Conveniently located near the old town. Very comfortable and modern. Great WiFi. Maria made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast she prepared with local food was exceptional. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting Matera.

This small B&B is a 2-minute walk from Matera's Piazza Vittorio Veneto, gateway to the Sassi area. Each room offers a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Breakfast is a sweet buffet including fresh fruit. All rooms at the Santa Marta have a view of the main street, and are simply decorated with wenge wood and tiled floors. Each includes a tea/coffee maker and toiletries. B&B Santa Marta is 492 feet from Matera Train Station, on the Ferrovie Apulo Lucane railway. The bus terminus with links to the main Italian cities is in front of the station.
