Hosts went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible, Antonio and his wife are wonderful people! Room was clean, spacious, quiet. Location good - a 6minute bus ride from the Vatican/10minutes to the centre of the city. Too far to walk but buses very regular. For the money it represented excellent value!
I truly could not fault the accomodation and would stay again. Those with more money to spend may wish to get a hotel closer to the centre but this was not an issue as the buses were so frequent.
Me and my girlfriend stayed 2 days in this place and i can honestly say that i felt like i am at home. This sounds like little bit weird but for some people this is very important and i think i am one of them. Antonio and his lovely wife was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen, bathroom and the room was very clean and cosy. And the room get cleaned every day. for the location ıt was really close to Vatikan. and was not very far from center. I definetly suggest scriva guest house
Everything is good. The host is really nice. He sent the bus map to us in advance and told us a lot of tips about traveling in Roma. Moreover, he give us lots of favor and didn't charge any penny.
Just a little bit far from city center(30 min by bus) and a little far from metro (15 min on foot. BUT anything else is perfect!!
Antonio was a great host. Very helpful, friendly and always cared about our comfort. The appartment was very clean and cosy. The location is few minutes walk from San Pietro. We are 100% sure where we stay next time we will travel to Rome.
Very clean and neat appartment with kitchen. Interesting design. Very friendly and hospitable owner. Nice Rome area, quiet and not far from subway (can be reached via bus)
Antonio provided several services including restaurant, site seeing, and transportation suggestions. He was a gracious host and went above and beyond all expectations. The place was very quiet and very clean. Would definitely suggest staying there.
The host was very friendly and always helpful, including washing our clothes and keeping the apartment very clean. It was easy to catch a bus to the major sites of Rome.
I liked everything.
It was the best appartment I've ever been before! Antonio, thank you very much for everything-for comfort, for perfect kitchen, for cleaning every day, for your maps and for your attention!
A little cold in May
We will certainly be recommending this place to family or friends. Our room was comfortable and clean with a table so we could comfortably eat a breakfast or supper. It was great to have the fully equipped kitchen available. The owner Antonio was very helpful and friendly. He welcomed us as we arrived and provided us with a lot of info about Rome. The accommodation is very close to local shops and two supermarkets, plus there are also good restaurants in the area. Also very handy if anyone wants to stay close to Vatican City – walking distance.
Owner of the hotel ,and his wife, are kind people. Helpful with how to get there from the FCO.
Friendly staff gave us a comprehensive run down on public transport and what to see. Room was cleaned daily and with a washing service that very helpful. Full kitchen at disposal. Location close to main bus line into the city centre and walkable to the Vatican.
Thin walls and doors you can hear everyone coming and going.
Antonio was an excellent host! He made sure we had everything we needed, and even did our laundry for us! He gave us printouts of the bus and metro transit maps and explained which buses we would need for where we wanted to go. The room was nice and clean, and the shared bathroom arrangement worked out with very few problems. I highly recommend this property.
It can be difficult to find, and isn't close to major sites other than Vatican City. Other sites can be reached by bus though.
Everything was good, the staff, room, the kitchen, facilities,we really have liked, too near to Vaticano.
almost everything - the guesthouse is clean, comfortable, Antonio - the owner - is really nice person. i really recommend it to everyone.
location - it's a little bit far away from everything, but there are buses and metro nearby. and the GH is on the ground floor and our windows were facing the street, but i guess that there are 2 other rooms with windows facing the courtyard. if it's important to you, ask Antonio if these 2 rooms are free.
All was perfect!! The owner is wonderful, he help us a lot, give some direct and tips, the room is comfortable and really clean. We will stay there again! I really recommend.
Antonio was really nice and always helped us when needed! He tried to explain everything, gave us maps and tips about Rome; the room was always clean!
I really do not think that for the price we payed that was the best place to be, it was close to Vaticano, yes. But it was far away from everything else. We got to take the bus to every other place and Rome is quite messy in the signs so it was a little hard.
1. The owner of this apart. Is helpful and willing to offer his help all the time. He is excellent. 2. Facility, comfort, and the cleanness all were marked EXCELLENT by me and my companions as well. 3. As for the location, it can be either viewed as good or not so good, It depends upon the way you look at it. My point is that its location is within waling distance to Vatican City, 10-15 minutes by walking, which offer us a good chances to revisit the St. Peter's Basilican either in the late afternoon or in the morning. Rick Steve is right that there are always so many people waiting to get into the church in the daytime. The best hours to visit, therefore, the church would be late in the afternoon, 4.30-6.30 pm. We had visited the church for 3 times, 2 in the late afternoons. (And, one whole day stayed in the Vatican Museum and the Dome.) On the other hand, it will be a bit too far to go to the different historical sites from this apartment. We took, however, buses, #31 or #32, to get to the subway station, Ottaviano, and it then took us to wherever we liked to go. (Or you could get on hop-on-off bus near the church.) Finally, it locates in a safe area as well. In short, I think this apartment is a smart and right choice to stay, especially if you have many days in Rome.
Nothing I can think of about this issue.
Antonio is the perfect host. He explained the little bit confusing bus system to us and told us the best places to go. He perfectly cleaned up every day and was very polite. We really enjoyed talking with him about Rome, culture, traveling, food,... The accomodation is completly equiped even with hair dryer, shampoo, adapters for power plugs, the kitchen with spices, oil, acid, ... we didnt miss anything. And we really enjoyed the candy he filled up every day. We can definitly recommend this appartment! Mille Grazie per il bel vacanza Antonio!!!!
Mr. Antonio is very gentle. It is easy to use public transportation. The bathroom is very clean. Excellent value for money.
No negative comments.
We had a great stay! The apartment was cleaned everyday and was spotless. The facilities were good with everything you might need. Although we didn't use it, the kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to cook. Our bedroom was a good size with a comfortable bed and fridge. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to help in any way they could; giving directions, recommending transport links, restaurants etc. The apartment was located close to bus stops which took us into the centre and to all the main sights.
Staff, location, price
The effort Antonio and Loredana went to to make us comfortable. They even drove us to the perimeter of the city to save us walking.
Antonio was very friendly and he tried pick up us at the railway station and had room cleaned, introduce about Roma to us. Location was very good, quite but near to Vatican and all other bus lines to tourist attractions.
Antonio is a very lovely and friendly person, he stood at the street crossing when we arrived, made himself conspicuous so that we could find the hotel easily. It was a very considered. Anyway, we like him and his wife. The room is clean and big, with nice decoration. The kitchen is fully equipped and free to use. I will definitely recommend his apartment to the visitors who are looking for an accomodation in Rome.
Very good accomodation, no negative commends.
Antonio is really a good guy by heart.
