We stayed in a Junior Suite on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking San Marco basin. If this was a theatre then we had the best seats in the house as we could have sat on the balcony all day. We looked forward to returning to the hotel each day but also looked forward to getting out to see Venice as there is sooooooo moch to see and do On one of the nights a Chamber maid tried to enter our room @10pm. Every other night we were out till late but on one night we went to bed early as we were going to Milan early the next day. She was elderly / thought it was a ghost.. ha ha |

We had a nice welcome in from the rain, a lovely large room, sumptuously furnished, overlooking the Riva with a view of San Giorgio and the Bacino. We'd asked for a room with a balcony, but that wasn't available as we'd only booked a day before we arrived, so they gave us a choice of two rooms and showed us both. Buffet breakfast in the terrace cafe on the Riva was excellent - with top-up pots of coffee and hot milk No complaints. Was more expensive than we would usually be willing to pay - but the situation and comfort of the room was worth it. |

The staff were superb. We were very well received and there was a Porter to help with the luggage. The reception staff were excellent and all multi-lingual. They helped over a problem with a missed train to Rome (changing tickets etc.). My travelling companion had been in hospital before our departure on the holiday, and I had contacted the relevant hotels with important new dietary requirements for my friend. Not only had the Savoia & Jolanda briefed all the necessary staff in advance, but the Maitre D. was summoned upon our arrival to discuss exactly the food that would be required during our stay and how it should be cooked. By the time of our first dinner and breakfast special food had obviously been brought in. Our room was excellent. When we stay next time (as we will), I shall request a room on a slightly lower floor (2nd or 3rd). Our room was quiet, as requested, and the balcony afforded amazing views across the Venetian lagoon, but the lower rooms had larger balconies, although our room was certainly spacious. It is a small point. Also, the guest lift could have been somewhat larger - it was always a squash for more than three people! But it seems churlish to complain about anything in such beautiful and elegant surroundings (the hotel and Venice!), and when surrounded by such helpful and charming staff. |

Very convenient location directly on the water. Great Restaurant next door. The Hotel Daniel' next door starts at 600 Euro per night but has a really cool Piano Bar. |

Great hotel situated in an ideal location on the Grand Canal. Reception staff were great, always willing to assist. We were upgraded to a room with a huge bathroom. The room itself was surprisingly spacious and most comfortable. Breakfasts were great, good variety of foods. Would definitely recommend this hotel. |
