everything from start to finish!
The rooms and hotel deco is very nice. Breakfast in the terrance is excelent. Location very convenient.
A little bit noise from other rooms at night and no wifi in the rooms
I thought the staff was extremely helpful in helping us plan our day trips, restaurant, and beach selections. They answered every questions we had. They also had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room since we were celebrating our honeymoon. The breakfast balcony was very relaxing as well.
I wish the beds had been a bit more comfortable. The room was very clean but I think the decor could be improved on. Also I think the entire hotel should have Wifi instead of just the lobby. Although we didn't need it I think it's an amenity that all mid-range to high-end hotels should have.
Location, taste, style, cleanliness, staff, breakfast, sleep quality, the ambience of both the room and the hotel. I want to own a hotel just like this.
Cannot recommend Hotel Savoia highly enough! After having a problem with our booking they were extremely helpful and accommodating and made our potentially disastrous trip truly special. Thanks Piera and everyone at Hotel Savoia!
Very pleasant staff; hotel in excellent location relative to beach and restaurants.
Our room looked out on the town. The street traffic noise (cars, scooters, trucks), even in the very early morning was excessive and interfered with sleep.
This is a welcoming place. Nothing felt too much trouble. We booked the triple room and had plenty of space and a balcony overlooking the town. It's no more than 10 minutes walk through the shady street to the beach and ferries. Good buffet breakfast.
Nothing. First visited 30 years ago. It had the same friendly atmosphere then.
The views of Positano and the sea
no wifi in the rooms, no parking
Friendly helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Away from hurly burly of the centre of Positano but easy walk to beach and the centre.
Great location. Great service. Front desk people were very helpful for restaurants and things to do.
Often smelled sewage
Size of room Cleanliness Friendly helpful staff Location
The location is great if you are looking to stay in Positano and use this as a base to visit the nearby coastal towns. We have the option to either take the bus or ferry. We drove there and they provided very clear instructions of the location of the carpark nearby. But do check up the location of the carpark on Google Map before attempting to look for it - it is slightly hidden. If you miss the carpark, you will need to drive round the whole town before coming back as it is on a one-way road system. We drove there from Rome and it was much easier than we expected, but having a GPS is a must. Just go slow in some of the blind corners, you should be fine.
Not all rooms come with a seaview and they would not be able to confirm one for you before arrival. It wasn't a problem for us as we were out most of the time and there are many cafes nearby for you to take in the amazing view.
location, location, location breakfast friendliness of staff
rooms small and air con didnt work
Fantastic view and close to beach
In Positano, you can either be in a hotel with an excellent view or be in one close to the beach. The Savoia is a short walk from the seaside and all those restaurants.
No WIFI in the rooms so you end up having to sit in a lounge or the lobby. In 2014, this is unreasonable if not inexcusable.
Fantastic location and extremely clean. Good sized rooms.
WiFi is restricted to certain areas in reception and first floor.
Nice walk from the beach/marina, through the city, to the hotel. Great view from the room's deck, which had lounge chairs. Close to the stop for the bus to Sorrento, which we had to take when the ferry was canceled due to weather.
Pulling luggage from the marina up to the hotel would be a challenge on the narrow and crowded pedestrian streets. Its not the hotel's fault, but my luggage must have rolled off the porter's cart and been dragged during its trip from the marina to the hotel. Fortunately the damage was only cosmetic.
Breakfast good, staff very helpful and thoughtful. Location proximity is small walk, very near.
Rooms, non guaranteed rooms a little expensive. No internet in rooms, only lobby and breakfast cafe. No parking, rental nearby.
Very helpful and responsive staff. Great dining suggestions. Breakfast was lovely. Great cappuccino. The terrace was great ! We traveled with our 2 year old daughter and the hotel savoia was the right decision for our needs. I highly recommend this hotel !
Bring your own iron because the hotel had none.
Friendly staff and fantastic location
wifi on 1 level only.
beautiful boutique hotel in central location, just a few mins walk to the beach. Good buffet breakfast selection, and rooms were spacious with a lovely decor (especially the beautiful tile floors!) Would definitely stay here again!
The location. The wonderful room with its balcony. The good help we got from the fine staff. A great place.
Very close to the Historical Center. Parking lot just across the street.
I was a single traveller though I had family and friends staying at a nearby 5 star hotel with a pool, I just really needed a bed. I booked a single room and thought it would be a bit "Nana" which it was but is was perfect for my needs. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay
I like wearing ironed clothing, there was no iron available, apparently a safety issue. My family staying at a nearby 5 star hotel also had no iron, they sent their laundry to be washed and ironed which is big business in Positano. I like to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, there were none in the room or anywhere inside the hotel outside of breakfast. The fellow on the front desk at night could have been a bit more knowledgeable when I tried to pay my account before an early check out. Otherwise no complaints
Poor staff attitude
