Wifi worked well
I stayed at this hotel Nov 9-11; my credit card was charged in October for the full amount minus the daily tax. I paid the tax when I checked in, by thr way, the tax is per person and NOT per room. Last week (1 Dec) I was charged again for the total price of the room. The hotel has not responded to my request for my refund. The room had a foul smell, the toilet barely flushed and the drain in the shower was clogged my entire stay, even after maintenance "fixed" it. The hotel wad difficult to find. I will NOT stay in this hotel again.
Close to the center and metro, good location, friendly staff, nice panorama from terrace, and good price!
Water is only cold, sometimes elevator wasn't working, moldy walls in bathroom, TV does not work, air conditioner remote control was missing.
Room was clean, nice, with a window that opened. One Chinese cleaner spoke good English and helped us
Complete unprofessionalism, no people anywhere, lack of information posted. 1. reception never open, "cleaner" who "was the reception" spoke no English 2. wrong phone number on the web 3. posted phone number never answered 4. request for late check-out not answered, created confusion 5. Call this a "hostel", say "reception open only by appointment"
- You CANNOT sleep without earplugs! There is some water pump that makes wierd sounds every 3 seconds, this does not stop never, it was terrible, we asked the staff about this, and they said that they "don't know"... yeah - It is on the six-th (last) floor in a civil building - The elevator opens with a key that was sticked with glue, we had to return in cause it broke the same day - TV is not working, we asked the staff to fix it, but they didn't - We paid for 3 nights, but stayed only 2, and they refused to refund us - No Wi-Fi actually, no matter what the staff says. - They took our toilet paper on the 2nd day - The water is HOT or COLD, no middle position - There is no even a drawer in the room, just tall wardrobe. - Will NEVER come back to this place
- very close to the center and Termini station
- no hot water - no wifi - very small rooms
- The room was dirty. - There was NO wifi as they claim. - The Shower water wasn't hot. Was turning from hot to cold every few seconds. We couldn't get a shower. - And most importantly, there was NO HEATING with 8°c during the night. In addition the receptionist lied about the heating when checking in, and said that was working properly (even though it wasn't). There were two thin blankets on the beds and only one more extra. Very thin as well absolutelly NOT appropriate for this time of year. We had to sleep with two blouses and socks on and during the night we both woke up because we were freezing. - In the morning at 9am the reception was still closed and noone to complain to, or leave the room's keys.
The lift to 3rd floor
most things - poor lighting, shower barely adequate, advertised wifi but did not work. No staff on premises
The air conditioning wasn't working properly (you couldn't turn it off). It was leaking on top of the wardrobe and ruined our clothes and shoes. No wi-fi (it was supposed to have internet connection, according to the advertisement). The staff was rude. The toilet wasn't clean when we arrived. No hot water in the shower. They don't change the towels every day. No soap provided. We had to ask for toilet paper. We asked for a glass and they didn't have any, or extra pillows. I have to ask for an invoice I asked for a refund, due to all the inconveniences, and I was treated rudely.
12 september, we were told that it came after 13 hours the key to our hotel room in Savannah would be in ginevra hotel. went there and the guy called and told us that you would not receive any more. and that was to go to another hotel. sent us a call family house. months ago but we reserve the savannah and not the family house. confirmed several times that we would come and pay everything in advance. this is absurd. we have to change the script we did, and my wife was so disappointed that she cried a lot. we came here to have fun and not to be treated as nothing. we are away from home. a great absurdity !!!
friendly staff; good location - 5 minutes from Termini but in quite safe district;
unfortunately wifi was not working while our staying
Beds were comfortable and cleaner came in everyday (although she simply hung up the used, wet towels, instead of giving us fresh clean towels). Good location
I don't usually write reviews but my experience with Savannah was very poor. When we arrived, only the cleaning lady was there and she informed us that we had to go to another hotel (10-15mins away) to check in. After eventually finding the hotel, she simply told us that we should have checked in at Savannah Guesthouse. Apparently it was the cleaning lady's first day. We agreed to check in at the hotel but someone would be at Savannah to give us our key. When we got to Savannah, the same cleaning lady gave us our key. During our entire stay, we did not see anyone in reception so we could not ask for advice or information about the city. There was no wifi as advertised (I had to ring their phone and apparently they had a disagreement with the operator). City tax was €3.50, it was advertised at €2 on their website. Again I felt that I was being scammed. Other points - no hot water, very poor pressure from shower and taps, side lamps in bedroom did not work, walls very thin so we could hear our neighbours very well. I have stayed in numerous hostels in Europe and I understand value for money but as pointed above, there were too many faults with it.
Nice stuff, very helpful. Close to the centre.
On Sunday nobody is there, so the check-in is in the other hotel (10 minutes walking away). The same with other things like access to the iron, leaving the luggage. No wi-fi. No table in the room.
Close to town centre
No staff or reception, only a note on a door with address where you can collect a keys from, this was not informed before arriving (20 mins walk one way to collect a keys). Wi-fi code was not provided, even confirmation said it is available and free of charge. Outside key didn't work, we had to wait for someone going through that door to let us in.
