Nicole at the reception tried to help. Mattress was kinda ok. Welcome
drink was offered. Coffee at breakfast was good.
Not sure how this Hotel got it's 8.3, but this is not even close to
reality!!! The facilities look much different in reality than on the
pictures on booking.com: old, worn down, absolutely zero atmosphere, a
shocker when you arrive and want to enjoy Italy! This is valid for the
outside and for the inside as well! They had a lot of guests as it
seemed, but the wast majority were physical workers (I guess). The room
semlt sweaty and unclean after about 40 men gathered in a tiny room in
the mid of August. The terrace was closed down as well, which I will
never understand, why! In this surrounding, you can totally say goodbye
to any holiday feelings! The comment to the hotel on booking.com said:
We speak your languge. That's only partly true, communication in
english was very difficult! Internet was not existant in the room,
although room was next to reception, where the sender is. Very annoying!
The main building is behind some other houses, very hard to find... The
real bummer: Restaurant was closed (this seems to be some idiotic habit
in Italy in the month of August!), instead we had to find a place in
some dark and sticky room for dinner. Menu had only a few items listed
in absolutely poor English. Waitress didn't speak English at all! It
took us an eternity to order. The real shock came afterwards: meals came
in cold, and three times the wrong one was erved!!! Unbelievable!
Absolutely poor handling and service!!! I'm still waiting for the
two bottles of mineral water ("with gas") I ordered 3 times!!!
Im summary: go there if you have no other place, you get a bed, some
breakfast and then you move on. There is potential in that place, but
it's absolutely poorly managed! For vacation: forget it!!!
