Set in a 5th-century building 200 metres from Piazza della Repubblica main square, B&B La Casa Di Tufo offers spacious rooms and a studio combining modern comforts with original architectural details....
Score from 216 reviews Wonderful 9.2/10
The building is right off of the main road through town so it was easy to get around. It is very near the cathedral and the underground tour. The breakfast was outstanding and the owner really wants to make sure that you are taken care of.
The check-in was a little tricky since the front door is locked when the office is closed. Make sure you have the phone number to contact the owner or make a definite plan to check in at a specific time. Wi fi did not work well on the top floor but worked well in the lobby.
Right in middle of small, small village. Easy to walk to from vehicular. We had view of the town from small balcony window. Loved the place!
Only negative is no elevator. But once in your room, it is great.
Gulia was a wonderful hostess. Great place for a day or two in lovely Orvieto. The location is perfect, accommodations great and service was excellent.
Excellent Central location in the old town . Accom recently beautifully renovated but sparse from Australian point of view. Great beds and room layout . Breakfast generally ok . Owner was very quick to supply iron and glasses etc, and gave us breakfast when we were leaving early
Lugging suitcases up 3 flights of stairs!
What a wonderful stay we had! Gulia was an outstanding hostess, and our accommodation was perfect in every way. Our room (including en-suite) was extremely spacious, and the overall decor of the property (with remarkable attention to detail) fit perfectly with the village of Orvieto. Breakfast was satisfying and felt comfortably homey. Highly recommended, and we look forward to returning for a much longer stay.
Nothing (except the length of our stay)!!
The staff was not helpful. The room was bare with no where to put things. We wanted to chill a bottle of wine and we were told to get ice at the bar on the corner because the kitchen would be locked. There was not much in the kitchen a y way since there was not much for breakfast.
The room and the house were beautiful. The bed was comfortable. a very relaxing environment.
the owner/ manager was not available during our stay except when we checked in. not a big deal, but we had not way to ask questions, get an extra towel, etc.
Great location, attractive, spacious room and very friendly and helpful owner. Would definitely go back.
great location. great value for money
no wi-fi at the room
Very positive and helpfull hostess, charming house and rooms with the atmosphere of Orvieto.
Just as the other comments, this is a true good value for your money. very good location, cosy and clean room, good and warm hospitality. it is a good decision to go there
Beautiful B & B. Such a comfortable bed. Bar heating which is comfortable heating and no fan noise.
Great design, the house is very comfortable. Located in the heart of Orvieto. This house does not want to be one day, and for two days Orvieto little. We have been there now, and all ages, with beds, bathrooms, and all that you see there will be a better life than in pictures. Orvieto is calling back, an ancient Etruscan town, recommended to all lovers of history and gastronomy. Choosing Orvieto - choose this particular BB Sant'Angelo 42!
Very comfortable bed
Guiliana, the owner, is very pleasant and runs an immaculate B&B. It is clear that she puts her heart into this operation and is intent on making visitors happy. Outstanding breakfast. Easy enough to walk to from the Funiclore, but she can arrange a taxi to the train station if necessary.
The renovation of the house had been appealingly modernised with good taste whilst maintaining a sympathy for the original design. Information of locality/ map etc readily supplied & recommendation for an excellent local restaurant. Clean accommodation and good breakfast.
B&B Sant' Angelo lacked warmth and the presence of a resident house keeper. The towels were laundered but did not smell fresh.
Amazing location and very helpful staff
No tea/coffee facilities available
It's a charming little B and B, clean and spacious with lots of character. Breakfast was lovely. Orvieto is so very beautiful with wonderful history and lovely friendly locals.
The owner was extremely helpful. The room was very contemporary and large. nice bath. Breakfasts were very good.
Very clean and charming place with a room overlooking the rooftops and surrounding hillsides of Orvieto. Wish we would have stayed another day. No lift, but not a problem for us.
A little difficult to find. Couldn't get the spa tub to work.
Absolute perfect B&B!!!
Spacious room. Lovely bed.
Guilia does not live on site so when she wants to know the exact time of arrival, it is not always possible to know. The breakfast quality was poor. Parking is problematic as you have to feed the meter until 8pm and from 8 am. If you like to sleep in, forget it. Wifi does not work in room. You have to hold on to shower rose over bath, no proper shower. I think well overpriced for facilities.
Convient to all points of interest in Orvieto, clean, Giulia was the opitomy of Italian friendliness, and generally a great destination. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it.
It was a bit difficult to find, and difficult to find free parking. Having said that, this is more about Orvieto than the B and B.
We loved everything about this place! It was beautifully decorated, immaculate and had an old-world style that seemed a perfect compliment to the lovely Orvieto. Despite the old-world style, the en-suite bathroom was fully updated and the air conditioner in the room worked perfectly. It even had a flat screen TV, though I can't imagine why anyone would want to watch TV when they could be out exploring and enjoying this charming little town! The breakfasts were simple yet tasty and filling, and Gulia was a wonderful hostess who went out of her way to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Absolutely nothing--it was perfect all the way around!
The room was spacious and well-decorated. Also, the room had a nice view and the b&b was in an excellent location. This room was an excellent value.
The whirlpool tub did not seem to be working. We did not bring this to the host's attention, though, and we might not have correctly understood how it worked. Despite this problem, we liked the bathroom very much.
