Hotel Santa Prassede  

Clean and tidy, good value for money for location in centre of Rome. All you need when you are out and about all day. No twin room available when we arrived as we had booked but they did not hesitate in giving us 2 singles and then moved us the next day.

A bit tired, could do with a bit of modernising.

Hotel was close to the main train station and close to the city centre. So we didnt need to use public transport to see all atractions. Our room was in fifth floor and we had terrrace with nice view to Rome. Room and bathroom was clean and the bed and towels were changed every day. Staff was friendly and helpfull. We also had a breakfast every morning in small lounge at hotel reception. Good value for the money

Only one thing I didnt like was that we had to share our terrace with people who lived in the room next to us. Fortunately it was only on our last day.

Not much.

Room decor disgusting, bathroom far too small with very worrying ceiling. No lift which made it very difficult up the stairs with heavy luggage. Creepy corridors that had cctv camera's? why? Breakfast awful. Paper thin walls. Sorry, i won't be returning.

Room was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi was provided.

Double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Breakfast could have had a bit more variety.

1, location was good. Near Termini station 2, breakfast included, 7:30- 9:30am, though only simple bread

1, no wifi in the room 2, bed was very small 3, no quilt, not even blanket, only very thin sheets as cover....

My holidays in this hotel were perfect - we had a totally new room, staff was friendly, pastries and coffee for the breakfast was exactly what we needed. And of course its the best location ever - quiet street, but all the major places are nearby (colliseum - 10 min of walking) The most beautiful place in Rome is in 3 metres from the hotel - Basilica Santa Prassede. And also there's a good bar/restaurant on the same street - Old Marconi, with fresh and tasty food and perfect service. Thank you!

The staff were very friendly and easy going. They were happy to answer our questions and to help where they could. The breakfast was as to be expected from a two star hotel: coffee, tea and bread with jam. The juice machine was well liked by my children.

We had a quadruple room, one double and two singles, all pushed into a small space. There was no space for a family to relax after a day of sightseeing in the room or the common room. The common room was for breakfast only or people on the internet. We were lucky, I guess, to have a bathroom. The bathroom smelled of wet cardboard and the bathroom ceiling was frightening. The plastic weave ceiling 'tiles' were sagging and had a black garbage bag as repair. Because the bathroom smelled so bad the room was rather pungent too. I am not sure if other rooms were smoking rooms or people hung out the windows to smoke, but at certain times the smell of cigarette smoke wafted to our room.

Position of hotel.

The hotel room (No.18) was poorly positioned next to the entrance & was very noisy, also the television did not work & this was never sorted out. No tea making facilities in room.

The location is ideal, so central and on the doorstep to bars and restaurants, yet it's very quiet. Price very good. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is so clean and well cared for. I like the fact that I now have found a hotel in Rome which I am sure I will return to.

The hotel is in a graet loction; less than 10 minutes to Termini, 15 minutes to Collosseum, 25 minutes to Fontana di Trevi and The Pantheon, 35 minutes to Spanish Steps, ( all times are for walking at a moderate pace. 10 Euros roughly for a taxi to Pantheon. Hotel Staff let my friends who were staying at a hotel outside of Rome leave their luggage on the last day. Hotel staff were very friendly and spoke English if needed. Hotel Staff called Taxis and were there in five minutes. There was free WIFI and it worked I did get a different room when i said that mine was noisey and the shower did not work.

Breakfast is limited, breadrolls that were hard, croissants that had cream in themiddle, coffee dispensed form a machine and a cereal not worth bothering iwth. Water pressure was non existant and temperature was hard to control Mattresses were rock hard The room keys in the rooms next door also worked my room, didnt realise til the last day, rather worrying . My room was not in the hotel but in a building opposite. WIFI as stated only owrked in the lounge and this was where people who were staying in the actual hotel had breakfast so not easy to use WIFI between 7.30 and 9.00 while breakfast was served. Room 102 was noisey, a woman scrubbbed the courtyard at 06.00 every day. Room 102 and 106 had poor shower pressure Room 102 and 106 had very hard mattresses.

Good honest value for money with very helpful staff. Brilliant location, absolutely ideal for short city break

All the stairs, climbing 40 was enough at the end of a tirying day round the city let alone 60!!!!

Great location near the Termini train station. Basic no frills room, very clean and a good value.

Location, close to Termini station

Air conditioning not working in both rooms, (was the hottest week in Rome) had to borrow a fan. Had to keep windows open to get some breeze but then the noise outside was too loud.

The friendly staff and the cleanliness of the rooms, very nice and comfortable rooms.

Our bedroom did not have a number on it, we had to guess. The air conditioning needs updating TV not plugged in, just dumped on a shelf

The room was quite small but adequate for a weekend break. Everything was clean and the hotel staff were always polite. Breakfast was a bit sparse but you get what you pay for.
