Location, just outside Historic Centre of Siena, rooms on the small side but comfy, very clean with a good bathroom, breakfast very good
Beautiful location, ZPTL-wise if you are driving and for experiencing Tuscany & Siena city - we have had the best room of the hotel with a beautiful balcony view of cypress trees and castles with sun in the backdrops. Service is good, breakfast is quite worth the money paid.
Nothing at all for the price you pay.
The staff was exceptional. They were ready to answer any question. Particularly appreciated that they helped us finding a parking at no charge. Very nice design
The breakfast was great - everything was fresh. The staff were very attentive, polite and pleasant. The rooms were big and nicely decorated, the minibar was well stocked. This place was also good value for money, and had a magnificent view of the valleys with a possibility to watch the sunrise. Fantastic wee hotel!
Everything was great - first time there was nothing (!) not to like!
Excellent location especially if you are driving. Easy walk to town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast! Eat outside with the view. Loved Siena!
Parking in hotel lot was a challenge...but fun.
Good for what you pay for. Close to the center.
Old facilities, but ok for what u pay for.
Great view from the patio, great breakfast room, great service, great location, great staff.
Beautiful place, excellent service.
The absence of toasts and boiled eggs for breakfast.
Great advise. Great Food. Great area to explore. All around fun!
Mattress could be replaced. Small detail that did not detract from a wonderful stay
Great view Close to the city great size rooms and bathrooms
Rooms next to road could be noisy - although friends room had triple glazing so v quiet
Everything. Great staff, nicely appointed room with a very comfortable bed (....and a bath!!!) Excellent bar and a fantastic breakfast room (and breakfast). Great location right at the gates of the city wall!
Nice courtyard. Fairly close to old city (easily walkable).
Our room, the hotel staff, and the hotel itself were all excellent. Sitting just outside the Roma Gate, the historic city of Siena was an easy stroll away to explore and enjoy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! We LOVE the place.
Sitting just outside the walls of Siena at a busy corner, there is unavoidable traffic noise. This wouldn't be a problem except that we enjoy sleeping with the windows open and the room flooded with fresh air.
Charming little hotel, walking distance to the old city. Beautiful garden with a stunning wiev.
There was a smell in the room, maybe mold, and we kept the window open all night to be able to sleep.
The staff were excellent, the building itself was beautiful, full of characterful features. We had a room overlooking the garden and countryside and the triple glazing meant it was completely quiet. Very nice breakfast buffet, with excellent patient service from the staff who seemed to speak a number of languages. It was a short walk to the main square, about 10 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel.
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Wonderful garden with fantastic view to Tuscany hills. Enjoyable breakfast on a beautiful terrace.
It's very busy corner and no place to stop the car for drop-off
I will definitely stay here again. Unless you want to be in the center of town, this is he place to stay. The staff is wonderful.
The rooms are a bit tiny. Barely enough room to open 2 suitcases.
Efficient staff Good wifi Great location Comfy beds
Noisy air conditioning from reception area
The location right out side of Porta Romana was excellent. It gave us great walking access to Siena and its location on the south side of the city gave us great access to the countryside for auto touring. The room was great and the staff excellent with great suggestions for restaurants and nearby places to visit. I would come back to this property.
The only thing was the WiFi was a little spotty but the staff was very helpful and it was only a minor inconvenience.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, over and above normal. Breakfast room and garden were beautiful. Tiziana was delightful in the way she served breakfast. Special thanks to Lucio and Andrea who looked after me when I was not well.
Walk to centre of Siena was quite long and uphill but you can easily catch the bus which stops outside the hotel and comes every 15 minutes.
We stayed 5 nights in the Hotel Santa Caterina and were very happy with our accommodations. The hotel was charming and comfortable with a great garden and small lobby/bar with lots of books. It was a short walk to the city gates. The breakfast was good and the service excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and arranging tours.
Attentive staff, nice breakfast in solarium or terrace. Rooms with view of countryside. Good choice if you have a car, convenient parking, although you first have to stop on the sidewalk in front of hotel to get access.
Bit of a walk along not particularly attractive street to get to center of Siena. But a snap on bus, concierge has tickets. Beds located in loft up spiral staircase. Room decor plain.
garden with an amazing view where breakfast was served. Rooms were good If on the garden side. staff were excellent and it was only a short walk to the main square. Parking was good once you realised where the entrance was
Rooms noisy on the street side
Friendly helpful staff. Met us at garage and helped with luggage. Helped with restaurant choices, activities and general overview of positano including where to shop for quality and local prices . One of our highlight stays of our two week Italy trip
Breakfast Setting/view/garden Friendly, helpful staff
