Nothing it's was great!
The service was welcoming from the start. We traveled 4 hours by car so we wanted to eat and go straight to bed. They quickly mad a reservation for us in the restaurant the checked us in and said we could arrive whenever we were ready. My little dog Bella was comfortable too! Great place with an amazing deal. They could rightfully charge more for the overall visit.

Good breakfast, the Orange juice machine is good. Bianco yogurt is healthy

The room was small. The bed was like sleeping on a brick with a piece of paper for a pillow.
Clean room. Very affordable. Good breakfast/restaurant. Wifi worked well within the room.

The rooms are very small. Wi-Fi wasn't great but I didn't use it much.
Location was great, beds comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the food was a great value. I have done this trip with friends 4 times and this hotel was by far the best value.

Not sure how this Hotel got it's 8.3, but this is not even close to reality!!! The facilities look much different in reality than on the pictures on booking.com: old, worn down, absolutely zero atmosphere, a shocker when you arrive and want to enjoy Italy! This is valid for the outside and for the inside as well! They had a lot of guests as it seemed, but the wast majority were physical workers (I guess). The room semlt sweaty and unclean after about 40 men gathered in a tiny room in the mid of August. The terrace was closed down as well, which I will never understand, why! In this surrounding, you can totally say goodbye to any holiday feelings! The comment to the hotel on booking.com said: We speak your languge. That's only partly true, communication in english was very difficult! Internet was not existant in the room, although room was next to reception, where the sender is. Very annoying! The main building is behind some other houses, very hard to find... The real bummer: Restaurant was closed (this seems to be some idiotic habit in Italy in the month of August!), instead we had to find a place in some dark and sticky room for dinner. Menu had only a few items listed in absolutely poor English. Waitress didn't speak English at all! It took us an eternity to order. The real shock came afterwards: meals came in cold, and three times the wrong one was erved!!! Unbelievable! Absolutely poor handling and service!!! I'm still waiting for the two bottles of mineral water ("with gas") I ordered 3 times!!! Im summary: go there if you have no other place, you get a bed, some breakfast and then you move on. There is potential in that place, but it's absolutely poorly managed! For vacation: forget it!!!
Nicole at the reception tried to help. Mattress was kinda ok. Welcome drink was offered. Coffee at breakfast was good.

The internet doesn't function in the rooms on the ground floor.
Friendly personnel; clean rooms. We dined on the outdoor terrace and had an excellent meal. Breakfast was fine

Waiters in Hotel restaurant did want to or could not speak english much, but they were patient enought to help you chose.
Hotel room was very nice, fresh and almost spotless. Hotel staff was very kind. Restaurant was packed especially durring dinner, food very very good. One waiter looked like Eric Roberts :)

Minor gripe - Wifi didn't work too well but hey we were on holiday so who cares. Some of the female staff need to learn to smile but on the whole most people were very friendly and welcoming. More flexibility of dining times would be helpful - the restaurant closes bang on 2pm.
Very friendly hotel with a nice ambience. Restaurant always busy with locals which gave the place a great buzz. Food was also mostly excellent and we ate there every evening which shows how good it was. Room was comfortable and well equipped though air con seemed to have a mind of its own.

I booked Hotel Scaldaferro and expected it to be a typical countryside restaurant with a couple of rooms. What I didn´t expect was a first class hotel with brandnew rooms, luxurious interior and a top notch technical infrastructure. Staff is highly trained, very professional and helpful and speaks english. The restaurant is superb and not pricey. Everything is first class - one feels like in a five star hotel. A real surprise and simply amazing.

Limited dining menu. Facility was a hotel, bar, and restaurant and very busy.
The hotel had air-conditioning and an on-site restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and good. The food in the restaurant was excellent, but somewhat a limited menu. Large free parking lot.

You need to input the password for WiFi after every disconnect.
Clean, welcoming facility and staff. Have a very good restaurant on premises (very convenient).
