great location in the historic city center.

Skills I was very very small room (I was expecting a claustrophobic effect it), shower is outside the room, although it was very clean ...

I loved the Venetian decor, chandelier, hand painted furniture, corded drapes. The bathtub was amazing. I loved having two desks and the view out to the pizzaz. It was not noisy. The breakfasts were perfect. The concierge was extremely helpful.

Hotel Santo Stefano is a lovely, quaint hotel. The interior of the rooms is something else! Wall to wall decor of Red and gold with Bedcovers to match. I gather this is Venetian in style. It gave the room this very cosy feel. The room was rather small for a double room and the shower cubicle was not designed for plus size people (sorry). The bathroom interestingly was behind a sliding door that was also a mirror. Mystery, mystery. However, it was rather very clean. The receptionist mad up for her not speaking English by being very nice and helpful. The lift practically takes 2 people. Breakfast was included but well very simple. 2 rolls of bread, butter, jam, cheese and some biscuit... The location was by a large square and all major attractions were within walking distance 5 -10 minutes.

happy to have had a big TV, though old fashioned. The 200 odd channels were ALL in Italian! Even MTV and every great film that came on was voiced over in Italian! Happily, we had brought a few DVDs with us to watch and wanted to spend more time without than within.

The comfort of the room, the position in the city, the care provided by the staff when an Aqua Alto happened! (very high tide - the hotel lobby was 6" deep in water on the morning of our departure!)

Was easy to get to, staff were helpful with directions, booking transport and tours / events that were happening

Detached bathroom, so had to leave room in night to use bathroom etc. For $150 AUD a night i would expect a bathroom in room

Marcello was a great host - and ensured we were well looked after, answered all our queries and helped us find our way around. The building, its fit out and accommodation is very good. We would return!!

Location was excellent for ease of walking in Venice. Water taxis and airport transportation easy to get to with minimum of bridges to carry your luggage over. Hotel has been modernized and quite comfortable (elevator very handy). Small problem with air conditioner (too cold). Roberto did his best to alleviate this. Excellent hosts. Breakfast was pleasant out front on the plaza, maybe some fruit would have improved it.

Location & Venetian style Great location, rooms were decorated in traditional Venetian style and clean. The bathroom wasn't very big but was beautiful none the less. Very clean premises and the location was great to explore Venice. Hotel had a lift also which was a sight for eyes! We would def stay there again.

Good bathroom

The room was very cramped and walls, curtains and bedcover made of red and gold brocade which had the effect of making it look a bit like a brothel!

The location in Campo Santo Stefano is excellent and very convenient to most of the important features of Venezia. The rooms, although small, are uniquely and beautifully decorated. Most of all, Marcello, the owner-operator, is friendly, helpful, and an all around good host. We very much enjoyed our two-niight stay, and we are likely to return.

Fantastic litte hotel right in the heart of Venice. Rooms unusual, we had one with a view of the square, our daughters looked onto the buildings behind but we were hardly in our rooms. Breakfast nice - a bit small.

Guy at reception seems unfriendly at first but was actually very nice by the end. Bathrooms are a bit small, especially the shower - not great for anybody over 160cm. Quite expensive but the location makes it worth it!

Bellissimo palazzetto veneziano in splendida posizione di fronte alla chiesa di Santo Stefano. Romantica stanza, servizio gentile e ottima colazione. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Unico neo: un po' scomodo il televisore nell'armadio.

Charme et gentillesse pour cet établissement situé au coeur de Venise entre San Marco, Accademia e Rialto.

Grande chambre très jolie, cependant la salle de douche est vraiment tres petite et très mal agencée : lavabo design trop grand et sans plans d'appui pour le beauty case + wc à chevaucher pour entrer dans la douche (d'ailleurs pourquoi une douche jacuzzi dans cet espace réduit alors qu'une douche normale aurai pris moins de place et aurait été bien plus confortable).

La pulizia lasciava un po' a desiderare (ragni ed altri insetti in giro per la stanza) stamza troppo piccola per il prezzo richiesto Snitari scomodi

È carino perché in una zona graziosa e disposto su più piani con poche stanze per piano siccome è molto stretto. Tipico stile veneziano. Prezzo accettabile.

La biancheria non era il massimo. Piumino vecchio e macchiato.

Sehr schöne Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr zentrale Lage. Einfach klasse.

Il gusto nell'arredamento della camera e la cura dei dettagli. La posizione molto gradevole, centrale e comoda.

Il tipo di tv nella camera. Ancora vecchio tipo. Va sicuramente rinnovato perchè non adeguato al resto, sicuramente ben più curato.

Très bien situé, il est facile de visiter à pied tous les quartiers environnants et de prendre le vaporetto sans avoir à traîner les valises sur des kilomètres et sans avoir à franchir un seul pont ce qui est quasi impossible à Venise.

L'accueil du responsable de la réception n'était pas agréable, pas souriant, peu clair dans ses explications, manque total de chaleur. Minimum syndical pour encaisser la facture avant même que le séjour ne commence.