STAFF: Our landing time to Rome was at 22h, so the day before of our arrival I wrote an e-mail to “Relais Savannah” asking for late check-in instructions, but nobody answers me… We finally arrived at 23.45h to the Hotel in order to do the check in. After ringing the bell several times (it is located in the 3rd floor of a building), a hotel GUEST (who was sleeping inside), opened the door. She explained us that late check-in’s had to be done in another hotel, located 15 min walking away from “Relais Savannah”. Any indicator in any place! Thanks to this friendly guest, we avoided sleeping in the street. Following her indications, we arrived to the second hotel at 00.15h and... Surprise, there isn’t available rooms in “Relais Savannah” neither here!! Incredible! After 20 minutes of calls, the receptionist finally gave us a horrible room in this second hotel. ROOM: - Full of mosquitoes - Awful bathroom. - No WiFi (theoretically it should have) - Almost any TV channel was available, no signal! Next morning we checked out as soon as possible (around 8.30h) in order to forget this nightmare.
The only good thing about the hotel was the location
Our first night there, there was no staff at reception we had to walk a long distance to another hotel to get checked in. Then walked back, we found bedbugs which bit us in the night. To make it worse, there was no wifi even though the brochure said there was. The bathroom was clogged up so water couldn't drain and lastly the fridge was taken away so couldn't even by cold drinks to keep in the room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all!!
Comfortable bed. flat screen tv.
shower was horrid and dirty shower curtain. very hard to get into hotel from outside. no real reception. wifi did not work. staff didnt care. two days before arrive we was notifed we would have to collect key from different location as 'reception' wasnt open???
We do not recommend this guest house to nobody. When we arrived there, we were given a room that did not correspond to the description on all portals. It was none of the rooms, which were photographed on portals. It wasn´t room, that we ordered. This room was extremely small (suitable max. for one person, not for two). This room hasn´t own bathroom. The bathroom was situated in the corridor. The lock of the door of the bathroom has been broken. Other visitors also use it, because the door of our bathroom had to be still open (they probably think, that it is available for everybody). Our room was dirty and on the horrible purple wall were many blood spots. The cupboard was extremely small and in disastrous condition. But it wasn´t the only problem. The biggest problem was bedbugs !!! After the second night we woke up with 50 rashes – on our faces, legs and hands. It was very painful. Then we found bedbugs on the walls, on the bedclothes on the towels and everywhere. The other problem was, that one of us is allergic. We had some medicine from our home, but it didn´t help for this type of beetles. Rashes were still bigger and still more painful. We spent a lot of money for buying domestic antihistamines, tablets and creams and repellents. Rashes hurt more and grow even more in the sun. During our walking tour in Rome and all holiday we must have bandage with acetic wraps. Horrible experience!!! After second night we asked for changing our room. Fortunately the staff was willing to change the room without problems. We received new room - 3 categories higher level as our firs room. This was the room, which we saw on the portals! We were happy, but not so long. Some bedbugs was there, too. No so many like in the first room, but some bedbugs were there too! We had to buy disinfectant spray and on our own expenses and we disinfected room.
We found the location excellent, in vicinity of places we wished to visit, and quiet. The price was good.
The reception did not work during our stay. Consequently, we needed time to find out certain things, e.g., elevator (our room was on 6th floor) as there was a "clutch" how to get on from ground floor, etc.
good location, clean towels everyday
No staff at reception and had to walk 1 km to get a key. We had no Wi-Fi and no en-suite bathroom which we had opted for. 3 bedroomed room was extremely small with the air-condition not fully functioning. The lights in the room did not all work. We had no extra pillows and the blankets in the wardrobe smelled really bad.
Location was really nice and easy to find. Located near termini station. Staff was nice and helpfull. Really nice plus was fridge in the room. Bed was nice to sleep. and there was extra big towel. Other people living in appartment were really nice and helpfull also.
We had private bathroom. unfortunatly shower was experince everyday. had to run water a while until it got warm and drain was not working really well. There was not wifi douring our trip, cause they just had changed the phonecompany and were waiting wifi connection..but it was ok to spend 5 days without.
wifi was out of order, no reception, we had to pick up the keys from another hotel at 1am.
I honestly can not think of any positives I experienced through booking this hotel.
To cut a long story short I didn't even end up staying in this place for the night and instead walked round Rome for an alternative. This was due to the shocking customer service i experienced here. Not only are the staff very unhelpful but the place itself isn't the best. I booked this on an inter rail trip round Europe. I stayed in alot of different countries and I have to say this is the worst place I came across. Think again before booking this place.
There is a little resteraunt 'la forchetta'on the corner of the street with good italian food not expensieve and friendly staff, and an irish bar a couple of meters further up, close by beautiful churches, termini is not far neither is the coloseum
There was no staff, just a note on the door with an adress to Pick up the keys, not knowing Rome we had to ring up to ask how to find that then go back again, we got 5 keys, front door, lift door ( which did not work) floor key, bedroom door key and a bathroom key which needed special instructions as it was difficult to turn, there was no hot water, no soap, no staff,my bedside lamp not work , we had a view of a brick wall, the airco did work but made a lot of noise and was lit up with green, yellow and red flashing lights
Nearby Termini Station
TV and wifi didn't work. The room floor was dirty.
