In front of Rialto Bridge, Hotel Rialto features a terrace with views of the Grand Canal. It offers traditionally furnished Venetian rooms and suites with satellite TV.
Score from 873 reviews Very good
Opened in 1308, the Albergo Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo is one of the oldest hotels in Venice. It is set right behind St. Mark's Square, and features elegant rooms and a private pier.
Score from 1438 reviews Good
The traditional style with attention to detail evoked old-world charm. It felt luxurious throughout. The location next to the Piazza San Marco could not be better. The view looking out on to a canal was superb.
Not possible to make the room completely dark at night.
Perfect location Good breakfast Included free glass factory trip very enjoyable
A little hard to find Different hotel name sign than the one in booking Outdated furniture
Not upgraded. Customer service lacking. Small bathroom, no separate shower. Expensive for what is offered. Rated as four star on your website but do not feel it is justified. Disappointed and will not choose to stay there again.
Smack in the middle of what we came to see. Close to the San Marco boat/taxi pier. Old building with modern interior. Air Con, BBC tv news. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast on till 10.30.
Free boat ride to Murano glass factory is high pressure sales set up.
old style corridor full of dirty linen carpets in the corridors are dirty wifi only in one place of the hotel price is exaggerated high would need renovation curtains and carpets to be cleant
Poor service. Poor location of apartment within the complex. Had to carry bags up and down stairs as we were located in a back area of the complex that had no direct access. Supposed to be a self contained apartment but had a microwave and yet smiles but no cups and sauces, plates or tea making facilities. When asked about these was told they were removed due to safety issues!!! But they could deliver coffee from their bar at a cost! Internet in the designated area was next to impossible. Have stayed here before and enjoyed it. But after this time never again! Stay away from this place - they don't deserve your business.
Very close to Piazza San Marco
No porter service. Wifi available in a very small area, Always very crowded. Many corridors and stairs to go to the suite.
The place of the hotel is great in the center of venice and near from everthing
Internet connection are so poor
Nos fomos desrespeitados pelo funcionario do frontdesk Edoardo. O hotel teria no maximo 2 estrelas e nao 4. Nos sentimos enganados pela falsa propaganda. We were disrespected by the functionary of frontdesk Edoardo. Hotel deserves at most 2 stars and not 4. We felt cheated/fooled by false advertising.
Great location, one of the few candidates for our family of 5, even getting to the hotel as St. Marks Square slowly flooded was a fun and memorable experience for the family. The 2-BR suite with a large living room (wilth sleeper sofa) was the perfect solution for our family. Buffet breakfast was excellent, a great way to start the day for the family.
Getting the WiFi signal was a bit of a battle, and was only accessable on the ground floor level, and was intermittant at that.
rooms were good size and well furnished
electric plugs were not all satisfactory
Location Clear room Atmospher
Wonderful location, clean rooms and helpful staff.
While location was amazing, it was hard to find.
Excellentl ocation, very clean, very large rooms (suites), friendly and very helpful staff, elegant public spaces and room furnishings, nice breakfast.
Mattresses were not very comfortable and pillows were hard as brick. Lack of WIFI in rooms was frustrating.
the facilities are no good, no hot water for shower, the staff of hotel could not do anything, and the decoration of rooms are old, no comfortable...
Location was fabulous and lots of space in the family suite
No plug in the bath and no replacement could found plus shower screen leaked all over bathroom floor whenever we usd the shower
The hotel manger was so friendly
The location is great. Just close to San Marco. We didn't hear the bells during the night which is great too!
A lot of things... First, the name of the hotel is not correct. Why? Just guess... Then: Room smaller than pictured and much less convenient due to space in room (one extra double bed: the suite is for one double bed and not two) Breakfast: low diversity (douwe egber cafe in Italy!?!) and rudeness of serving people - industrial low quality orange juice - no fresh bakeries... Bathroom: very old bathroom (a bit reluctant although cleanness was good, very noisy ventilation, no hot water first then only tempered then cold again (several reclamations to concierge to have it fixed). Girls were bitten during night by spiders and not Mosquitos. No air conditionné (in Venise, it is best not to happen the windows due to the Mosquitos)
Our family enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The staff were always helpful and friendly and always a smile on there face. Enjoyed the ambience of the lounges. The room was comfortable and not lacking anything important.
There was no complimentary coffee or tea in the room.
Brakefast was not ideal.
Great location. Helpful staff
No wifi in room. Location of where wifi access was available- in a corridor with two chairs to sit in for all the wifi users.
Fabulous suite right on San Marco square that consisted of: entrance, leaving-room with a kitchen, bath, small balcony and 2 bed rooms, one of which was situated on a bridge between to buildings and right up on a channel. Perfect view, silent, ample, clean, luminous. We felt like at home. Kind and professional staff on reception. We were really lucky to spent our weekend in Venice in lucky a wonderful deluxe room number 225. Absolutely recommended!!!
Not to much choice for breakfast. Horrible coffee from automatic machine. Reception is situated in separate building but it was not a problem.
Comfort, cleanliness, location
No free wifi in 2013! very basic breakfast, was expecting more
