and restaurants. A second bathroom in the suite was an added bonus and was very convenient. Great breakfast too. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was very nice. Lack of comunications between the staff is terrible. One person says one thing the other says something completely different. We prepaid for the room and had to argue that we did. After getting upset she called a different reception which they have two and a half. Depending on their whim where and who you go to. They missed our wake up call twice and had to forgo a tour. I do not recommend this hotel at all. They do not tell you how the key works. The safe worked and then did not work. We had to wait two hours for they to fix the safe so we could not go anywhere.

Our suite was excellent particularly having a terrace to sit out on for some peace and quiet. The staff were friendly but not intrusive. The location was perfect for our needs as were the number of rooms. The booking service, our contact was Sabrina was excellent. Her emails were timely and clear and concise. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you for your courtesy. These are not complaints but observations. The bathroom was a little tired and needs updating along with the plumbing. There needs to be more mirrors, particularly a long mirror problably best in the main bedroom, it could be positioned in one of the very spacious cupboards. It would be good to have another mirror, not necessary full length in the smaller bedroom.

Overall fine. Don't get the brkfst Very hard to find and the staff wasn't able to give good directions in English. Our 2 rooms would have been in different buildings so we were moved up to a suite which proved to have no ac.

This was very expensive, and I thought it would be luxury. It turned out neat and clean and central location, but for the price we were very disapointed. One young lady never would give us information, and was not helpful, she worked day shift. The night gals were more friendly and helped. The restaurant was just passable. I thought it would be so different. Very disapointed. I looked on the Web to find this hotel, What you advertised and what I witnessed was two different things.

The reception staff were helpful. The rooms -the most expensive suite, was very comfortable For an expensive suite we were disappointed there were no views, but this is a small point. The worst thing was the breakfasts. These are buffet and run by a totally inadequate number of staff. Every day we had to search for cups, glasses, crockery etc, it was never all available and on the last day we could only obtain a cup and small plate for the first half of our meal. The quality of food was also not as good as I'd expect from a top-class hotel - the cold meats and bread rolls were fresh but the bacon was always greasy, the 'eggs'- folded omlettes, tasted as if they had been made of dried powdered egg, the fruit juice was odd-tasting and made from concentrate in a machine and the fresh fruit salad was tough and tasted artificial. There were no cooked options apart from the very poor bacon and eggs.

We had a Family Suite so it was nice that we had a separate bedroom with a double and a balcony, while our daughters had two singles in a room that spanned the canal. There was also a couch and a table. We needed more instructions on how to find it, so after several wrong turns we finally did locate the hotel. I was a little disappointed with breakfast, thought there would be more variety and the coffee machine seemed to be having problems. In the office, don't stand back and wait hoping they will say can I help you, you have to ask if you want to know anything.

Once you figured out that the hotel was in two separate but close locations, and navigated the vagaries of Venice, we were golden. Rooms were decorated in a real Venetian style- roping, brochade, etc. Bathrooms were new, clean and updated but in keeping with Venice. Great place. I would have liked to have fluffy pillows rather than flat ones.

We booked this room because it accommodated 3 people. I didn't know it had a kitchenette, but I found that really useful, too. Also, the location was super. Also, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the price of the accommodation included a free water taxi to Murano and glassblowing demonstration. That was nice. Also, one of the night staff (female employee, didn't get her name) was really helpful and friendly. Some of the lights and light sockets didn't work, but it wasn't a big deal.

Excellent location, close to major landmarks and restaurants, shopping. Very good for families. The suite accommodated all five of us very well. Small refrigerator and stove were nice to have. Balcony was a bonus, nice and large. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. A few things they could have done better - furniture on the balcony was in poor condition and there wasn't enough of it. It would be easy to make it a really nice space because it is so large. Also, no coffee cups, cereal bowls or silverware in the kitchen. Seems odd because they provide the small stove and refrigerator.

Location -- very cose to San Marco Piazza where all the action is for tourist. Also, walking distance or a waterbus ride to everything. The suite was spacious and very upscale by European standards. Two full baths, large living room, three large windows (no view), large bedroom with king bed; and small kitchen area. Air conditioning worked very well, which is very much needed in the summer months. I foound several of the hotel staff to be arrogant and not particularly customer centered. There was a problem with my keys which didn't work and the attitude was one of annoyance on the part of the staff (as if I created the problem). Never an apology; just a phone call to make sure I brought the keys which didn't work back down to the desk. They also do not staff the reception desk after certanin hours at night and I noticed several guests who were stranded -- not able to get into the hotel or into their rooms. Hot spot for wireless worked well down in the lobby area, but I was told one evening I had to leave by a certain time. The room was great; the staff not very professional.

Location. Some staff were nice but this was all downgraded by a Francesca who spoke all the right words but couldn't walk the walk. Maybe she doesn't like Australians??? Replace Francesca or some serious training on how to look after the people paying her wage. I have been all over Europe and this is the only front counter affront that I have encountered.
