Scheppers Hotel  

This hotel was a little misleading. The Vatican isn't close at all. The claim to have a shuttle bus but when we asked about it they said it was broken down. I doubt they even have one. I don't suggest staying here if you plan on sightseeing in Rome since it about an hour to get into town. The room was very small. The staff was rude. They don't really have a pool its actually in a neighboring hotel about a mile away.

When we complained that it was not at all as advertised on the web, they did move us to their sister hotel, the Black Hotel, for the same price, which turned out to be very nice.

When we turned up, the only rooms left (even though we'd booked months before) were 3 dusty, dirty, badly-decorated family rooms on the ground floor (probably usually the last to be given out), which looked nothing like the pictures advertised on the web. Fabio, the receptionist, then moved us to the Black Hotel when we complained, so it all worked out ok! By the way, the hotel is at the top of a hill that doubles as a red light district at night! P.S. We had only seen the bad reviews after booking, but thought that because they were from a year ago, the hotel would have acted on some of them since then. They haven't, unfortunately! Really is not worthy of 3*.

Quadruple room for 4 persons was too congested.

It was a bit out of the city but was easy to get bus and metro into the centre and was great value for money!

The location - a little bit far from metrou station. The breakfast - so so.

mobilio vecchio, mattonelle rigate, colazione pessima(non prendete asolutamente nè caffè nè cappuccino, sembrano fattti da un barman skizzofrenico e il resto è comunque appena sufficiente)posizione pessima molto lontano dal centro e per arrivare alla fermata del bus bisogna fare un tratto a piedi in una strada a scorrimento veloce senza marciapiedi (molto pericoloso), le pareti delle stanze sembrano dipinte da un pazzo, nella prima camera che mi hanno dato non funzionava il riscaldamento, nella seconda la luce all'ingresso......da demolire!!!!!

Op de website staat: gratis pendeldienst naar cornelia station: men vraagt 2€ pp. Er staat dat er een zwembad aanwezig is: ligt op 10 min wandelen wat niet te doen is naar een vermoeiende dag Rome. Gelegen "in een groene wijk": zeg maar openbaar vuilnisbelt. Het duurde met het openbaar vervoer 1 uur om tot Rome te geraken.Er was ontbijt aanwezig van 6 tot tien, maar als je om bv 9 uur kwam was het meeste op en werd niet bijgevuld

La colazione, durante la quale mi sentivo osservato, era carente e la pulizia delle camere lasciava a desiderare.

non ho mai soggiornato in un hotel così sporco. nella mia stanza c'era addirittura una pipì di cane (almeno sembrava) incrostata al pavimento. la stanza non è stata pulita tra una notte e l'altra ma solamente coperto il letto.

Zona tranquilla, non rumorosa. vicinanza strade grande scorrimento.

La silenziosità complessiva della struttura, trovandosi molto vicino ad un'arteria ad alto scorrimento, poteva essere più rumoroso, evidentemente la posizione sopraelevata e la presenza di vegetazione ed altri stabili scherma moltissimo il rumore!! Cortese lo staff.

L'arredo sommario ed usurato della stanza presa, qualche pecca nel servizio! La difficoltà di raggiungimento della struttura, alla prima fermata utile delle autolinee mancano le indicazioni (sono solo 200 - 250 mt)
