Sarah Sun Island

The host was very helpful and the light breakfast was pleasant.

The rooms were absolutely tiny (just as well we had neither whip nor cat), the unpleasant damp smell was the reason for the surfeit of air-fresheners, toilet paper could not be flushed, there was no air-conditioning, the small fans offered were ineffective and the power was cut-off in the middle of the night (meaning no use of fans and only emergency lighting).

What a great experience, what a brilliant idea!! Finally something different from the same old hotels. Nelli was so nice and hospitable. Makes her best to accommodate all your requests and looks after you very well. Had the best ever croissants for breakfast. Docked in a very nice location and very close to vaporetto stop. Take route 2 or 42 from Piazzale Roma (Bus station) and stop on sacca fisola. Would definitely go back again!!

We booked on the Sarah, but when we arrived it was the sister boat/cruiser Anna, but we were not disappointed, far from it, although a slightly smaller vessel we were shown to our room by the fantastic "Nelli" (nothing is too much bother for her and she will mother you throughout your stay), to say we were impressed would be an understatement, our room was the master suite (ask for this if you ever book as it is truly a wonderful room) 5 star accommodation.The boat is moored just across from the main city on Isola Della Giudecca (5 minutes and you are in the heart of Venice) but you have the best views of Venice you are ever going to get at this price, and it is nice and quiet at night so you can sleep after all the sightseeing in Venice. Ask Nelli where else to go to see things as well, she is a mine of information, and made our stay so much better.

The fact its a boat, and the location.

You have to be accurate regarding the time of the check in or you may have to wait outside, the sound of the sea waves hitting the boat would make it difficult to sleep, no internet as promised, it was a different boat than it is shown on the website and we were not informed about that before.

it was note the Sarah Sun Island which was advertised so spent 4 hours looking for it as the company change the boat. The facilities on this boat was less as the t.v was broken and no internet as advertised in the Sarah Sun Island.

The yaught is fantastic and really adds a sense of adventure to your trip to Venice.

No, everything was absolutely fantastic!

The only Hotel staff that we met, Neli, is very nice. Staying in a yought has its own ups and downs ;-) But it was a fantastic experience, though it is not comparable with staying in a normal hotel. Our 1.5 year old daughter enjoyed a lot.

The yought was located in a very far distance from the city and everytime we had to take water bus or water taxi to go the attarctive places in the city. Furthermore, we were expecting that the yough will move around, but it was only parked at a very corner.

Easy to reach by public transport (Vaporetto) - Great view - Close to important sightseeing places - Quiet setting - Good breakfast buffet - Friendly, personal service

This yacht is a unique place to stay not only due to the fact that one stays on a boat in Venice, but also due to the climate/atmosphere at it. It's almost brand new and it looks really nice. The manager, Nellie, is a very nice and helpful person. Breakfests are full of fruits and delicious Italian goodies. The rooms are clean, equipped with an aircondition, a window, a mirror, an anti-mosquito air freshener, and a radio that plays very old romantic songs. Our bathroom also had a window, which is quite important on a boat.

It was hard to dry wet things (e.g. bikini or towels) inside a room, but on the other hand it's normal when on a boat.

Its a wonderfull thing to be on a boot and enjoy the wonderfull over the canal. Breakfirst is perfect and Nelle are host is very friendly. Thanks for making Peter 50's birthday prefect!

For people how get sik on a boot, this is nothing for you.

Nellie was very welcoming and helpful. The boat was beautifully done and the rooms were clean. Slept very well. Conveniently located near a Vaporetti pick-up / drop-off point.

While fine for me, the planks leading up to the boat could be difficult for someone with lack of balance to navigate.

The brekfast buffet is excellent!
