Morning hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They helped me find places on a map and helped me navigate the bus system. The hotel is located 2-3 minute walk to a main train stop and bus stop; which made getting to/from places easier. Although the Opera is close by, it was closed and under construction. More expensive for what I expected. The pictures on the website are deceiving and the hotel does not look like anything you see on the website. My bed and pillows were hard as a board. I thought at time that sleeping on the floor would be more comfortable. The hotel appears to be down a bad street, but many cafes and hotels are located on the same street with many people.

The location was perfect, the staff was friendly and the hotel gave us a recommendation for a very good restaurant where we got a free drink and 20% discount for staying at the hotel. The outside and inside of the building have some common areas that are not very pretty, however once inside the hotel property, it is very nice.

The hotel was located near the Termini station. This was convenient for us to catch the tour buses and public transportation. Very close to all of Rome's attractions if you don't mind walking. Breakfast was included with typical Italian pastries, juices, coffee, breads, meats, cheese, and fruits. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was on the end of the hallway which was a great deal smaller than our friends who stayed right next to us, but we were there to see the city, not stay in our room all day.

It was in a great location. Each morning, we enjoyed a very tasteful buffet breakfast. The room and the toilette were clean. The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. One of us lost her id card and her documents in Termini and they did plenty of calls to the metro station and to our embassy to help us deal with our problem. I totally recommend it! The hotel entrance is a little disappointing, but once you get inside, you forget all about it.

Location is really good, close to railway and subway. An old building with small rooms. Breakfast was not so good, it's better to have it in the restaurant.

Great Location - right beside Termini, Opposite the Opera House. It's the 3rd and fourth floor of a building, with reception at ground floor. 15 minute walk to Trevi Fountain. We arrived late and it was handy to get 20% off in Cotto (Lovely food esp potatoes) and complimentary glass of Prosecco. Area was quite and we felt safe at night. Room was spacious enough - not at all cramped. And quiet. Lovely (proper) shower and everything worked fine. Safe in the room, and air con. WiFi is at a surcharge. If you're interested, TV had all connections (HDMI etc) but you're in the heart of Rome... Breakfast was good (not of Irish proportions): Ham, cheese, coffee pastries, muesli, bread, eggs. From 7-10 am, times are perfect. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Towels were nice and room cleaned daily. They let us leave our bags after check-out also. All in all great value

It was near the train station and metro I called about the shower not draining and they never fixed it. It was gross to shower there. I want a discount. Also they didn't tell me how the Internet worked.

Good location. Staff seemed friendly. Room had brown curtains, brown bed cover, everything seemed to be in brown. Made the room appear dark. I had a double room and it was too small for one person. I didn't like Hotel Serene very much. I wouldn't go back.

Location, friendly hotel personnel, cleainess of room. We were located in your new "residence" portion of the hotel. Some things in the room were not working properly, ie tv not hooked up at all (that was fixed by moving to a new room). The light switches to turn off the two strip lighting bu the bed did not function properly...had to keep pushing them as much as 10 times to get the lights to turn off. The shower kept overflowing due to a "filter" in the drain that had not been removed (this was finally fixed on the third day of our stay). No English speaking channels on tv. While the breakfast was adaquite, some variety in the food would have been nice, we were there for three mornings/

The location was great,as it was close to the train station, restaurants and shopping areas. The hotel room was clean and roomy and breakfast was good. Hotel front staff were very helpful and friendly and made great recommendations for restaurants and shopping. The beds were a little firmer than what I am use to, but still had a comfortable sleep. Would recommend table and chair to be able to do work on, and perhaps a small couch, as we only had 1 chair in the room to sit on.

Great location. Clean room. Disappointing. Room was dingier and starker than website pictures would indicate. Attitude of front desk staff ranged from sarcastic to downright surly. It was my first time in Rome, but surely one could do better for the price.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the main (Termini) train station and the Metro station. The staff was very helpful offering advice on local restaurants(try Cotto's) and directions to all the sights . We walked to the Coloseum in 15 minutes. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were large and tiled. Breakfast was very nice with assorted pastries, cereals, juices, meats, boiled eggs, etc. They even went the extra mile and called a cab to the airport for us. Location, location, location.
