Location, breakfast, value for money.

The review is for the Savoya Hotel Regency for we were transferred to the hotel on arrival. Very good accomodation regarding the price. Thanks to Booking.com for the information on such a good offer (price/commodity ratio). Breakfast splendid.

Excellent hotel, great breakfast buffet and possibility to have breakfast outside near the pool.

Wifi connection is rather slow

Room Service, very difficult to order something. Food was not good.

The area of the hotel is nice, without noise. It is good to relax yourself after a business day.

The gazebo in the car park is horrible; you see that during breakfast, and you feel it vomitable.

Less than 500 meters distance from motorway exit, 20 minutes to the airport! Restaurant Danilo e Patrizia in 50 meters distance is absolutely marvellous!

There was nothing deluxe about the room we stayed in; it had little natural light, one small window which looked out onto a dual carriageway. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, decor was tired and tacky, carpet was thin, the bed was two singles pushed together, very thin mattresses and only a sheet and bedcover, no blanket or duvet provided. The sheet was torn and there was a cigarette burn in the bed cover. The furniture was shabby. An orange and apple were provided (with compliments) but the apple was bruised; no water was provided with the room. The bathroom offered no special toiletries; just standard shower gel, thin and worn-looking towels and robes, cheap toilet paper. There were no glasses to use, just plastic cups. On our first night a boiler gurgled and dripped throughout the night which was above our bed. Breakfast was very average; food did not look or taste fresh; dry croissants etc. Our complaints to the manager were met with scorn; he just refused to accept there was anything below standard about the room, we were offered a different room which was even worse than ours (smaller with a similar sub-standard feel) and no other attempt to improve our stay. I cannot understand how this hotel got a four star rating and it wrongly sells itself as a luxury hotel; the photos on its website do not represent the hotel and its feel, and the service we received was not what I would have expected from a quality establishment.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Easy bus ride to city centre

Despite having a luxury room there was only one tiny window so lights needed to be on all of the time. Very noisy.

Great Hotel. We were travelling from Venice to Rome so it was just a stop over. Good pool, friendly helpful staff and a gym for a morning run. Smart room with a great breakfast. There is not much nearby to eat and the restaurant at the hotel is expensive. Food good though.

Without the sat nav in the car you would struggle to get back on the motorway again. The hotel is right on top of the motorway but there are some confusing junctions and ramps etc. mind you that's not the hotels fault! The sat nav worked fine and we made good time to Rome.

The staff were great and the room was spacious and had everything we could need. The resturant at the savoia hotel across the road serves amazing food at a brilliant price best meal I had this year. The breakfast is also excellent quality with lots of choice.

When I arrived, I discovered that I have had a free upgrade and my room was in the Savoia Regency. Great place.

The hotel is really outside the city. By bus it's quite easy to go to the city, but you will not get the feeling that you are in the city (because you aren't :p).

It was located close to the bus line directly to the centre of Bologna. At least we had the use of the pool at the Savoia Regency Hotel.

The first room we were allocated was a smoking room, which was inappropriate given that we had our 10 month old with us and are not smokers. Our next room appeared tolerable, but when we tried to turn off the air conditioning it didn't wok and reception informed us that we need to phone them to centrally turn ac on and off or change the settings. The walls were also paper thin and we could hear every word of our neighbours conversation - not ideal with a baby in the room. The next day we returned to our room to find that it smelled as though someone had been chain smoking in there due to the faulty ac. That night the ac (which we had asked to be turned off) kept turning on and off throughout the night. We checked out a day early.

Despite of the neighbouring motorway the room was very silent. Nice design, very good atmosphere, polite staff, excellent breakfast.

Need to walk to the other hotel to use the swimming pool.

The beds are quite hard and uncomfortable. Furthermore the system for opening doors with keykards, managing the A/C and lights needs extensive repairs. Annoying to be held awake from an airconditioning motor trying endlessly to start...

When again in Bologna I would not try to find a better place to stay.

According to my reservation confirmation we had to stay in one nice room for 3 in country house,but we were sent to Regency,where room was to small for 3 adults...so I do not know how is to stay in Country House.

Great Hotel. Clean, well fitted, comfortable. The staff was friendly and gentle. The room was excellent. Nice location, surrounded by parks. Although outside of the city, there is a bus stop very near. The bus takes you to the very city centre in 15 minutes. IAlso very convenient if travelling by car: There is a free parking at the hotel and the entrance to the highway is right there, impossible to miss. They also have free bycicles at the guest disposal. Good value for the price. The restaurant Garganelli is almost the only one around the hotel but the food in it is great at very reasonable prices.
